I just want to share my memories of the Sarah Palin rally today in Kissimmee, Florida. My mom and dad and I left Daytona Beach today around 9AM and made our way to the event, where we were joined by my friend Olga. The weather was beautiful outside while we waited to get int, and we could not have enjoyed ourselves more. It was the most worthwhile experience possible.
Here are my pictures:
The Ticket:
The Venue - the Silver Spurs Rodeo Arena in Kissimmee, FL:
Always good to see the old girl flying high:
And also good to see the young girls raised right:
Just one of many "Joes" that were there:
RightFighterDad and RightFighterMom before the event:
Perhaps not your "typical" McCain/Palin supporter. You'll see her again:
This one's a cutie:
More Joes:
This woman was cheered loudly wherever she went in the arena. Read her sign:
I told you you'd see this girl again. She sat on the platform behind the candidate:
One of Sarah Palin's biggest fans. This girl caught Sarah's eye, and Sarah not only blew her a kiss from the podium. She also stopped and talked to this girl and her family for probably five minutes once the event had ended:
I wasn't sure if this baby was special needs or not, but when Sarah was working the crowd after she spoke, she reached over and took this baby and held him for a minute. It was very sweet:
The firefighter honor guard. Check out the cool axes:
Some of the crowd:
RightFighterDad and RightFighterMom during the event:
My friend Olga - a Russian immigrant and huge McCain/Palin supporter:
Notice how loosely his jacket fits. I told Olga that I was sure he had an automatic weapon under the jacket:
Senator Mel Martinez:
Florida Governor Charlie Crist:
Sean Hannity was well received:
Sarah enters the venue:
She was given a warm reception, to say the least:
Elisabeth Hasselbeck is beautiful, and she did a great job introducing Sarah:
Pretty in Pink - Sarah wowed the crowd:
More Sarah:
More Elisabeth:
The future second (and one day first) couple:
One more of Elisabeth:
Sarah thanks Elisabeth for the introduction:
Sarah on the stump:
More of Elisabeth as she watched Sarah:
I think the other side of this sign said "Fred the Filmmaker". Sarah read it to the crowd, and then when she saw this "Union Member" text, she told the guy he should watch out, he might be about to get the same treatment Joe the Plumber did. She apologized to him for making him famous:
She read this sign to us too:
This man loves his wife and it shows in the way he looks at her:
Sarah leaves the stage to work the crowd:
Autographs - Todd Palin (left) and Sarah Palin (right):
Sarah and Todd right after RightFighter's placard was autographed:
What a beautiful couple:
The world's most gorgeous (and promising) politician:
At this point, Olga yelled out "I love Todd", which was funny because RightFighter's name is Todd. I yelled "Todd - you rock!", and he turned and looked at me and said "YOU rock, man."
Sean Hannity interviews Elisabeth Hasselbeck:
Sean Hannity works the crowd:
Barack Obama attended the event. Who knew?
Just before Sarah left the venue:
RightFighter and Olga after the event. Notice the shirts - they are my design which I sell in my store at www.isupportsarah.com:
I saw no protesters at this event - only Democrats for McCain:
I think it’s time for real conservatives to leave the “lost cause” states where no Republican ever has a chance and start repopulating Virginia, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and other states that are either teetering on the brink of turning blue or could possibly turn back to red with a little help.
I certainly hope no one would say a thing about a vanity post with such wonderful pics of Sarah and her event.
The best I've seen so far. Great job. Thanks.
that was great
those are brave black folks...especially this year
VERY nice!!!! Thanks so much for sharing this with us!!!
YOU HAVE MADE MY DAY!! THANKS SO MUCH!!
Great photos! Thank you!
Awesome pictures. Thank you for sharing.
She also said on TV this morning that she bought the wedding ring herself for $35 and it’s lasted 20 years!!!!LOL
Thanks so much for sharing your photos—from a McCain-Palin
supporter in Eastern Washington.
We all were surprised when Sean Hannity showed up, and the crowd went wild! He did interviews with supporters along the rope line, and then left. I will be sure to catch Sean's radio program and TV show tomorrow to see if he highlights the events in Tampa and Kissimmee.
I know what you mean about being in line and meeting such wonderful folks who think like we do! A lovely lady was sitting next to me and we became instant friends, and are keeping in touch through email. It is always a lift when we meet folks who believe in God, Family, Country!
My hubby and I have attended four events now, and they will be among our very best memories! I believe we will win on November 4th, and as we celebrate that evening we will know our supporting McCain/Palin was exactly what God wanted us to do! GO MCCAIN/PALIN!
Well stated BayNative
Great photos! I saw Sarah tonight in Asheville! It was great seeing so many conservatives! It was also a blast watching the befuddled looks on the faces of the hippies in Haight-Ashevillebury. One military veteran really had them on the defensive out in the plaze between the Civic Center and the Battery Park Hotel. About two dozen of the dope smoking punks were out there protesting. I’ll bet they’ve never worked a day in their lives!
Very interesting blog! I look forward to your post about the interview with Mrs. Rothschild.
Great pics—thanks for sharing.
Fantastic pictures! Thanks so much for posting them. Freeper Mcmuffin and I were there, too, standing along the rail where your pictures show Sarah and Todd coming down off the stage and signing autographs. I got to shake both of their hands and she autographed my sign. I tried to get his autograph, too, but there were so many people scrambling for autographs at the same time, that there just wasn’t time.
What a great day! Whoo Hoo!!!
Did you happen to see the bi-plane in the sky writing, “Florida is Palin Country”?? Loved it!
Hey,
I was at the Palin rally in Kissimmee on Saturday, too. As a matter of fact, and also a suprise to me, I am the guy in your last picture holding the “Dems 4 McCain” sign. I had just met the other people who are standing with me at the end of Palin’s rally as I was leaving the building. The lady next to me with the “Hillary voter for Clinton” sign loaned me the sign that I was holding. I had talked them into standing on the side of the road after the rally. Initially, we went there because earlier, there were some Obama supporters across the street (at the corner) and I said that we should confront them. Once we got on the street, though, the Obama supporters had already left, so we decided to hold up the signs for you all.
I just happened to do a search on the rally after I got home, and came across your blog. Thanks for taking the picture. I now have a picture for posterity’s sake! I blog at www.bitterpoliticz.com as nomobama and on ocassionally on NoQuarterusa.net as JM or JM (nomobama). Both sites are anti-Obama.
There are Democrats (my guess is many) who WILL NOT vote for the fraud that is Obama. John McCain will win this election if people get out there in vote!
Someone else reported that Our Sarah said something about media bias, and the crowd turned toward the media gaggle, pointed, and chanted “You! You! You!”, and some of them scurried away.
I didn’t see that in a Channel 6 (Orlando) video I watched...though there was an odd cut about halfway through.
Did you see that?
Or was it perhaps at an earlier event elsewhere?
I would really have liked to see that.
