Yesterday we did an article on Time accusing McCain of playing the race card because their ad hit Frank Raines. One of the reasons mentioned was that McCain should've hit Jim Johnson of Fannie Mae instead. Well, McCain just hit Obama for this tie:

These ads are effective but are they enough to get the the message out to the “dumasses”? Will Johnson and/or Raines ever be prosecuted ala Ken Lay?
Goody!
Go for the jugular.
Nice. They are hanging Fannie and Freddie around Obama’s neck.
This ties the ‘corrupt DC’ theme to the current market turmoil to Obama. And lets McCain and Palin clearly claim the position as those bringing real change to DC.
Where is this commercial playing? Here in Indiana all we get is Obama BS.
Perfect. Keep it coming. The MSM will ignore.
Mac needs to hit hard during the debates. ZERO should not benefit from the Wall Street disaster.
I suspect McCain knows Indiana is a lock and isn’t spending money here.
Despite the media polls showing it’s close.
Fortunately, this will come out in the debates. And Obama will have nowhere to hide.
Exactly! Well-stated! BTTT!
Hope they run both ads!!!! This and the Raines ad.
I guess McCain hates white people too...
Great ad! As someone else said, McCain is wrapping Fannie and Freddie around 0bama’s neck.
I think the sequence of the ads (Raines first then Johnson) was either brilliant or very lucky.
After the Raines ad, the moonbats cried “racism” because it because Raines happens to be black. Then 0bama lied and tried to act like he doesn’t even know Raines.
The second ad effectively says to them “OK, you didnt like that, well here is a white former Fannie Mae CEO who cooked the books and made millions, and he has a very close and undenialable relationship to 0bama.”
I guess Barry is regretting not “vetting the vetters”.
The next step (probably from a 527) should be connecting ACORN and its practice of shaking down banks into giving out bad loans, which helped lead to the mortgage meltdown, to Barry, who “community organized” for them and funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars of campaign money to them and made false reports to the FEC regarding the nature of the expendiutres.
Bad idea on McCain’s part. He should run that ad right after NObama’s ad every time.
First part of question: No. The brain dead can never be saved. Might get a couple, but not much. The fence sitters we need to get the message to.
Second: Not a chance. RATS are not charged and if so never convicted. The RAT machine saves them all and rewards their rotten deeds.
Agreed. He should be hammered up one side and down another. After all,NObama was the one who said he’d come out swinging. Let’s show him that “when you mess with the bull, you get the horns!!”McCain/Palin should do some careful fact-checking,then get these ads out ASAP!!
This is a great commercial. I love the ending “More Taxes”. “More Patriots”.
It’s a sarcastic ad, and it works.
And the announcement that the basic cause of the need for the bailout is loans made to people who couldn’t pay them back plays into this strategy.
I don’t know if Paulson meant to help, since Paulson is a democrat (we need to remind people of that, I read yesterday that Paulson was briefing the Obama campaign before he took some actions). But when Paulson laid the blame for this crisis at the feet of the Democrats, I had to laugh.
