John has an 83% lifetime ACU rating.

Try again, with context. McCain lagged behind 38 other Senators in 2006 who had a higher lifetime ACU rating than he did, which was well over half of the Republican side of the Senate in 2006. McCain is below the line as far as lifetime conservatism is concerned. In 2005 44 Senators had higher ACU ratings, and in 2006 46 Senators did. McCain is a shamnesty liberal through and through and a socialist global warming freak to boot. A pretty wicked combination.

Of course he'll lose to Obambi for not being liberal enough. Better seek high ground for the best view of the Obambi tsunami that's coming in November, thanks to GOP ineptitude. It's gonna be one hell of a show.

Here's the context. Out of every 100 votes important to the American Conservative Union, John McCain voted the right way 83 times.

No one in the race is more conservative than John McCain.

So folks who are passing on John McCain are people who had the chance to vote for the most conservative person in the race for POTUS 2008 and failed to do so. They will be those who chose not to help the most conservative person in the race.

You can cite the 38 senators who were more conservative than John McCain in 2006 but none of them is in the race and almost everyone of them is supporting John MCCain. You can cite every failure he ever had. But, you are helping those who are trying to prevent the election of the most conservative candidate in the POTUS 2008 race.

No one in YOUR race. He isn’t in mine.

You don't have one of your own. It's America's race. It has been governed and guided and established by that precious document the constitution.

Now at this point the reality of politics and the will of the people is going to make one or the other of these men president. THAT is the race I'm talking about.

So in THAT race, their is only John McCain and Barak Obama. YOU have a right to vote for one or the other, for a third party/independent or to abstain from voting in that election.

If you fail to vote for and help John McCain it's your right and your business. If you choose to speak day in and day out as to the failures of John McCain before the same precious document, that is also your right and your business.

However, there is no escaping the fact that one of these two men will be the next president and everything you do to damage John McCain's chances is preventing the most conservative candidate in THE ONLY RACE for POTUS 2008.

That's just the way it is. I wished a lot of things were different. They're not.

McCain is a backstabbing socialist- he’s no conservative and never has been. Let that weigh heavy on your mind when you cast your vote for him.

I am very familiar with McCain's failings. And Gingrich's. And Thompson's. even my first pick Duncan Hunter. And my hero, Ronald Reagan, yep, he had faults too.

The choices aren't going to change. They are only John McCain and Barak Obama. No one else is a choice in this race. The US Constitution, our forefathers and the Democrat and Republican primary voters have put this choice in front of you.

You can be as mad as you want at me. I didn't make this situation.

You come across as an arrogant type, calling me an “Obama plant”. You sound like a pea in a pod with your buddy McCain. McCain hasn’t gone socialist - he’s been one for years. Voting record.

ACU rating is based on GOP policy, not an independent “conservative” standard.

I didn’t say he’s running against me: non-sequiter.

Vote for him twice if you want to (if you live in Texas or Chicago, that is).

You’re entitled to support whomever you choose and what ever opinion you choose. As am I.

“No one in the race is more conservative than John McCain.”

That says more about the race (and those who are in it) than it does about the candidate from Arizona.

I don’t see PA or DE going for Obama (see Bradley effect).

DE I don’t know about but PA I doubt would go for Obama either. I mentioned to you before that the yellow dog dims in Pa don’t even consider Obama a yellow dog.

Correct. DE has a large black population scattered throughout the state, but if the blue collar white population in New Castle county switches to McCain in large numbers, then he will win DE. Not enough white yuppies in any of DE’s three counties to form a coalition with the black population.

A bit of an update. From this site: http://www.mcclatchydc.com/227/story/31673.html

McCain’s lifetime rating from the ACU, considered the authority on conservative rankings, is 82.3, though it dropped in recent years and was 65 in 2006, when five senators had a perfect score.

His record is hard to assess. National Journal, which ranks members according to the political tilt of their votes, found that since Republicans took control of the Senate in 1995, “McCain has moved steadily to the middle” and by 2006 was the 46th most conservative senator.

I just looked up the Bradley effect. Interesting. You could see the Bradley effect here in Louisiana when Jindal ran against Blanco. Jindal was consistently leading but Blanco pulled it out in the end. Of course the people of LA came to their senses and have since elected Jindal. There were some other factors in Jindals loss to Blanco in the last days too.

What about Iowa. I lived in Nebraska some years ago and I have been to Iowa several times. Somehow I can't see Iowa going for Obama. I could be wrong though, I am rather dated in my experiences in Iowa.

Based on that map, it comes down to a handful of states to decide this thing, just like the last two elections. McCain should and must hold Florida. He brings New Hampshire into play and should do the same in New Mexico. I have a feeling Nevada will also be very close. Colorado and Ohio seem to be the biggest Bush states that are in jeopardy. Wisconsin has been very close the last two times so McCain has a decent shot.

that precious document the constitution.

The US Constitution? That document that defines the very core of these here states? The one that some espouse will protect them from the eeeevil obama and clinton, so that in four years (or eight as the case may be) we, the true conservatives can once again gain power by telling the millions of americans, "see, I told you so?" That Constitution?

Folks, a Hillary or Obama win is not simply going to be eight years in the wilderness. Either one of them, with the help of the low lifes in congress, is going to flush that document, rape it, burn it, shread, spin fold and yes, mutilate it, until it will be nothing more than a piece of trash blowing in the wind, to be grabbed by some hobo and used to start their mulligan stew fire.

And then, we can rebuild this country once again!! yeah, that's the ticket.

F'in box of rocks for brains.

And don't no one start with that "I have taken an oath and sworn to protect the Constitution from all enemies, both foreign and domestic", while you gleefully rub your hands in anticipation of a mccain loss, so's you can show 'em what it's all about.
