Larry Elders for CA US Senate

Elders for CA US Senate Seat
TOPICS: History; Politics; Religion; Society
KEYWORDS: larryelder; larryelders
I wish Larry Elders would consider running for CA US Senate Seat. Prop 8 passing may be the first sign that the pendulum may have begun to swing the other direction in this liberal state. People are utterly fed up with the liberals in this state - high unemployment, rampant illegal immigrant crimes, rundown neighborhoods, radical gay agendas from schools to colleges. What a mess!

He might do OK, but I’d prefer Larry Elder.

I used to like to listen to him on the radio, but he isn’t in the Portland market anymore that I’m aware of. I know he was thoughtful guy who kind of supported the amnesty for illegals stuff. I wish the GOP would run candidates who stand on basic conservative principles that don’t change. We don’t have to change our values to appeal to different coalitions. As Mark Levin was saying today, conservative principles are the antidote to tyranny.

Oh, how disappointing. I thought your headline meant he was going to run, not that you hoped was going to run.

I don’t think elder supports the role of the state to define marriage between a man and a woman.

How is any conservative seriously supposed to successfully win a U.S. Senate seat in today’s California?

One of the most intelligent conservatives on the dial, but still way too libertarian for my tastes. Pro-gay marriage. Pro immigration reform. Anti drug war.

+1 on Duncan Hunter.
Larry Elder is a Libertopian, not a conservative. He is pro abortion, pro gay marriage, pro illegal alien amnesty. He also supported the kidnapping and deportation of Elian Gonzales. I don’t understand why conservatives would support Larry Elder.

I dont understand why conservatives would support Larry Elder. Ordinarily I'd agree, but this is California so I have low expectations. Compared to Boxer or Feinstein, Elder's a godsend. He opposed Prop. 8, but he's as appalled as we are at the way the gays are reacting to the measure's passing.

My question actually is meant to be asked about any and all non-leftist candidates at the state level and at the federal level from within today’s California. How can any non-leftist candidate, at either the state or federal level, successfully succeed in winning California?
