There is a proposal by the congressman from Tyler, TX, that would give Americans a break from federal income and social security taxes for the first two months of 2009.
Of course, I support any tax cut. However, there are a few things to think about here:
1. If two months without income taxes is a good thing, then why not 3 months, or 6 months, or a whole year...get the picture?
2. Cutting the SSI contributions for 2 months will accelerate the insolvency of the social security "entitlement". Although I am for the dismantling of this welfare program, I think that care needs to be taken so as not to lead to a crash of the system for the elderly that depend on it.
3. The liberals will oppose, obviously, because the tax breaks would take the money away from their corrupt buddies in corporate America and leave it in the capable hands of the people. Also, they know that if Americans get a taste of how much they would take home without federal taxes, there will be plenty of folks out there that will finally figure out how much the government takes from them.
IOW, you have no information on the subject at hand. It ain't "appeal to authority" when I am the authority.
Run along little boy. We grown ups have much to discuss.
BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA
“It ain’t ‘appeal to authority’ when I am the authority.”
BQWAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Can’t get much more appeal to authority than that.
Funny the guy using nothing but insults telling somebody else to move along. You’re just plain all around funny.
I’m saying that congress wont get it passed fast enough for it to be sent out in time for January...but what happened to needing a year or it not being possible at all with some systems?
That’s the other guy. I say 3 months, that’s the time frame they generally get.
We are all still waiting for you to answer the question that proves you know anything about payroll systems.
It is an easy question: How would you handle after-tax MOAs? And how would you deal with retroactivity with a zero tax rate base?
I mean, a child of 4 who has spent 5 minutes with a real ERP can answer this.
Why can’t you?
Maybe because — YOU DON’T KNOW????
You are wrong. I love it when children try to tell grown ups how to do their job.
Wow are you boring.
FACTS, LOGIC: DO YOU HAVE ANY?
Still waiting for an answer to my very simple questions to prove you know enough to have an opinion on the subject.
To make it fair, you can ask me anything on your area of "expertise" (HAHAHA) in IT. Any area of ERP is in bounds.
Before you opine you should have knowledge in the area. We all await your answer to my very simple question, which is on point.
Let me help you: If someone says they are a math expert, he/she should be able to answer the question "what is 1+1?" You have supplied an opinion on what would be required to zero out the tax. I, and the handful of readers of this thread, ask you: On what basis do you supply this opinion?
The question is very easy. Just answer it.
facts: Home brew systems are difficult to maintain and frequently assume a divisor in the tax calculations. Logic: I have personally worked with both OTS and home brew systems for over 30 years. Longer than you have been on the planet. I await the answer to my simple question. Or just admit you have no knowledge in this area (and go back to the childrens' table).
I am waiting for your answer. You pretend to have knowledge of the subject at hand.
Prove it.
And you have implemented how many payroll systems?
Yeah spring would work. But of course it’ll never get through Congress. “Tax holiday” is heretical to modern Democrats. How far they’ve fallen.
And you can ask me anything about ERPs.
I mean as a “QA” (hahahahaha — that still cracks me up) guy who has supposedly written software, I am sure you can toss a simple poser to prove I am faking it.
Ask me anything.
I agree. Also, in my initial post I pointed out that the last thing they would want is for hard working Americans to realize just how much more they would take home if the fed wasn’t taking so much every week.
