Carter Label Has Obama Wincing
Times of London ^ | 02/01/2009 | Sarah Baxter

LESS than two weeks into his administration, President Barack Obama is being portrayed by opponents as a new Jimmy Carter - weak at home and naive abroad - in an attempt to dim his post-election glow and ensure that he serves only one term.

The charge has stung because it was made privately by Hillary Clinton supporters during a hard-fought primary campaign and plays to fears about Obama’s inexperience.

Seems pretty accurate to me. I thought the dems loved Jimmah. Hussein should welcome the comparisons.

A Diageo/Hotline poll last week found that 75% of voters are “confident” that Obama will bring “real change to the way things are done in Washington” - a rise of nine points since the election.

And thanks to the idiot American electorate, he'll win his second term. That should give him all the time he needs to destroy this nation - and the rest of the world with it.

Therein lies the rub.

The poll said he will bring "change".

It didn't say whether it would be "good change" or "bad change", just "change"....

Here's a good quip:

"George Mitchell’s first foray into the Middle East as special envoy last week was greeted by the Israeli bombing of tunnels on the Egypt-Gaza border."

"America’s European allies, including Britain, have shown little interest in helping to close Guantanamo Bay by taking detainees, nor in stumping up the money and troops for a surge in Afghanistan. At home there has been an outbreak of nimbyism over the housing of Guantanamo detainees at US mainland prisons."

This is a good article to read. Hit on it:)

Yes, BO is Jimmy Carter Part II ... will he tell us to wear sweaters and turn down the thermostat the rest of the winter? Question is ... who will be the “Ronald Reagan” to run against him and beat him in 2012?

The Brits seem puzzled that ungrateful republicans would dare so soon to disrespect the Dear Leader.

Lots of bad things can happen between now and 2012 and the blame will be placed on Zero.

You know, that’s funny. I could’ve sworn that B. Clinton said that too! And we all know what kind of change HE brought in!

He already did, during the campaign. Remember, "We can't just drive where we want and keep our homes at 72 degrees and expect the rest of the world to say 'that's OK'"

You mean like when you get all that money and you stock up on Krystaaall! instead of other more refined noshes? Or, when you go for a tricked out Escalade with the $20K '22s'?

My aunt, rest her Georgia soul, always said "there ain't no telling" to explain such, but one thing "the truth will always out."

Good question. The Republican savior wont be Palin. Bless her heart, she’s a fine Governor for Alaska but its so obvious she doesn’t have the intellectual chops to run the country. It sure as hell wont be Romney, Huckaphony, or any of the other loser retreads from 2008. We cant let the MSM pick our nominee again. I hope the new GOP chairman is looking carefully at ways to prevent this in the 2012 primaries. In the meantime, lets focus on taking Congress back in 2010 so we can put the brakes on the socialist agenda of King Barry Hussein Soetoro I, a/k/a Barack Hussein Obama, the Messiah.
