Ha. I’m sure. My post was just to do some really obvious Ericsonian language. Not the most deft of elegant example, but there are a few patterns there.

“Divide and conquer” that sounds like my husbands mother. She has been dead for 30 years and did not really impact our children that much. Thank God!

I did as you say, “walk away”. She and I had some good times together, she could be charming and generous. when she wasn’t dividing and conquering. She had been dead a year before I could grieve a little bit for the good times. I remember at the time of her death I felt nothing.

I think he said he was so awesome, but he preceded it by cracking a joke about his humility so I disregarded it as a joke. It was like he was poking fun at his own ego. Besides somebody else wrote his jokes. He was just reading them.

That's the point, people who hypnotize say something on the surface but the message is subliminal. The real message is in their body language, their cadence etc., it co insides with what they are saying on the surface. It is "embedded". It has to with learning, understanding and then exploiting the way the brain is hardwired to except and process information. It is a science.

As for saying he was just reading what his handlers had written for him, his handlers would have to be involved. He obviously has been handled since who knows when, possibly since he was a child.

..GWB, whom I really like

I like President Bush too, except that he allowed Rice to push Israel to give up her land to terrorist. He did many great things but spiritually that was his downfall. He has done many unsung things that have made this country stronger and the world a better place. It is too bad that the media has done such a job at humiliating and demeaning him and his Presidency. Hopefully history will see it differently. The war is Iraq will if not botched by Obama (hopefully he won't have a chance) be a strategic victory for the United States and the world's peace.

As it is right now it is taboo to mention him and his Republican accomplishments because the press has made the Republicans feel that they had to far distance themselves from him. This, I think, was a mistake from the beginning.

As far as our Country having trouble we all know that the Democrats in Congress were responsible for our economic crisis. They took bribes and kickbacks repeatedly protecting Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac from being reigned in by Republicans including President Bush and Senator John McCain. For years the Democrats have kept our Country from being able to tap into and produce many sources of greatly needed energy supply. This is a major economic and security issue for our Country. It has vastly weakened us. When you think of all that President Bush has brought us through it is daunting. Many things threatened to be the downfall of our Country that were not in his control such as 9/11, many destructive hurricanes including Katrina (which he had to plead with the Democrats in control of Louisiana to finally take necessary action late and evacuate people), fires, floods, economic woes and a necessary war against suicidal maniacs.

The liberals are so utterly ridiculous concerning war. They treat war as though it is solved in a day or it is failed. Can you imagine if we fought WWI or II that way or for that matter the Revolutionary War or the Civil War? We would be Nazis right now as past citizens of the Queen and blacks would still be slaves. They act like if they were in charge it would have been done perfectly with no bloodshed in a day. They are so divorced from reality especially when it suits there advancement. Any body knows that major battles are lost in any war and strategy about how to cope with a diverse enemy is learned as you go. The American people have to be hypnotized in order to not have the common sense to understand the smallest thing about reality of war. What would our forefathers have thought of us. It is a shame to think of it.

I believe the Iraq war is strategic for the USA. It has allowed us to have a huge footprint in an area of the world of our sworn enemies. If we decide it is necessary to do battle with Iran and/or Afghanistan we have a base to operate out of. We should not of tried to conquer or clean up more than one terrorist country at a time. The war in Iraq brought the terrorist to the land of Iraq and has kept them out of ours. Iraq is destined to become a prosperous democracy. Other countries in the area are bound to follow. That is if things are not completely botched by the likes of an Obama.

Folks, I’m a little disappointed in many of the reactions I see here.

If you won’t read the actual material, it’s hard for us to discuss the techniques involved or to determine among ourselves to what extent, if any, they are being used by Obama. Informed decisions could then be made as to whether you might want to teach your children about this stuff, so that they are able to spot it being used by pickup artists, salesmen, lawyers or politicians in the future.

I would have preferred for us to examine and discuss the use of pacing and leading, deep structure vs surface structure, linking statements, extra slow speech, rhythm, tonalities, vagueness, visual imagery, metaphor, raising of emotion, stacking of hypnotic language patterns, and control and command gestures as used in Obama’s speeches or other famous historical political speeches. It just might be that this was what Obama was learning during his years that we know so little about.

Like many of you, I went into this thinking oh boy, “tin foil hat time”, but the deeper I went, the more it seems to explain. It’s long, and the first 16 pages are kind of promo without proof, but I encourage each of you to study the whole thing and then decide for yourselves whether or not you are completely unconvinced. If nothing else, when you are done, you will have a good idea about how Eriksonian hypnosis works.

I have now read the entire document and I have followed a great many of the footnotes and references included in the PDF as well. Google was also my friend.

Although the author is way more than a little passionate about what he thinks about Obama and his alleged use of these techniques, he goes on to back it up with known science and thorough in context analysis accompanied by copious footnotes and references to published works on the subjects.

The techniques he claims Obama is using are identified, explained and demonstrated in detailed context. They are accepted by the experts in the field as especially powerful and effective among the young, but also among many who do a lot of reading. (think students, journalists, academicians...)

He also shows why this is much more effective in long speeches than it is in debates, short conversations or town hall situations. 30 minute CBS final TV campaign time slot, anyone? Spotting these techniques in use during his show might even make a good drinking game... ;-)

The author seems to make a disturbingly solid case that Obama is not just a charismatic orator, not even just a dabbler in these methods, but an accomplished practitioner of the art of covert / conversational / Eriksonian hypnosis.

As the media guru Marshall McLuhan is reported to have said, “Only the small secrets need to be protected. The big ones are kept secret by public incredulity.”

Thank you.

I am not one for starting threads, even as long as I have been here.

The only threads I *have* started involved a few breaking news stories, calls for warm bodies for a Veteran’s home benefit ride and a large scale dog rescue.

I abhor the “tinfoil hat” crowd.

I’m not known for frivilous postings unless it’s a comical thread.

I read the whole thing, pondered its import and decided to take a chance that somebody here would actually take the time to examine the possibility.

My thanks to those who did.

After I read the PDF, I performed some web searching for clues as to who writes Obama’s speeches. It’s a wade through propaganda in itself - you can see the ‘narrative’ begin from the first line of the first article - the impression that his highness doesn’t NEED a speech writer because everything he touches turns to gold...but alas there’s only 48 hours in one day so he brought someone in etc.
I read up on his speech writers (3 of them - two are in their 20’s and the last is an elderly gentlemen who wrote speeches for Kennedy). And then - I read the Illinois speech he wrote BEFORE he aquired those speech writers. I skpped to the bottom of the speech and, because I went through the PDF, I recognized the pattern described by the thread author. I’ll include them below but the point I wanted to make was - Obama was already adept at hypnotic technique before he won the primary. I was wondering if he had someone brought in etc. or loaned to him. No - thus far it looks like the messiah himself is the master. Someone upthread wondered aloud if THIS is where Obama’s lost years were spent - perfeting the craft. Here are the para’s :

“In the end, that is God’s greatest gift to us, the bedrock of this nation; the belief in things not seen; the belief that there are better days ahead. I believe we can give our middle class relief and provide working families with a road to opportunity. I believe we can provide jobs to the jobless, homes to the homeless, and reclaim young people in cities across America from violence and despair. I believe that as we stand on the crossroads of history, we can make the right choices, and meet the challenges that face us. America!
Tonight, if you feel the same energy I do, the same urgency I do, the same passion I do, the same hopefulness I do — if we do what we must do, then I have no doubt that all across the country, from Florida to Oregon, from Washington to Maine, the people will rise up in November, and John Kerry will be sworn in as president, and John Edwards will be sworn in as vice president, and this country will reclaim its promise, and out of this long political darkness a brighter day will come. Thank you and God bless you.”

PS: In the post immediately above I mentioned that one of Obama’s writers originally wrote for Kennedy. That gentleman is pleased to be working with the other two speech writers and supports Obama’s candidacy. In a moment of rare candor in the interview - this elderly Kennedy era speech writer can’t understand how Obama rose so fast. He pulls save at the end but I feel he just couldn’t stop himself from wondering aloud HOW someone of Obama’s non-existant accomplishments could ‘arrive’. Here’s the quote from the article:
“Still, Riley struggles to understand how Obama has catapulted himself to the national stage.
In 2004, when Obama gave the convention speech, Riley was overseas and missed what he called the candidate’s “coming out party.”
“It’s been difficult for me to grasp how he managed to do what he has done,” said Riley. “But the power of his rhetoric has largely captured people’s attentions — that’s not an uncommon occurrence in politics, going back to the Greeks.” ‘

Whoa....My head started to spin just reading that. It is definitely meant to work as hypnosis. Obama seems to be the master. The question is who did he spend those years with? Also, you can buy courses in how to use mass hypnosis on the internet. It is possible that he taught himself but I think probably not. It has been said that Hitler taught himself from a book out of France (can't remember the name of it right now). Obama may even have been raised and groomed from his youth for politics. It is said that Communist do groom some from their childhood to fill certain roles.

Also, the older man who wrote for Kennedy isn't necessarily out of the question. I'd have to go back and view Kennedy. I remember people saying that Nixon won the debate over the radio but Kennedy beat him completely on the TV. We don't know how long some Democrats have been dallying in this stuff or to what extent. Remember how many people were so taken with Kennedy? I am not saying that I think Kennedy did thought control but it is possible that he dallied with it.

I believe Hillary Clinton uses it to some degree. See if you can find a speech by her on youtube. I have always been bothered by her speaking pattern. I think other Dems may use it to varying degrees. Some of them may just be imitating Hillary. Did Bill Clinton use it at all? People always say he was such a great speaker but I never bought it.

Republicans wouldn't even think about doing such a thing. It makes us easy to be fooled by those who will do anything for power. The thing about it is that many people would label it too kookie to consider and thereby something like mass hypnosis could flourish. I cannot understand the thinking of people who don't think a Hitler or someone like him could happen here in America. Everybody is basically decent, they think. That would be a nice world but it's not the one we are living in. If bad people can get away with something like mass hypnosis you can be sure that kind of power will corrupt them all the more.

Wow. I read the article, and it has really made me think about all of Obama’s so-called “gaffes.”

Perhaps they are NOT GAFFES at all. Perhaps it’s all intentional, and meant to subconciously influence peoples’ thinking:

- 57 states (i.e. 57 Islamic States)
- “My Muslim faith”
- “I am President” rather than “Presidential Candidate”
- Biden introduced as President rather than VP (as author notes, to make people feel as if Biden, who is less risky, would be running things)

There are countless other examples.

I encourage everyone to stop and imagine that none of these “blunders” are blunders at all, and redefine Obama in the context of these statements all being fully intentional.

EVEN the “Spread the Wealth Around” comment.

Perhaps he’s just subconciously preparing everyone for all that he will do, in order to smooth his path and make the sheeple more accepting.

And I too am one of those who have felt actual physical revulsion at the sight or sound of him, to the point that I will do anything in my power to not listen to him or watch him. Maybe that’s the Holy Spirit speaking.

A poster on the Hillaryclintonforum.net (PUMA site) who is familiar talked about making a video to address what is being done and how to “break the spell”. From what he/she posted in their post it seems the key is to get these people to think rationally. Have you ever noticed how when one of these Obots call talk radio they can only rely on talking points and repeating things that Obama says? They never can articulate and give a reason for why they agree with him. I’d have more respect for the Obama supporter who says “I support socialism and I support Obama” than the “He can bring change. He’s what this country needs. He will restore our reputation with Europe”. That’s why this 30 minute informercial that he is doing is so dangerous. Not sure if I believe the programming is this deep but some have said that even people who want to go in and vote for McCain may not be able to and will “CHANGE” their vote and not realize it.
