We can win the same sex marriage movement.

Posted on 05/25/2008 7:48:37 AM PDT by Azcaddy

Lets not keep requesting for same sex marriage. Lets demand that one woman and one man marriges no longer get the benefits that type of marriage receives from federal and state government. When they realize that they have no power of decision making over the health of their mate, that neither one can inherit the social security or the estate they have built and that they loose all the benefits just for the entitlement of one man and one woman marriage certificate. That will stop the religious and political push to change the US Constitution or any state constitution.

The problem with same-sex marriage is that it is a false idea and and entirely unnecessary. There is no clear benefit and much cost involved. We have a lizard that hangs out on our front doorstep. The kids left a bright blue colored plastic lizard on the doorstep and later my daughter noticed that the lizard was “wrestling” with the plastic one day. It was pretty clear that the lizard on the doorstep fancied the plastic lizard a lot and wrestling he was not. He could wrestle all day long and he would still be left with the fiction.

It is an inherent fact that those who do not choose a mate of the opposite sex for sexual relations are participating in the same kind of fiction the difference being is that they as human beings do have a choice but even if they didn’t the endorsement of such an extraordinarily obvious defect of natural human sexuality that runs against the very basic nature and goals of all sexual reproduction on the planet would still stand out as dysfunctional which it clearly is.

It does not take the belief in religion or a Christian God to arrive at the empirical conclusion that homosexuality is aberrant. Even the Greeks which are often touted as the most liberal on homosexual issues became so only at the end of their culture. Also the effeminate homosexual male was the target of ridicule by the other citizens, especially comedy writers as they are even today. For example, Aristophanes (c.445-c.380) shows them dressed like women, with a bra, a wig and a gown, and calls them euryprôktoi, “wide arses”.

The history aside what we are left with is the request that we ignore what nature tells us through the understanding of the correct orientation and function of human sex organs and what humankind has known since the earliest civilization and grant not simply that people who cohabit be eligible for benefits but that the very practice of same-sex marriage be given the same stature as the marriage between a man and a women.

Those that wish this change do not stop there, they want the young taught that these practices are acceptable and are natural. They want us to ignore that throughout history up to modern times homosexuality especially between men has been inextricably intertwined with pederasty and one of the horrible facts is that surveys show that most homosexual men began their homosexual or bisexual journey through sexual abuse by an older man. This cultural change that is requested is not simply tolerance, instead what is desired is the suppression of what is an obvious and known fact that homosexuality is an aberration, a dysfunction, a sexual retardation of sorts if you will.

While we are fed on propaganda of sitcoms and reality shows with effeminate well groomed men the true reality and hardship of the homosexual lifestyle should not be ignored. Homosexual on homosexual violence, the promiscuity that makes them the single most infected group of people on the planet representing the bulk of sexually transmitted and lower intestinal infections with drug abuse far exceeding anything comparable in the straight community and mental and psychological disorders which color the whole of the gay subculture. While we laugh they suffer not because we do not accept them but because they in all their sexual liberation
seem to be searching for something that is unattainable while they continue living the lifestyle that they do.

The endorsement of gay marriage and even civil unions will not change this subculture it will further lead us on a course of integrating and accepting not just the dysfunction of same sex sex but also make it impossible to treat or help the bulk of those who need it in that community while exposing and entreating countless young adolescents down a path of confusion and death. The protection of the myth of homosexual normalcy becomes not only a prison for them but also for us as we who do not ascribe or agree will face censor at every turn as is already the case in some states.

Traditional marriage was supported by the government in the past because traditional marriage supplied almost our entire future. Practically all future government workers were born and raised in traditional homes, plus all people in the military and in fact everyone, period. Because this vital contribution came from very few other places, the government supported married couples who, in turn, bequeathed to us the entire future of society.

The support made sense. Children were no longer needed to work on the farm by the vast majority of Americans and raising a child was a costly and extremely time-consuming endeavor. Parents sacrificed much for their children. Women gave up careers and men stayed at jobs they may have detested for decades all for the benefit of supporting their offspring. This was not a time when self-fulfillment was advertised as a social good.

Today, the waters have been muddied by a number of factors including the pill, no-fault divorce, and single parenting.

While the pill was devised with traditional families in mind in 1957, it of course helped fuel the sexual revolution and out-of-wedlock births.

No-fault divorce, a liberal innovation, was touted by progressives in the 70s as being good for children. The child would no longer have to hear the parents fight. The child would get two rooms, more brothers and sisters to play with, plus more toys, and wouldn’t all that be fun!

We know now that, of course, it isn’t fun. Here in Virginia, a law was introduced which would have mandated that no-fault divorce could only apply to couples who have no children. I am embarrassed to say that I don’t know the fate of the measure, but it makes eminent sense. Both parties must agree to a divorce where children are involved. I would suggest to you that instead of abolishing marriage benefits, we reform our divorce laws. There is, in fact, an organization called Americans for Divorce Reform, Inc. which at http://www.divorcereform.org/ which proposes exactly this sort of law.

The sexual revolution also turned sex outside of marriage into a societal norm rather than something to be darkly ashamed of. Children reared in such circumstances are far more likely to grow up in poverty and are at a much higher risk for a variety of social pathologies - trouble in school, trouble with the law, drug abuse and so on.

Rather than abolish government benefits for marriage, we need to strengthen traditional marriage. Having grown up in an alcoholic but in-tact home, I know full well that traditional homes can be problematic, but any home of any type can be problematic. The fact is that child-rearing is still a costly and time-consuming endeavor, even when some of the labor is farmed out to child care agencies. Parents seeking to raise healthy children deserve our support rather than our negligence.

I’ve posted this before, but I still like it. On May 4, somebody posted an article at http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2011086/posts . The article is a bit sensationalistic, but it makes the point about gay marriage.

“they have no power of decision making over the health of their mate”

That’s the problem with queers. They are so mentally deficient that they don’t even know that they can sign a document that gives that power to their mate...meaning, that whole health argument is bogus. Queers just hate themselves because they know they are mentally ill and want to tear down everyone else in a vain attempt to make themselves feel better.
