DUmmie FUnnies 04-21-08 ("Why are so many Obama supporters so angry?")
DUmmie FUnnies ^ | April 21, 2008 | DUmmies and PJ-Comix

The Democrat Meltdown continues apace. Yes, thanx to Operation Chaos, the Democrats are performing their Meltdown Comedy Theater for our entertainment pleasure. I'm sure their Meltdown will only intensify after the Pennsylvania primary tomorrow. You can get an idea of just how intense the current Meltdown is by the very title of this DUmmie THREAD, "Why are so many Obama supporters so angry .. so provocative .. and yes, so bitter, if Obama has the nomination locked up?" Why? I'll tell you why. Because instead of relaxing and preparing for the general election like almost all nominees do at this stage of the election season, Barack Obama is being FORCED to hustle himself on the campaign trail and continue to open himself up to yet more mistakes which will come back to haunt him. Yes, Barack, you will be forced to struggle with Hillary all the way to this summer's Democrat convention and possibly beyond. The big fringe benefit of this is that it provides tons of comedic entertainment for my DUFU readers during what should have been a dull interlude in the campaigns. So let us now watch the DUmmies performing Democrat Meltdown Comedy Theater in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, once again thanking Rush Limbaugh and his Operation Chaos for making this entertaining show possible, is in the [brackets]:

Why are so many Obama supporters so angry .. so provocative .. and yes, so bitter, if Obama has the nomination locked up?

[Because Hillary has become the Michael Myers of the campaign who just keeps coming back to haunt Obama.]

Seriously -- it's like listening to a bunch of lottery winners bitch and moan about what a hassle it is to have to drive "all the way" to the bank to cash your multi-million dollar winning checks.

[Hey, gas prices have gotten kind of high.]

You poor things.

[And now to watch the Obamatons join the fray...]

I ain't angry......but I ain't gonna take it anymore, that's why!

[You're not angry...just mad as hell.]

Because Dems are wasting precious time & resources that we need in the GE, that's why.

[And DUmmie AtomicKitten WINS a Kewpie Doll for having a brief moment of mental clarity!]

They want instant gratification - their way or the highway. Hmmm...might their wish to end it now be a sign of panic - to crown their candidate before more of his weaknesses come out everyday?

[Obama's debate disaster in Philly wouldn't have happened if Hillary had dropped out mainly because there would have been NO debate in the first place.]

Hillary Clinton is finished: Waiting for you to digest that beats any insult you invoke & deserve.

[But like Michael Myers she just keeps coming back to slash at the Obama campaign.]

It puzzles me that Clinton supporters here aren't concerned about this. It's almost like they don't care whether Democrats win the GE. They only want their favorite candidate to win. And yes, I do realize there were plenty of Obama supporters acting the same way when he looked to be losing, but it's almost May now and McCain has clearly benefited from the prolonged race. So you'd have to be a fool to think this was helping us.

[Instead of relaxing, Obama is being forced to remain on guard at all times against his personal Michael Myers.]

Clinton is choosing to become a pariah to the party: So be it.

[More like the Michael Myers to the party.]

I no longer believe your objectivity. I no longer believe your sincerity. Your agenda is clear and you make me sad.

[Also mad.]

BOTH "teams" (WTF!!!!!!!!!!) are behaving like ASSHOLES

[I agree.]

I think his candidacy simply attracts angry people. I do not know why.... but the rancor is astonishing. And I am not talking about just D.U. I mean real life Dems. Even in my own family!!

[Democrat civil war is FUn to watch!]

HIllary is working to destroy Obama's chance in the GE. Her only goal at this point is to ensure that McCain becomes president so that she has a shot in 2012. Bitter ? No. Angry, you bet. Antone who isn't angry about what she is doing shouldn't call themselves a Democrat.

[Hee! Hee! GO HILLARY!!!]

Why have the attacks become so personal, Democrat against Democrat? It's like we're all on the Jerry Springer Show.

[I'm still chuckling over the time when Jerry Springer, as mayor of Cincinatti, paid for a hooker via a check that bounced.]

In primaries they are about tied in delegates. His margin comes from sham caucuses with 2-5% turnout where working folks, seniors, and immigrants--all big Clinton groups are disenfranchised. Fortunately there are no more sham caucuses left on the calendar.

[Yeah, such a shame that illegal aliens ("immigrants") can't vote in the caucuses. Actually they can vote in the Democrat caucuses but the risks are much greater than voting by ballot.]

One reason may be we have to play defense all the time, just like Sen. Obama, thanks to Sen. I'm-confortable-in-the-kitchen and her supporters. Those pots and pans, and other items in the kitchen sting when thrown and hit people.

[Especially those kitchen knives tossed by Michael Myers.]

It's because the nomination will me NOTHING if Camp Clinton and it's supporters destroy any chance Obama will have in the GE.

[Hillary is well on her way to that goal.]

I am a bit angry, I will admit. The candidate we will be running in November should be campaigning against McCain. Every day we lose is an advantage for the Republicans. There is no way Hillary can win the nomination unless she convinces super and elected delegates to flip in her favor and if she does that, she will have destroyed the party. I've also heard she plans to take the whole mess to court. That, too, would have the potential of taking out the party. The question for people to ask of Hillary right now is whether she is running for the common good or running for herself. When there is absolutely no way for her to pull ahead of Obama, no matter how much she wins Pennsylvania by, it's time for a dose of reality.

[Hee! Hee! I love watching Michael Myers slash the Democrat party to pieces.]

HRC is gong to take it to court??!! so now the voters are going to be sued for not voting for her? do you have more info about this? what is it about? what is her case? is it about FL & MI?

[Blame Algore for it. He started this whole lawyering the election results shtick in FL 2000.]

And I'm angry at all the Hillary supporters who can't seem to see she's destroying the party -- or perhaps youdo see and that's what you want.

[It's what I want. GO HILLARY!!!]

Dean is showing himself to be a petulant little man who wants Obama to win so badly that he'll disenfranchise Democratic voters in two states. What the hell were voters supposed to do when their primary was set ahead of Super Tuesday, thus breaking King Howard's new rules? Stay home? Try to vote on Super Tuesday when the polls would be closed? Dean's insistence that we must have a nominee by July 1 or he will throw a tantrum is also childish and undemocratic.

[Dean throw a tantrum? YEEEEEAAAAAGGGHHHHHH!!!!]

I am just waiting for all the theatrics to be over with so we can start focusing on the general.

[You have a loooooong wait ahead.]

The Democrats are bitter people, clinging to their Little Red Books and wellfare checks.

She has no choice but to hope that four years is enough time to rebuild.

That's about all it is; hope. I doubt many will want to revisit the Clinton years in 2012, just as they aren't much interested today.

She knows that if Obama wins she has no chance until 2016.

True. But I still believe neither would have much of a chance come 2012; Clinton loyalists working behind the scenes or not.

Is the “smartest woman on Earth” intelligent enough to realize this? Or does she know that the Presidency is her destiny? No matter what.

Whoa! This sounds like personal experience. I didn't know Bill Clinton was a DUmmie!

Oh, I think she knows the likelihood of a presidency in 2012 should she not win the nomination this year. That’s why she continues to fight tooth-and-nail.

Her problem is she began the campaign believing she was destined for the nomination...and the presidency. Democrats at large have essentially told her she was delusional. She has yet to find a way to overcome a situation she never expected, and wasn’t prepared to handle. About the only avenue open is to steal the nomination. But she has to know what will ensue.

You're right. But if Obama runs and loses, his name will not even be seriously suggested in 2012.

Clinton will have maybe a 10% shot in 2012, Obama will have 0%.

The Democrats do not have a particularly deep bench either, at this point.

If Richardson is Obama's VP candidate, they will both be zeroed out in 2012. Edwards, Kerry and Gore are done.

Who's left? Evan Bayh? There has to be a reason why he has not yet tested the waters.

Spitzer was being groomed - he's gone.

I agree with your projections. I also agree how shallow their field is. However, the Republican field is shallow, in terms of real conservatives. The one redeeming aspect of a McCain Presidency, IMO, is that it would be a one-term affair. Thus, it would give us 4 years to find someone with good conservative credentials and the will to run in 2012. Perhaps by that time Duncan Hunter will have learned how to campaign better than he showed this time. And, make a name for himself (more so than today) in the meantime.

While I was a Fredhead, he's not in my playbook come 2012.

I think that explains almost all dims.

That means Operation Chaos has been a true success!!

The problem with Duncan Hunter is that he is just a House Rep.

He has no control over how much media exposure he gets as one of 535 reps and he has no government executive experience.

Senators get lots of media exposure, and Governors also get a decent amount - plus extra kudos for their executive role.

Ideologically, I agree with Hunter about 90%-95% - but no one in the primaries had any clue who he was and he bowed out early before he was able to differentiate himself or get any real screen time.

If he wants to be a serious contender in 2012 he had better hit the ground now and start campaigning. I wish I was joking.

What would you think of a McCain/Hunter ticket with McCain stepping aside after four years and allowing the VP to run?

I used Hunter’s name because he seemed to have the widest support from those who backed other candidates as their first choice. And I still consider him the best of the least known.

But what you say is true. He didn’t/and doesn’t have the name recognition. The problem with the Senate is, there’s little to draw from in terms of strong conservatives. And the gubernatorial pool is also shallow in terms of good conservative leaders.

I'd be interested, of course. But I'm not going to hold my breath. I simply don't see it happening. Wish I were wrong, though.
