Shocking CNN Expose of the Obama/Ayers Connection

Cross posted from Glenn Beck.com

A note from Radarsite: Could it be that this is really the light at the end of this long dark tunnel of lies of the nefarious Obama campaign? It certainly is a shocking and unexpected development. To have this kind of unquestionably negative expose coming from CNN -- of all places -- is definitely a sign that there is still hope out there that the American people can finally accept the fact that Obama is what we have been saying he is for all these months. Is it too little too late? I hope and pray that it isn't. - rg --------------------------------------------------------- From the Glenn Beck Show: 9 October 2008 Glenn Beck: CNN report on Ayers

GLENN: I want to play a piece from CNN. This is not Fox. This is CNN. This isn't CNN Headline News. This is CNN. Believe me, I know how difficult it is to get something on the air at CNN. To get something on the air at CNN that is critical of Barack Obama, not really the easiest thing. There are not people clamoring to get that on the air. They check everything six ways to Sunday. Believe me, I know. I have to play this report from Anderson Cooper. Remember, this is not some right wing kook. This is not Fox. This is Anderson Cooper on CNN. Listen to this report on the "No connections between William Ayers and Barack Obama."

COOPER: Bill Ayers and his wife Bernardine Dohrn in the 1960s and Seventies were radicals, members of the Weather Underground, an anti-Vietnam War group that bombed federal buildings including the U.S. capitol and the Pentagon. On the run for years, the case against them was thrown out due to illegal wire taps and prosecutor misconduct. Ayers has never repented and has said as late as 2001 he wished he had done more to stop the war. Barack Obama confirmed during a primary debate that he knew Ayers and, when pressed, said they served on a charitable foundation board together.

GLENN: Listen to this.

COOPER: Obama condemned Ayers support of violence. But the relationship between Obama and Ayers went much deeper, ran much longer and was much more political than Obama said.

GLENN: Stop, stop. Just stop there. But it gets worse, again. How many times have you heard people say, "Oh, it's the Clinton News Network, it's the Communist News Network." Yeah, sure. Again, the report from CNN on the connection between Ayers and Obama.

VOICE: Arguing is that somehow the fact that these people who served both educational reformers in Chicago, both of whom did have their paths cross professionally as well as neighbors occasionally, that somehow this association is a problem for Barack Obama because of Bill Ayers' past and things that happened in the 1960s when Barack Obama was 7 years old. And that's just wrong. And frankly it's quite unfair.

COOPER: One place their paths repeatedly crossed according to a CNN review of board minutes and other records was Chicago's Annenberg Challenge project where a $50 million grant from the Annenberg Foundation matched locally funds to schools. According to participants and project records, Bill Ayers fought to bring the Annenberg grant to Chicago. Barack Obama was recruited as its chair. For seven years Bill Ayers and Obama, among many others, worked on funding for education projects including some experiments supported by Ayers.

GLENN: Listen to this.

COOPER: Stanley Kurtz, a conservative researcher for the Ethics and Public Policy Center who has been reviewing the recently --

GLENN: This is the guy that Obama has tried to silence, now on CNN.

KURTZ: Instead of giving money directly to schools, they gave money to what they called external partners and these partners were often radical community organizer groups.

COOPER: And the board gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to Bill Ayers' small schools project, promoting alternative education, the peace school with a curriculum centered around a United Nations theme.

GLENN: Oh.

COOPER: And another school where the focus was African-American studies.

GLENN: Oh.

VOICE: And this was directly funded by Annenberg?

KURTZ: Oh, yes, under Obama's chairmanship. Oh, yes, in a specific draw of the board of --

GLENN: Stop. This doesn't bother anyone? This, I know this bothers you. This doesn't? How do you dismiss? He was a chairman of the board that did experimental schools with a guy who says you shouldn't discipline children, that quote: Children should rise up and kill their parents. Okay? He's never corrected that. Never stood down from that. He's on the board with that man doing experimental schools, and one of them is a school based on the United Nations? And somehow or another we're just supposed to dismiss all of this. That, "It doesn't really matter, oh, he's not like that, oh, he didn't know." This guy is a full-fledged fascist in the wings. Now, that's not to say that he's going to become a fascist. This is the closest that we have ever come to having one. No, I take that back. We actually had one. His name was Woodrow Wilson. This guy actually put hundreds of thousands of people in jail for speaking out against him, the government or World War I. This guy developed a system through the Department of Justice where if you heard anyone speak out against the war, you heard anyone speak out against our country, you were to call the Department of Justice, your name would be withheld and the person you heard speaking out would go to prison! So we've had a fascist before. So if anybody tells you we can't have one again, don't listen to them. We've had one before, and this one is coming with a neon sign. This one's coming with his own little militant children following behind him. This one's coming with the Hitler youth in tow. How many times did we say in 1992, "Guys, I think this guy has a sex problem." No, no, no. Now, I was willing to dismiss it after he was on 60 Minutes and say, you know what, we all have problems. I get it, we all have problems. He admitted it, we have problems, we've worked on it in our relationship, we don't have a perfect relationship; we're working on it. Great. But then woman after woman after woman, and everybody started to deny. Everybody was like, no, come on, they're just making that up; they're just doing that. Well, we ended up having a problem on the bathroom floor of the White House. Who's going to be on the bathroom floor in the next administration? Karl Marx? Although he would look pretty hot in a tight blue cocktail dress.

My hunch is enough old school libs even begin to see the light and question this clown, who somehow didn’t know he attended a hate-filled racist church for TWENTY YEARS.

The Clinton’s will drop a bomb IMO.

McCain would do well to hammer away at Wright, Ayers, Odinga, Farrakhan, ACORN, Michelle saying she was never proud of this country, bambi saying US troops air raided civilians...

the more bambi is talking about Ayers, every single day if necessary, the better.

The media failed to do their job so keep up the pressure until he cracks!

Anyway, people are just concerned our candidate refuses to fight. We are up against a liar, a socialist, a lover of terrorists and we aren’t trying to win.
***McCain isn’t a fighter by nature. He’s a middle-of-the-road accommodater. That’s why there’s always this terrible risk that he’ll put the gloves back on, which is probably what he will do anyways. It’s in his nature. As soon as he does that, he loses the race.

He came out of the convention pumped up and fighting, but soon reverted to his old ways of reaching across the aisle in that financial crisis. As soon as he took the gloves off, his poll numbers started to plummet. It’s almost like Moses holding up his arms while the troops fight. So what, that he needs to get someone else to prop up his arms? Keep up the fight, whatever it takes.

***I think your hunch is not well placed. 60% of Americans self-identify as conservative. Only 6% of journalists do.

The Clinton’s will drop a bomb IMO.
***That’s an old paradigm, the unbeatable Clintons. They got their butts handed to them by Obama. There is no bomb to drop.

McCain would do well to hammer away at Wright, Ayers, Odinga, Farrakhan, ACORN, Michelle saying she was never proud of this country, bambi saying US troops air raided civilians...
***Yes. And have Palin hold daily press conferences, each one detailing a new scandal until the election. All she needs to do is read some thread from Free Republic. 95% of it is better substantiated than the garbage that the media came up with against her, and she can hold their feet to the fire as a result.

the more bambi is talking about Ayers, every single day if necessary, the better.

***Yes, I agree. For the next 30 days, alternating press conferences. One from McCain, one from Palin. A scandal a day keeps the Messiah away.

The media failed to do their job so keep up the pressure until he cracks!
***That is no longer their job. It’s ours. The material is all here, but the RNC has not availed themselves of it. Either they do so, NOW, or they face the formation of a splintered conservative party like the FALCONS, starting November 5.

I saw Anderson say that. I almost fell off of my chair. LOL I don't watch him but I was tired of listening to O'Reilly so I switched to see what CNN had on and I did just in time to hear Anderson. I looked out the window to see if the pigs were flying by. :o)

COOPER: And the board gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to Bill Ayers' small schools project, promoting alternative education, the peace school with a curriculum centered around a United Nations theme.

Of course he didn't mention that the "Small Schools Workshop" was headed by Ayers' SDS comrade, Michael Klonsky.

[Obama] is named Chairman of the Board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge founded by Bill Ayers
(article typo has Ayers instead of Obama)

In late 1993, Bill Ayers, now an associate professor of education at the University of Illinois Chicago Circle Campus, organized a team to put together a grant proposal to secure nearly $50 million from the Annenberg Challenge. The money was to be used by Ayers and co. to bolster the radical Local School Councils reform project that Ayers and Obama had championed back in 1988 through the ABCs.

The grant application was successful and in early 1995 Barack Obama was named chairman of the board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. Ayers was named co-chair of the Challenge’s operative and strategic body, the Chicago School Reform Collaborative. Ayers and Obama work together for the next five years on raising an additional $60 million in matching money from local foundations and corporations and using the money to intervene in the governance of the Chicago public schools.

The Challenge through a multi-million dollar Leadership Development Initiative intervened in the School Council elections in the middle of what was known as the Chicago School Wars. At the same time Chicago Mayor Richard Daley was pushing, successfully, to gut the power of the Councils.

"The Small Schools Workshop was founded in 1991 at the University of Illinois at Chicago to provide support for teachers who were trying to create new smaller learning environments. Its director is Michael Klonsky, a former professor of education at UIC."

Some background on Bill Ayers' SDS comrade, Michael Klonsky
(Chicago Annenberg Challenge-related)

"One of Bill Ayers’ and Bernardine Dohrn’s comrades in the late 60s Students for a Democratic Society was Mike Klonsky. When Dohrn and Ayers moved in one direction toward the violent tactics of the Weather Underground, Klonsky, in the wake of the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia, dropped the pro-Russian communist politics of his parents and became a committed Maoist. As leader of the Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) in 1977 [not to be confused with Communist Party USA. CPML no longer exists, CPUSA formed decades earlier and is still around-ETL], he travelled to Beijing and was toasted by the senior Beijing leadership.

When the crazy left of the 70s died in the 80s, Klonsky went to graduate school in education in Florida and then moved to Chicago.

While driving a cab there he [Michael Klonsky] was recruited by his old friend Bill Ayers to head up a new project called the Small Schools Workshop in 1991. It’s offices were in the Department of Education building at the University of Illinois Chicago Circle Campus where Ayers taught.

In 1995 the newly formed Chicago Annenberg Challenge headed by Ayers and Obama gave the Workshop a grant of $175,000.

The Annenberg Challenge also had its office space in the same building as Ayers Department and the Workshop, rent free courtesy of the University.

In 2008 Klonsky ran a blog on the official Obama campaign website on education policy and “social justice” teaching. When discussion of the Klonsky blog emerged in the blogosphere, it was promptly shut down by the campaign and all of the posts made by Klonsky were removed from the site."

________________________________________________________

In 1977, the October League was reorganized as the Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) [again, not Communist Party USA (CPUSA) -ETL] and former SDS activist Michael Klonsky became party chairman. Also in 1977, Klonsky traveled to China and the CPML was recognized by the Chinese Communist Party as its official sister party in America.

(snip)

In January 1981, Michael Klonsky resigned as party chairman, and the CPML disbanded that same year.

The previous Red Encyclopedia description of the CPML was incorrectly combined with that of the Communist Party USA (Marxist-Leninist).

From Investor's Business Daily (IBD), August 27, 2008:

"Ayers, now a tenured distinguished professor of education at UIC, works to educate teachers in socialist revolutionary ideology, urging that it be passed on to impressionable students.

One of Ayer's descriptions for a course called 'Improving Learning Environments' says prospective K-12 teachers need to 'be aware of the social and moral universe we inhabit and ... be a teacher capable of hope and struggle, outrage and action, teaching for social justice and liberation.

The Annenberg papers are quite extensive — 132 boxes containing 947 file folders with 70 linear feet of material. They undoubtedly contain more surprises regarding Obama's relationship with Ayers, one of many relationships Obama has sought to hide.'..."

Bill Ayers TODAY (April 6, 2008), from his own red communist star-headed website, begging to debate communism vs capitalism with Sean Hannity and STILL calling for revolution!

"Imperialism. I’m against it, and if Sean Hannity and others were honest, this is the ground they would fight me on. Capitalism played its role historically and is exhausted as a force for progress: built on exploitation, theft, conquest, war, and racism, capitalism and imperialism must be defeated and a world revolution—a revolution against war and racism and materialism, a revolution based on human solidarity and love, cooperation and the common good —must win.

We begin by releasing our most hopeful dreams and our most radical imaginations: a better world is both possible and necessary.

The Clinton's could never come out in support of McCain, but they can cause problems for Obama in other ways.

nOmama Mohammed Barack is a very teflon resistance person, learning from the Master from Arkansas, nothing sticks!

Nothing of all this matters to the "half" of the nation's cool-aid drinking disciples (sheeples), who through our failed educational system have learned evolution and that all things goes to get power!!

IMHO, the ONLY thing that brings him in handcuff is Phillip J. Berg's lawsuit if our Constitution is going to be followed!!!
