Stimulus Includes Healthcare!
The Conservative American ^ | 2/10/9 | Peter Andrew

Posted on 02/10/2009 4:26:32 PM PST by Peter Andrew Conservative

"...'Your medical treatments will be tracked electronically by a federal system. Having electronic medical records at your fingertips, easily transferred to a hospital, is beneficial. It will help avoid duplicate tests and errors. But the bill goes further. One new bureaucracy, the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, will monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective. The goal is to reduce costs and “guide” your doctor’s decisions.'

...More people have got to start taking us seriously when we call this man the nation’s first socialist President! This is a blatant step toward European socialist healthcare. Complain all you want about our healthcare system. it has problems and many complaints may be justified. However, it is the best system in the world. Improve it? You betcha. Get rid of it and replace it with socialism? No way.

“This is a blatant step toward European socialist healthcare.”

Nope.

This is European socialist healthcare.

Are any other nurses like me getting this email propaganda today? (from an SEIU pushing nurse)

“Axxxxx,

I didn’t get into health care for the paperwork. I did it to help people - and I know you did, too.

So, when legislation comes along that helps us spend more time treating patients than we do filling out forms, I get excited. And when special interests try to stop that legislation, I get mad.

The Economic Recovery Act that passed the Senate today includes practical steps to improve health IT nationwide and cut down on paperwork. This one bill would do more to modernize the health care industry in one month than we’ve done in the past decade.

Now, opponents of this legislation - led by Rush Limbaugh - are launching an all-out smear campaign in the media. Will you help us push back? Write a letter to your editor right now: action.seiu.org/recovery
Set the record straight

As nurses, our voices are critical in this debate. By explaining the benefits of health IT, we’ll have a seat at the table in deciding how this technology is implemented. Adopting better technology in our hospitals could save about $80 billion nationwide. That’s $80 billion that can be used to fund better staffing and safety.

It also has the potential to cut down on charting & paperwork and reduce errors. Studies show that nurses in hospitals that adopt health IT spend less time documenting patient care and more time delivering it.

People may not understand all the ins and outs of the Economic Recovery Act, but they’ll understand a nurse telling them the benefits it will have for patient care. Take a few minutes to write a letter to your newspaper right now: action.seiu.org/recovery

Thanks,
Cathy Glasson, RN
Value Care, Value Nurses”

This is even more insidious. Think of it.

Do you smoke? Are you overweight? Have diabetes? Do you drink alcohol? Coffee? Think how they can ration health care to people they deem as contributing to their own “health concerns.” Are you 70 or over? Your usefulness is over. To quote Dickens “Better you should perish and decrease the surplus population.” You die, no Social Security benefits. Government takes money.

Wisconsin is complicit. Epic Systems, which designs these electronic medical tracking systems is getting HUGE contracts in the near future for implementation.

News was just breaking at 6pm here, tonight. I’ll post a link once an article is up somewhere in the WI media.

Cathy Glasson apparently spends all her extra time sending pro-union emails instead of caring for those patients she so desperately loves.

Have an email addy? Let’s do our own version of a LEVIN surge!

“Are you 70 or over? Your usefulness is over.”

That’s pretty terrifying on it’s own. I have people in their late 60’s and 70’s working for me...and they run CIRCLES around me some days while I’m at 49 and holding!

Glasson is a total twit. Get her on Hannity, Levin, Limbaugh and try to pull this. Sooo, Cathy, health care has only been waiting for the Great Obama in order to modernize. You and your commie union buddies can go straight to Hades. This lady cites no facts at all.

You’re right Cathy - you didn’t get into health care for the paperwork - you apparently are in it to be a useful socialist union TOOL.

I just wrote back to her and basically said what you said. I doubt my email will get read by her, though.

Yep, and they will end up raising the retirement age to 70 before long.. I can work till I’m 70, but who the hell is going to hire a 68-69 year old. 25 years experience in import/export and can’t get a job now because of my age.

Just go ahead and shoot me, put me out of my misery.....death may be better than watching O destroy this country.

Did you know that if doctors submit their RX’s thru a ‘special’ computer system hooked up directly with EVERY pharmacy, they get a little extra $$ from Medicaid? In order to do this, ALL of your records, test reports, letters from other docs etc. are in a computer complete with a monitor in each examining room. They even have a field that they can post your picture in along with your demo info. They just type in the RX and shoot it off just like an email.
My former dr went MD-VIP a few years ago; you have to pay a quarterly fee to be his patient. It was about $3000 a year. They still file with your insurance, but you are guaranteed to be seen the same day and get at least an hour of his time. Healthcare for the rich. Like belonging to a country club.
So, us poor people, who can just about afford the copays, can’t pay the price of admission to get real, honest to goodness ‘CARE’. Only our symptoms will be treated, because to find out the cause will cost too much money and take up too much time.

Ahhh . . . that’s just the conclusion they hoped you’d come to - the begging for legalization of euthanasia.

You are 1 of a very few that hire older people....thank you.

You’re welcome! If they have the skill set I need, and can still lift 50 lbs., are pleasant to be around and are great with the customers...no problem.

There are plenty of healthy people out there in their 60’s and 70’s, no matter WHAT the youth-obsessed media tells us. My Mom is 72; you should see what she accomplishes in a day!

My best decor person for the store is a STUNNING 60 year old who is beautiful inside and out. You’d leave your wife and kids just to carry her purse for 10 minutes, LOL! (Not that I approve of that behavior!!)

Seniors give you excellent value for your business dollar. They show up on time and SOBER for work. Can’t say the same for a lot of our 20-somethings. They have NO clue what their part is in running a business (though they are well trained!) and they just can’t compete with seasoning and skill and Real Life experiences.

We hire a lot of local, retired Farm Guys and Farm Gals. Can’t beat them for a stellar Work Ethic. :)
