Murdoch: Obama Will Win By Landslide
JammieWearingFool ^ | May 29, 2008 | JammieWearingFool

The man portrayed by the left as evil incarnate is saying Barack Obama will win by a landslide in November.

This isn't supported by the polls at this time, but with more than five months to go, anything can happen. We already know one Murdoch who's hosting overseas fundraisers for Obama, so it wouldn't be a shock if her father jumped on board.

AUSTRALIAN expatriate Rupert Murdoch today predicted a Democratic landslide in the US presidential election against a gloomy economic backdrop over the next 18 months.

Mr Murdoch has yet to endorse a US presidential candidate but considers Barack Obama very promising, the News Corp (parent company of the publisher of NEWS.com.au) chairman said in an interview by two Wall Street Journal reporters at an annual conference for high-tech industry insiders.

News Corp recently acquired ownership of the Journal and its parent company Dow Jones & Co.

"You have got the Obama phenomenon. You have got, undoubtedly, a recession ... The average American is really getting hurt financially and that all bodes well for him (Obama)," Mr Murdoch said.

"You have probably the making of a complete phenomenon in this country," Mr Murdoch said in describing what he predicted will be a sweeping victory for Democrats in November.

The recent special election for a US Congressional seat held by Republicans in Mississippi showed how powerless that party may be in the face of a rising political tide, Mr Murdoch said.
Despite his portrayal as some extreme right-winger by the left, Murdoch is most unpredictable. He was making nice with Hillary Clinton for a couple of years, and could well jump on the Obama bandwagon.
Murdoch is associated with conservative political views but has a reputation for a pragmatic streak in major national races where he has shown a willingness to switch sides when he detects major political changes afoot.
According to the latest Rasmussen numbers, McCain leads Obama 47-43%, but trails Clinton by a point if matched against her.

6 months is a lifetime on politics and this man will re visit this statement by Mid October, IMHO

The Magic Black man will be seen in a different light by then, as his childness and lack of experience come to light.

I would suggest that the gaffs that are ahead will even force the liberal media to "cover their bets": the Obomba cannot stand up to close scrunity and it's on the way......but he is a Bill Clinton clone...smooth, lying, and empty....

I think so too. In fact I think Hillary will get the nomination. Even Dims have enough sense to eventually understand what a joke Hussein is, and what a disaster he'd be in the White house.

Here's something I never thought I'd admit: I'm feeling a certain sympathy for Hillary. She's survived a harsh test. Perseverance counts.

As much as I despise this woman I have to say, she's the lesser of the two evils.

I suspect the Dims will eventually see this.

I don’t see how he can win unless he somehow wins over the most reliable voting block in our nation...older voters. Older voters have not moved an inch toward him during these primaries and those are the Dem seniors. I don’t see anyone over 50 that is not a hard core leftist voting for this imbecile. They are aware of history. My parents live in an area of mixed political views, and no one likes him one bit.

” As much as I despise this woman I have to say, she’s the lesser of the two evils. “

And McCain is the lesser of 3 evils , so let’s all run down smiling to the voting booth and gleefully vote for the white Obama . No way !

This is a very unusual election year in that the three people left in this presidential campaign are candidates who don't have a chance in hell of winning a presidential election . . . except for the fact that their opponents don't have a chance in hell of winning a presidential election, either.

If I had any presidential aspirations myself, I would absolutely NOT want to run in 2008. The next four years are going to be a complete disaster in this country, and these three clowns are running to see who gets the "privilege" of serving as captain of the Titanic.

It might be hard for a lot of Freepers to accept, but barring a big screw-up by Obama that the media can’t hide, Murdoch is right on the money.

Forget the polls and all the TV pundits. The real indicators of the coming landslide are all around us, if only we would bother to notice.

McCain, the RNC, and the down-ticket candidates can’t raise any money.

They also aren’t getting any support - those grunt workers who stuff the envelopes, register the voters, write the letters to the editor, hand out the literature, man the phone banks, and get-out-the-vote on election day.

As bad as Democrat opponents may be, the loyal conservative base isn’t being motivated by the Senate and House Republicans who still want amnesty, pork, spending (e.g., the recent housing bill). They won’t vote Democrat, but they may stay home, and they certainly won’t talk it up with their friends, families, and neighbors.

With the presidential campaign now over a year old and in spite of the failures of the Democrat congress since 2006, you don’t see any sense of outrage over the drift of government.

Conservatives, both Republicans and those in the Reagan Democrat camp, have had it. They no longer care about government no mater who runs it.

Your best hope? The certain-to-fail Obama regime allied with the already failed Democrat Congress will finally wake people up. Just suffer the next four years.

I think you are dead on.

2008 is going to be a blood bath.

Conservatives need to start getting their crap together for 2010.

“McCain, the RNC, and the down-ticket candidates can’t raise any money.”

Although McCain hasn’t been able to raise money like Obama, the RNC has outraised the DNC by far. I believe they have 40 million on hand compared to the 3-4 million the DNC has on hand.

I do not share your confidence that the Dims have ANY sense at all. I believe that their lust for power overcomes all else.

That being said, I’m hard pressed to find any sense among the Pubbies either.

What a fine mess we’ve gotten ourselves into this time!

That is why FOX is such a joke. The network puts on a face of conservatism when in reality they are just as liberal as the rest of the lame stream media.

Your vitriol and distain are unfounded. Your love for Obama is unfathomable.

President Obama...... doesn’t scare the hell out of you?

Any one with a cingle CC of conservative blood can’t possibly stomach the concept of President Obama.

People like you will assure the obama victory.
