Oh Holiest of Holies, Hallowed be thy Blessed Name. No mere mortal, especially EVIL Republicans are worthy enough to allow your name to pass from their lips. Even writing it I feel compelled to spell it as B*r*ck *b*m*. If you think I am exaggerating about the awe in which the DUmmies hold the sacred name of Barack Obama, think again as you can see from the very title of this DUmmie THREAD, "Is it just me, or do you also get pissed when you hear McCain say Obama's name?" The reverence of this thread is also reflected in this other DUmmie THREAD titled, "Barack loves me, this I know." So let us now watch the DUmmies work themselves into a righteous fury in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, not yet worthy enough to utter the name of You-Know-Who, is in the [brackets]:
Is it just me, or do you also get pissed when you hear McCain say Obama's name?
[I agree. You must first achieve a high level of progressive holiness before you can even attempt to say the sacred name of Barack Obama.]
Makes me want to slap the everloving crap out of him.
[HE IS NOT WORTHY!!!]
Don't forget Rove, I hate him too.
[Do you foul your diaper whenever you hear Karl Rove utter the sacred name of Barack Obama?]
If this were the wild wild west, we could send a posse out for him.
[If this were medieval Spain, we could send the Inquistion out for him.]
Does he not say it with enough reverence?
[No, plus he does not drop to his knees when speaking the sacred name.]
No, he's a republican speaking a democrats name and it drives me insane. He thinks he's entitled. Asshole--I hope his head explodes.
[It is a sacrilege for a Republican to speak the sacred Obama name.]
I don't like mccain, but just cause he says his opponent's name, if that pisses you off, you're not going to have a fun time this november.
[I'm already envisioning exploding DUmmie heads.]
You're right, I'm already on Nexium because of this election.
[By November, you'll be on heroin.]
I believe everyone in this country should be vetted before they are allowed to even breathe his name. That's why everybody but Obama supporters should just use "Glitterbama".
[You must be approved by a Board of Examiners before uttering the holy Obama name.]
Because he doesn't genuflect when he says it?
[Absolutely. You must drop to your knees and genuflect before daring to utter the sacred name.]
On Sunday, I attempted to teach my nephew, Ken, how to swim. He is nine and waaaaay too old to not know how to swim, especially for someone living in Florida. It turns out he has a paranoid fear of water to the extent that he would hold the side in only the shallow end of the pool and wouldn't let go. He absolutely believed he could not float. When I tried to drag him into deeper water, he went into a complete panic and refused to even TRY to learn how to swim.
Fortunately, at the same time some guy was teaching his kids to swim in the deep end of the pool. They were only five and six. They couldn't swim well but at least they made the ATTEMPT to swim and both of them finally made it across the deep end on their own.
So I pointed that out to Ken and told him those kids were looking at him like he was a big pansy. That sort of shamed him into at least trying to swim, especially after I kept reminding him not to humiliate himself due to the way the little kids were looking at him. By the end of the session, Ken was able to stay afloat and swim up to ten seconds at a time. Mainly he lost his fear of water so I told him he only needs to keep practicing.
I remember that by the time I was seven, I was swimming perfectly. Of course, I never had a fear of the water. So I guess the answer on how to teach kids how to swim when they have an irrational fear of the water is to have younger kids swimming nearby and using humiliation as an incentive to give it a try.
In before da ping.
PING!
Should he be He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named?
Works for me.
I take it these quotes are jr high kids attempting a political discussion? No adult would actually make such comments.
IB10, and it’s amazing to me how many DUers casually admit that their political anxieties have them on prescription drugs.
top 10
Does this make Hillary the anti-Bama?
Learning to swim wasn't the worst thing. Getting out of the big burlap sack first was the hard part!
:~)
Too wierd. The world has gone mad.
Nothing gender based or sexist implied. It fits better with their martial tendencies.
Shame is a fabulous motivator.
Geez.. the hatred in their voices.. it must be so sad to walk around through life with those feelings indside.
Democraps are so caring and giving and helpful- except to conservatives whose heads should explode.
As a little kid I spent my summers near, by, or on the water in Southern Wisconsin. But I never could develop a decent dive. It was only as a young teenager on family vacation in California that I learned to dive properly. The motivation? A young lady I met at our motel who taught me how. No better motivation that that :)
So did he learn to swim, or do you have to be Eeevil Uncle PJ again today? I learned when I was 5, although I did not live in Florida then.
“We must stone him for saying the sacred name.”
“Which sacred name?”
“Obama.”
“Stone him.”
“Obama. Obama. Obama.”
You're right, I'm already on Nexium because of this election.
Nexium, ha!
Moonbat fibber, I know you mean Lithium and Thorazine.
Main thing is to have no fear of the water.
