Sarah Palin keeps collecting admirers. Her interview with ABC News Charles Gibson has added another legion, and that number is growing as the recognition spreads that the editing done to the interview was deeply deceptive of its overall impression --even stronger than what came through on the broadcast version--and that Gibson unfairly mangled a quote of hers. Media elites are clucking that Palin didn't instantly define the "Bush Doctrine" to the level of detail demanded by (their) judges, but another vast audience watched another attempt to diminish her and has responded with an even greater enthusiasm for the Alaska governor. The ABC News editors who left critical parts of Sarah Palin's interview responses on the clipping room floor knew exactly what they were doing. And now that the American public knows exactly what they are doing large parts of them are becoming hopping mad--especially the women. Manhattan-Beltway media elites are very slow to recognize anything completely new. This is why prior to 9/11 they were in the dark about Islamist extremism. It is why prior to $4 a gallon gas, they had never anticipated a huge majority of Americans would demand offshore drilling.
And it is why they still don't understand the Palin Breakout....Since the day John McCain selected Palin as his running mate, I have spoken with only women callers to my radio show. For the past week I have limited callers to those who are calling a radio show for the very first time. All the lines have been filled every hour of every day. Caller after caller wants to discuss their affection for Sarah, their willingness to work for her and contribute to the RNC and to share stories of like-minded women in their families and among their friends.
Each new attack on Palin brings increased enthusiasm for her. _HH As noted here previously, roughly 90% of the US mainstream media is out to shoot Sarah Palin down like a mad dog in the street. They consider it their job to destroy a competent female executive of an American state, in order to make sure that their preferred candidate is elected. The American public has seen this type of dishonesty before (fake but accurate), and is growing increasingly cynical and angry toward the media as a result. The problem of corrupt media manipulation of the news is getting worse, and will lead to a very unhappy end for that same corrupt media.
Whatever the media hopes to gain by skewing news coverage, in the case of Sarah Palin, they are only helping to grow Sarah's army of female supporters.
More on biased news coverage here and here.
It’s not just US women. She offers all US citizens hope that she will go into Washington and flush out all of the Hollis French types who are infesting the place.
The “Orkin Mom?”
FNC - Greta Van Susteren will be interviewing Sarah next week. This should bring thousands more over to vote for Palin/McCain. Taking congress away from the rats is looking better and better.
Heh heh heh!
After reading the unedited version of her interview with Gibson I must say that she did much better than what was presented.
The McCain campaign should shoot their own footage of any interview they give. They must do this in self defense.
And Gibson is supposed to be the “fairest” of the anchors on the “big 3” networks. What a disgrace.
The bias is so egregious that people need to be biased against using the products that are advertised on this and other so called "news" shows. Time to hit them where it hurts.
Gibson the Biased Media Bully: "Please take off your flag pin. It is an ABC rule."
"The Times got it wrong. And Charlie Gibson got it wrong.
There is no single meaning of the Bush doctrine. In fact, there have been four distinct meanings,
each one succeeding another over the eight years of this administration --
and the one Charlie Gibson cited is not the one in common usage today.
...... I know something about the subject because, as the Wikipedia entry
on the Bush doctrine notes, I was the first to use the term.

Comparison: Gibson Questions for Obama (and Edwards in 2004) vs. for Sarah Palin
Obama's Puff-piece interview:
How does it feel to break a glass ceiling?
How does it feel to win?
How does your family feel about your winning breaking a glass ceiling?
Who will be your VP?
Should you choose Hillary Clinton as VP?
Will you accept public finance?
What issues is your campaign about?
Will you visit Iraq?
Will you debate McCain at a town hall?
What did you think of your competitors [Clinton] speech?
Palin's 'kangaroo court' interview:
Do you have enough qualifications for the job youre seeking?
Specifically have you visited foreign countries and met foreign leaders?
Arent you conceited to be seeking this high level job?
Questions about foreign policy
-territorial integrity of Georgia
-allowing Georgia and Ukraine to be members of NATO
-NATO treaty
-Iranian nuclear threat
-what to do if Israel attacks Iran
-Al Qaeda motivations
-the Bush Doctrine
-attacking terrorists harbored by Pakistan
Is America fighting a holy war? [misquoted Palin]
"Charles Gibson of ABC News was out for blood and inherently applied
a double-standard compared with the kid gloves George Stephanopoulos
used on Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois on Sunday night.
Gibson was out to embarrass Palin and expose her presumed ignorance from the word go. "
UPI Say ABC Exhibits Double Standard
ABC News Edited Out Key Parts of Sarah Palin Interview
First, CBS soiled itself over the Rathergate memo.
Last week, NBC essentially admitted the bias of their anchors by re-assigning Olberdork and Matthews.
I think the McCain camp is hoping that ABC discredits themselves with these interviews. So far, ABC is doing just that.
Then comes an election and what they thought was an upswelling of sympathy for their cause was nothing more than people ignoring them. The center-right majority asserts its commitment to patriotism and traditional values. In utter disbelief and shock, the leftists throw a destructive tantrum (read: MSM) when they come off losers.
What a pathetic way to live the only life you get.

You’re right! That is the only language they speak! $$$$$$$

“Boycott ABC sponsors:
Target, Glade Scented Oil (SC Johnson), Plavix, Advil PM,
Verizon, BlindsTOGo, Magic Eraser (Mr. Clean), Stop and Shop,
Toyota, Bali Bras, Ghost Town (movie), Prilosec OTC, Verizon Wireless,
Ethan Allen, AT&T, Werther Original Chocolates, Garnier Hair Products”
The only thing I use from this list is AT&T for local service....not sure if I can change that! I’ll find out or at least contact AT&T.
Thanks!
Charlie Gibson caused me to love and respect Gov. Palin even more.
“The McCain campaign should shoot their own footage of any interview they give.”
I agree. Why do they think they should be at the beck and call of big media?
Please, GOP, protect your candidates! Why was McCain on “The View” tv show?? Nothing but an outlandishly-liberal panel except for Elizabeth. Do NOT have Sarah go on the show. She does not need those attacks.
Where is your common sense, campaign head(s)? Please show better judgment concerning interviews.
If you don’t believe this pic
ask Larry Sinclair.
