The editors of Time Magazine make a big show of how they demand a separation of Advertising interests and Editorial as not to have any hint of impropriety. One wonders why they don't make the same separation with major investors. Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal who owns a big chunk of News Corp, also owns a big chunk of Time Magazine's parent company Time Warner. This partly explains the Middle East coverage provided by the Magazine and its sister company, CNN.
The cover story of latest issue of Time Magazine, "Why Israel Can't Win" seems almost like a cheer leading section for the terrorist Hamas:
With each passing day, Israels war against Hamas grows riskier and more punishing, with the gains appearing to diminish compared to the spiraling costs to Israels moral stature, to the lives of Palestinian civilians and to the worlds hopes that an ancient conflict can ever be resolved.
The story isn't out of character for the "reporter" Tim McGirk, he is the guy that broke the phony story of the Haditha "massacre."
When you read the analysis that follows, you will see that the Saudi Prince's ownership of 5% the company purchased a lot of editorial integrity:

Because they are brain dead, selfish liberals.
This is a trick question, isn’t it?
I thought the Saudi royal family hated Hamas?
Time doesn't care that once upon a time people like me used to subscribe to them. Just wondering if they're in financial trouble...
Ummm, because they’ve decided to side with evil?
I'll answer my own question. They basically support immorality. It doesn't matter whether it is underage sex, homosexuality, abortion, taking the property of one and giving it to someone they deem more worthy (usually taking a small cut for themselves), lying, &c. The left makes the Cosa Nostra seem downright honest.

...The enemy within.
Because liberalism is a mental disorder?
I read the article over the weekend and I would not describe it as a cheerleading pierce for Hamas at all. It simply detailed the very real challenges Israel faces in dealing with the numerous issues surrounding it, including Hamas, Hizbullah, and the moderate Sunni states that have been working to work with Israel.
Why is the sky blue?
When was there ever ANY "editorial integrity" with or without the Saudi Prince? Not in the past 40 yrs., perhaps more.
Paddy Chayefsky was dead on in "Network":
"You have meddled with the primal forces of nature, Mr. Beale, and I won't have it, is that clear?! You think you have merely stopped a business deal - that is not the case! The Arabs have taken billions of dollars out of this country, and now they must put it back. It is ebb and flow, tidal gravity, it is ecological balance. You are an old man who thinks in terms of nations and peoples. There are no nations! There are no peoples! There are no Russians! There are no Arabs! There are no Third Worlds! There is no West! There is only one holistic system of systems, one vast and immane, interwoven, interacting, multi-variate, multi-national dominion of dollars! Petro-dollars, electro-dollars, multi-dollars, reichmarks, rins, rubles, pounds and shekels! It is the international system of currency which determines the totality of life on this planet. That is the natural order of things today. That is the atomic, and subatomic and galactic structure of things today. And you have meddled with the primal forces of nature, and you will atone!"
Do people still read Time? Isn’t about to go under too?
“Why Is Time Magazine Rooting for Hamas?”
Why is the Pope Catholic?
