Unreal... New 8th Grade English Textbooks Now Contain 15 Page Section on Obama!

This is getting really freaky. Dear Leader gets 15 page spread in 2008 children's textbooks. This isn't teaching, it's indoctrination!

The hard Left is already pumping out massive Obama indoctrination material in 8th grade textbooks.

Maybe this was part of the Bill Ayers education plan? 8th grade students in Racine, Wisconsin are now using textbooks that contain a 15 page section on Barack Obama. Note: No Hillary, No McCain, No Palin, No Bush... Just Obama!

The textbook was chosen from 6 different publishers because it is based on Instructional Process and Understanding by Design pedagogy.

This is how things like this happen. Someone (dare I say an Obama supporter?) creates a detailed and restrictive "standard". Then one publishing company (dare I say controlled by an Obama supporter?) fully meets that standard, so the book gets chosen (MUST be chosen) regardless of the actual content. The school buying authority (dare I say an Obama supporter as well?) has plausible deniability to the public because they are only buying the book that happens to fully meet the standard as defined.

This is absolute insanity! My HS HISTORY books didn’t even contain sections on the Vietnam War because it was too soon afterwards (this was in the mid-late 80s). And, now - before the man has even been properly vetted, before he accomplishes ANYTHING (besides brainwashing people) he is featured in a TEXTBOOK? And, in English class no less where there will be no discussion of political policies or the like. Absolute and total propaganda.

I’m glad we made our decision to Homeschool over a decade ago. I can’t imagine how different my children would be today had I went along with the indoctrination in our public schools.

Been there, done that - except in the 80s it wasn’t as bad as it is now. Independent thinkers have always found problems such as this - the thing is now it’s becoming VERY commonplace (at least as far as I can tell). Instead of being isolated incidents we are hearing of this happening in a LOT of schools in various places.

Back when it happened to me there were no adults that took me seriously when I tried to tell them WHY I was getting bad grades (and it wasn’t for lack of studying, or goofing off, or not paying attention, or being rude). I’m glad at least people are realizing that sometimes kids are telling the truth about certain teachers like this... I hope she is able to avoid this teacher in the future, but I suspect he’s not the only one, and now she will be “known”.

McDougal Littell Literature book -Wisconsin edition.

I have complained about textbooks and actually joined DAR with the sole purpose of fighting for actual history in history books. (Have gotten no where with that one.) I was told that California and Florida control the textbook market because they are the largest student states. CALIFORNIA of all places!

They have completely infiltrated the colleges. Why are we surprised about the middle school textbooks? Honestly! Nothing surprises me, anymore. Did someone mention anti-christ/end times?

Youch! The Georgia edition has the same section! Good grief! My daughter uses the 7th grade edition of that book. I hope we do not use the 8th grade at our school. I am emailing our middle school principal (republican) right now!

This is amazing. Textbooks have an entire section on the Democrat candidate for President and no one else. Children get indoctrinated with pure propaganda. How many pages are there for George Washington? Yet school libraries shelves, let alone textbooks, cannot even contain conservative Christian writings because they are "biased," among other reasons.
