A Prayer Request - Vanity

Please pray for the family of my dear Friend David K. (I don't believe he was a FReeper, so I'd like to keep his name as an initial).
David passed away at this afternoon in the Seattle, WA area. He was in his mid-forties (just a couple of years older than I am). He lived in Seattle with his wife and three darling young boys. David is no longer in pain from the cancer that he fought for 9 months, but his family will need all of the grace and blessings we can bring through prayer.
Thank you all in advance, and please forgive me if I am slow to respond. I have some praying and crying of my own to do.

Just for clarity, David was my friend from a former work position in Savannah, Georgia. I moved on to a new position in Kansas, and he and his family returned to the Seattle area about 4 years ago. I grieve for David, but especially for his wife and their three young boys.
And thank you for your kind thoughts, and especially your prayers.

I am comforted by knowing that David and Shelley were indeed Christians, bringing up their boys in a God-loving home. I, too, pray that this terrible loss will become a source of christian strength in the years to come.
For now, I pray that their faith will sustain them in this dark hour.
