Do internet news sites and blogs go over the top in questioning John McCain's military record? It seems that more and more groups are questioning whether or not his record is worthy of the praise he's receiving:

A lot of this gets swept under the rug. Throw in McCains membership in the CFR and his backstabbing of Conservatism throughout the years and well.............
If you think I’d rather have Barry, I don’t. I just don’t see much of a difference. Same bought and sold Pols.

Exactly!
Since they won't debate known truths about his lacking character, they make up something to divert.
Hey Team Obama, your cyber-fandance isn't working — most people see the truth. Especially at such a decisive time in our nation.
Obama wants marxism/socialism/communism/liberalism/liberation theology to replace Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. And many of us are fighting to make sure he and his puppeteers don't succeed.
The same group that went after Kerry’s Vietnam record are after McCain. If any of this is true, he’s a worse candidate/person than even I imagined.
Personally, I think they would be better off questioning Obama’s record.
Oh, wait... he DOESN’T HAVE MUCH OF A RECORD ON ANYTHING!
Posting record? Spamming record.
No contest. No matter how much I disagree with Mac’s policies, he is a man who loves and has served his country well.
Obama: ROFLOL
John O’neill is supporting McCain, if I am not mistaken.
Bud Day supports John McCain, and that’s enough for me.
Hell anyone that was in the Hanoi Hilton with him and supports him is good enough for me.

I thought you were talking about the Swifties, who had a much larger profile opposing J F’n K.
Major General Edward Mechenbier who retired from the AF Reserves in 2004 is one of McCain’s Ohio Veterans leadership Team in Ohio. He spent over five years as a POW and went on to become Major General and Mobilization Assistant to the Commander of Air Force Logistics Command.

If the former POW Mechenbier supports McCain, then that is good enough for me. I have the uptmost respect for Mechenbier.
Good luck forming a Hanoi Hilton POWs against John McCain group.
I’m sure there are hundreds of Green Beret/SEAL/Recon MOH winners just waiting to join...
All talk; no do!
That's simply not true.
Try 95% or better(recently)You know what I am talking about.I dont think he cuts it.

Isn't this being more than a little deceptive? Implying (by omission) that the Swifties are going against McCain by vaguely referring to 'the people who went after Kerry' is a trick straight out of the liberal playbook.
Incidentally, in looking through that page, I noticed that all of the articles appear to be from the 2004 election cycle. While I could certainly be mistaken, I'd expect that a group which is opposing McCain would have a current article or two posted opposing him.
BTW, here's a little background on Ted Sampley:
http://www.vietnamveteransagainstjohnmccain.com/
I just said the same folks were going after McCain that went after Kerry.
I'm not making any accusations but, there seems to be a lot of info out there that everyone should at least debate especially given the rumor of Kerry asking McCain to be his VP and their memberships in the CFR.
It tells the story of a pilot named Wetzel who was shot down early in the Persian Gulf War and declared MIA.
Sampley told this guy's family that he was dead and had been brutally butchered but that the Pentagon didn't want anybody to know.
Unfortunately (for Sampley anyway), the pilot was later recovered safe and sound and reunited with his family.
Can you imagine the pain that Sampley inflicted on that family? Sampley later said that he never really believed the butchering story anyway. If that were really the case, why did he tell it to the pilot's family?
I'd seriously recommend reading the whole article for a sobering view of this guy Sampley who's leading the attacks on McCain. It's very disturbing to say the least.
I didn’t say I agreed with his agenda. Frankly, I have more than enough reasons not to vote for McCain without any of this.
