With Jews worldwide facing an outbreak of anti-Semitism unprecedented since the days of the old Soviet Union, the trivial prattle of a gaggle of silly “yentas” on the daytime talk show “The View” is very low on my list of “stuff to be outraged about.” I do not watch this program, or television altogether, and when “The View” broadcast a program featuring actress Susie Essman promoting her new movie while repeating the most obnoxious and grotesque stereotypes about religious Jews, Chabad Jews in particular, I was asked by fellow blogger Debbie Schlussel to post a link to this program on my blog, which I did.
On this program, Susie Essman and the regular celebrities who appear on “The View,” described Chabad Hasidic women as, “ugly,” they dress funny, they have “weird and bizarre” religious customs, and they are all “ugly.” Ugly! Ugly! (Speaking of ugly) Whoopie Goldberg once appeared on the Chabad Telethon program, so she at least should have been aware of the community works they do in California, for Jews and non-Jews, but for whatever reason, maybe short term memory loss brought on by drug abuse, remained silent during Susie Essman’s ignorant rant except to nod and grin and appear to agree. This is the same Whoopie Goldberg who thought that John McCain, if elected, would re-institute slavery and send her "back" to some plantation.
Ms. Schlussel was outraged by the vicious characterizations of Chabad Jews made by the panelists on “The View,” justifiably so in my opinion. I have been asked to describe my personal reaction to this program.

This after the Chabad house in Mumbai was invaded and the people living there murdered by terrorists.
I am outraged!
Seeing the hatred that Conservative and Reform Jews all too often display towards believing and practicing Jews and Israel itself makes me shake my head in wonder.
I don't believe you find find 5 more stupid women (Hasselback included), if you tried. This show is an embarrassment to all American women. The sad part is the show does very, very well in its time slot.

I don't know if that was the plan, but it is certainly how it worked out.
I wish Gilda Radner was alive. She could flay them.
And finally, while Susie Essman has indeed made me laugh over the years with her stand-up and comic movie roles, she is--without a doubt--not someone who should be throwing stones at other women's looks.

The term “Judeophobia” antedates “homophobia,” a term that I never heard before the 1970’s, and I prefer “Judeophobe” to “anti-Semite.”
The big question:
Why is Joy Behar on television? Did she ever do anything? Shouldn’t people on TV talk shows at least be popular, or have good looks, or be intelligent or in some way distinguish themselves?
Some people have asked, why should we even care about this stupid show and the ugly, not-too-bright *itches on it?
The problem is that millions of mental defectives tune in every day and hang on to their every word.
If Don Imus was fired for making a comment about African-American women athletes’ hair, and Michael Richards forced to go to rehab for getting into a cussing match with some homies who heckled his comedy act, why shouldn’t Susie Essman be held to the same standard?
Loved the part about relating a marriage to an observant Jew to marrying a Republican. And the idea that Hasidic Jews oppose education for their daughters, where the *ell did that come from?
Very few ethnic groups you could have pulled this off about, and you're right, blacks or Muslims, start looking for a new job.
BTW, Rivkie Holzberg is quite attractive, maybe I’m just old, and dressed better than the media clown.
