2012 Contracts Now Available on Intrade -- Palin is Underpriced
Intrade ^ | December 5, 2008 | Intrade

Posted on 12/06/2008 12:26:03 AM PST by Kevmo

Intrade opened up contracts for 2012 recently. Palin is priced at $12, Jindal at $22, which suggests Palin is underpriced compared to her popularity. There is an anti-Palin/Anti-Social Conservative bias at Intrade, so that is probably dampening Palin's price.

If you thunk McCain’s speech woulda gotten higher ratings than Obama’s without gov Palin being on the ticket, I got an ice skiing slope in Florida i wanna sell ya.
***Interestingly, the phrase used to be swamp land. But it turned out that really was valuable.

The only people who stated spewing out hate and foaming at the mouth after Gov Palin’s speeches and interviews were the brain dead twats at Daily Kos, panicked obamabots and his liberal media robots.
***And RINOs

She probably has a laundry list of Supreme Court decisions she doesn’t like, such as Kelo, but her running mate would have been offended. Now that she’s out from under his shadow, that won’t be a problem.

Some of those fools made a ton of money, much of it by putting their money where their mouth is. And there’s even the possibility of the emotional hedge — like getting paid money when Obama won the election so it doesn’t hurt so bad. But I wouldn’t expect a troll like you to understand. You’re too stupid to realize that that’s what this whole thread is about. I love to play poker against fish like you.

Same crap about the Gov cut and pasted to each thread about her. It’s old.

Link was from the wall street journal, I guess you think it is some liberal newspaper. First time I ever posted it, but seeing your response you can count on my posting it as much as possible.

Intrap is a waste of time and you are a wast of time, but something tells me your are just attempting to get people to log on to a site such as in-whatever, Because no one with the sense god gave a goose would waste time there.

I wasn't talking about the link. I was talking the things you constantly regurgitate about Palin. It's tired.

Gov Palin knows more about international relations(since she's had to deal with the Canadians), than Obama did when he started running to be president.

I watched Palin's final debate from her gubernatorial race. She did awesome. But on the national scene she raised a lot of questions in people's minds about her readiness. I get the impression that she is quite well prepared to deal with Alaskan issues but for some reason she had not focused on or followed the national and international scene even as much as many visitors to this website.

This is a guy that was so clueless, he had to take an emergency trip to Iraq, Afghanistan and Europe, just so he could appear to know anything at all about foreign policy, just a few months before the elections.

Obama's trip didn't give him time to learn very much. It was just a big PR job to show that he could converse with foreign leaders and the military. Aside from not visitng the soldiers at Landstuhl, he pulled it off extremely well. If he was entirely clueless about foreign policy, he would have screwed it up in some more obvious way.

Exactly what did Obama know before he started running for president? Nothing!

Let's say that you are right and that Obama knew absolutely nothing about the international scene when he started running for president, and furthermore that he is as clueless as you say. Then all Palin will have to do is study for a couple of years and she will be more than caught up with where Obama is at this point.

But people don't learn about foreign affairs just by negotiating with foreign countries (e.g. Canada). They learn by being curious, by reading and talking to people. A leader should have more intellectual curiosity than the average person.

Palin's problem at this point, if she wants to continue at the highest level of politics, is that voters still have to be convinced that she actually has the ability to catch up on foreign affairs.

Yeah, that bellwether swing state Georgia..whew, this proves that without her, we'd not have a chance on the national scene! </sarc>

Then there's this...

Chambliss said GOP volunteers from 43 states came to Georgia to assist his runoff bid, licking envelopes, calling voters and knocking on doors to get voters back to the polls.

“You’re the reason this happened,” the 65-year-old Moultrie lawmaker told cheering supporters. “Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”
O, and please point me to where she campaigned for Anh "Joseph" Cao, allowing him to do what Bob Namer, Art Schwertz, Mike Foster, Silky Sullivan, Joe Lavigne, Karen Carter Peterson, Derrick Shepherd, Troy Carter, James Carter, Cedric Richmond, Byron Lee, Kenya Smith, Irma Muse Dixon, Helena Moreno, David Reed, Don-Terry Veal, and others couldn't (through multiple scandals).

There are many factors at play...while I am sure Gov. Palin brought out many voters and is not to be discounted, that doesn't mean she couldn't use some improvement for the future.

Okay, so you're confusing other posters with me. Thanks for explaining what appeared as inanity.

Though even your response there isn't correct. Nobody said she "can't run"; they implied that to run effectively, she should improve.

Again, it's been proved over and over again, that Gov Palin reads plenty of magazines and newspapers.

And yet can't cite a single one. It doesn't matter if she reads them if the impression she gives the electorate is that she doesn't.

She's a smart woman. She needs, however, to increase her at-hand knowledge base, and improve her breadth of knowledge. She's flipped and flopped between "I'm just a PTA mom" to "I'm worldly, you know"...and she can't pull that off very well if she can't handle the second one with finesse.

I cancalled my subscriptions to these brain dead publicans long ago, and have been a heck of a lot better informed since then.

Then I suggest you start acting like that.

Now I see why Gov. Palin coming across as stupid and ignorant doesn't bother you.

It's funny that you should throw insults at me and imply I hang out with the loons at Kos, when you are the one who is recommending the same head-in-the-sand optimism-at-all-costs strategy that has lost us the last few elections. I, for one, won't keep silent about it anymore (see my tagline), as I don't want to conservatism to keep going down the road of blind oblivion.

No, I am not.
I refer you to your post # 82, this is what you had to say then, and I quote:
“Did anyone say she couldn't run? Please show me where”

Emphasis mine on "anyone". Accordingly, I refereed you to exactly someone had said she couldn't run in 2012, but the same individual suggested that other Freepers backing her should quit at backing her at once.(post # 6).

And yet can't cite a single one”

Oh yes I can.
Everyone here remembers when Gov Palin protested against the McCain withdrawal from Michigan. If you don't, I will give you the quotes, and the link, right here on this site. Quotes:

Palin told FOX News on Friday that she reads the same newspapers and magazines as everyone else, “including The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal and The Economist.”

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2096789/posts

So here we have Gov Palin herself giving a list of top flight newspapers that she regularly reads like the New York Times, Wall Street Journal etc, like most politicians do.
Yet that didn't stop you from lying through the teeth, and smearing her in your post # 82, you claimed that Gov Palin, and I quote you:

“woman who can't even list a single newspaper or magazine she reads,”

That is Daily Kos type smears, lies and disinformation. You might get away with it there. Over here, you won't.
