Brit Hume mentioned it during the Political Grapevine segment on Fox News this evening and now found the following from National Review:
Who is Barack Obama? Part II [Peter Kirsanow] Following the links on John Hinderaker's post on Obama's apparent affiliation with the Democratic Socialists of America/New Party leads you to DSA newsletters that make several references to Obama between 19952004. According to the newsletters:
Obama participated in the 1996 Young Democratic Socialists conference. The newsletter praised Obama's speech at the gathering, stating that what Obama had to say was "well within the mainstream" of European socialist theory.
The suggested theme for the 2004 Annual Eugene V. Debs Dinner was Dump Bush and Elect Obama
The Sept.-Oct. 1995 newsletter notes that Barack Obama, chief of staff to state senator Alice Palmer (whom Obama succeeded), urged New Party members to participate in Obama's voter registration drive.
Obama is identified as a member of the New Party. There are photos of Obama with other New Party members also.
John states that the info was scrubbed from the New Party websites this summer and the Obama campaign has denied an affiliation with the organizations. John, however, was able to find archived newsletters at the Internet Archive Organization.

Add in the Ayers and Odinga stuff, and McCain might just pull this off. Riots would not surprise me.
I wonder if the content that was removed from Hussein's church can also be found there.
More evidence of Obambi’s links to the DSA.
We need to email Brit about the lame response the Obama camp gave to this story.
Here’s the text of my e-mail if you want to use it:
In your report, the Obama campaign response is totally misleading, and they should know it.
“A spokesman for the Obama campaign insists his candidate ran as a Democrat in that race...”
Well, OF COURSE. The New Party was a “fusion” party and ran their candidates as Democrats generally.
I can back this assertion up from the New Party’s own web-site:
Quote:
“Most of the local elections in which the New Party is running are non-partisan-so party registration doesn’t matter. In other races, we either run New Party members inside the major-party primary, or cross-endorse the best major-party candidate on our own ballot line.”

I imagine that info is cached and archived.
Guess they knew that normal democratic or republic standards for voting just wouldn't work so they came up with a system that allowed them to piggyback of the party that was the closest to their goals (read Democrats here in the US).
When all else fails, come up with some slick methodology of getting votes that doesn't actually require actual votes.
Hmmm..I am taking an Administrative Law class, we are doing security clearances for our assignment, with what I know about clearances and this stuff about Obambi, I would have to say: CLEARANCE DENIED for Barack Hussein Obama.
EXCELLENT IDEA. I never thought of that. Maybe you’re on to something. How do we go about searching?
That’s right, it MAY be!
But hope too, that they avoid name-calling. For name-calling is what an Alinskyite would wish from an opponent, as Alinsky states in his Rules.
Perhaps better to (have others?) describe Obama's main political philosophy and intent, as Socialism by Stealth, saying one thing, but fully intending the tearing down of Western Capitalism (as was in abundant evidence from Mr. Ayeres), replacing it bit by bit with full on Socialism.
The American people don't like being lied to, Mr. 0bama! Tell us the truth Zero-man, or SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP, you donkey!
Yes, he doesn’t need to call names, just ask good questions like:
“Obama, what was in that contract you signed with the New Party?”
and “Obama, why did the Democratic Socialists of America love your speech so much...please share!”

Thanks for your brilliant idea. I started a new thread asking people if they knew how to search the archives for Trinity church.
Excellent!
Wow...Jeremiah Wright offered car loans. Sweet!

Excellent Columbo! Thanks! Now, who’s gonna do the searching??
