Okay, we lost $20 at the Seminole Casino on Saturday...but that was the first time we gambled in at least 4 months.

Lives in Hollywood Fl. He was in a panic over the job loss. Smart youngster (mid 30's).

Pure genius. Out of a job, lets go gamble what money we do have.

AMERICA gambled three months ago today--bet on Baraccarat--and so far we're losing.

Blackjack is one of the few games where the house edge can be eroded to nothing by a smart disciplined player. They can ask you to either play any other game in the establishment or leave the premises.

[Think about how DUmb DUmmie Billy Burnett would be for posting this story out in the open...assuming it's true which is a mighty big assumption.]

There is some truth to that -- if the gambler plays the odds perfectly every time, then depending on the house rules (typically whether the dealer has to hit or stand on a soft 17) then the odds are either even or a slight edge to the player.

The trick is, that only works over the long haul and only if you play the odds perfectly. Maybe 1 player in 1000 can do that.

As for making a living doing it by only putting down $200 and playing a few hours a week? No way. The player's edge might be as much as .25% to .50% of the bet amount -- it would take over 1000 hands, on average, at a .5% advantage, to make a 200x increase. You also don't just "walk away" after one losing hand -- you keep playing the same bet over and over again to maximize your advantage and "smooth out" randomness. (i.e., how the casino generally makes their money)

Actually, it was California v Cabazon that was the deciding case, though alas, the Morongo tribe didn’t keep the original bingo hall (it was there for a number of years..) In response to the win in the SCOTUS, the Indian Gaming and Regulatory Act was signed by Ronald Reagan.

But what a find - the fertilizer in this story is enough to keep my lawn green for at least a decade.

To the father; your son does have a system...selling drugs and lying to you(as many have suggested.) Sorry to break it to you.

I laughed at this one, but it also made me a little sad. It’s so easy to be in denial when a loved one is up to something shady, and not just for DUmmies.

If we could sell and distribute the BS that is DU, we would never have to manufacture fertilizer ever again in this country.

HOWEVER, the runoff would make rivers and streams undrinkable....

"Plays one on one w/the dealer."

There's the BS evidence, right there. Even if you remember a good system, winning any large amount while playing one-on-one with the dealer is impossible.

My son lost his job 4 months ago. Now, unemployed, makes more money than you can shake a stick at.
  • Goes to the casino early every morning
  • He goes into the casino w/a $200 roll
  • Rinse repeat 1x to 4x per day.
  • Comes back later in the day and wins $5,000.
  • On average he spends no more than 10 hours a week playing
  • He made $40,000 in January ... in line with his per month ... winnings from the previous 3 months.
This story has so many holes its un fricken believable. The math just doesn't add up - wins $40K four months running, YET only spends 10 hours a week playing - BUT he plays "every day".

Not even James Bond is this good at cards.

Daddy is a gullible moonbat. The kid is either smuggling drugs, running guns or prostituting himself to some Gay Cuban millionaire.

No doubt this story is complete and total BS. The math says it can't be true.

Take the $20K winnings starting with a $200 bankroll.

He would have to put the entire $200 down on the first hand. Win. Then bet the $400. Win. And continue doing that for 8 straight hands. That would put him at $25,600.

The chances of winning 8 consecutive hands is very very slim. But further, the table max will likely kick in on the 2nd hand. 3rd without a doubt. With a $500 table max, he would have to win 39 consecutive hands to reach $20,000. And I suspect the table max is less than $500. Remember, he walks away after his 1st lost hand.

This story is 100% a lie. Total and complete BS.

I am going with he is a rental boy toy for wealthy gays, or he is dealing drugs.
