Obama was speaking to Morgan Freeman when he said, "this guy was president before I was, this guy was God before I was." This was supposed to be a joke, but even jokes can be blasphemy, "and there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies." Is there any doubt Obama has a mouth that speaks great things? I am no "end of the world nut", but I find Obama to be a great candidate for being compared to the bible's description of the anti-christ. The anti-Christ is to be given power, "over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations." Obama says he will, "remake this country and remake the world." As President he would have the power to accomplish this goal. He desires and promotes a new type of religion that all people, even the "non-believers" can be a part of, "What our deliberative, pluralistic democracy demands is that the religiously motivated translate their concerns into universal, rather than religion-specific, values." The anti-christ will, "open his mouth in blasphemy" against "them that dwell in heaven": Obama says he wants to, "create a Kingdom right here on Earth." I say I am not a "end of the world nut" because there are descriptions of the anti-christ that don't apply to Obama. The first is, "his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." One could say that a failed assassination attempt would prove this passage correct, especially since, "power was given unto him to continue forty and two months," after receiving the wound. That's three and a half years, and a presidential term is four years. But descriptions of the anti-christ's power over the world don't really apply to Obama, "and all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him." The bible also says something about the anti-christ that Obama hasn't done, "and it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them." So Obama clearly isn't the literal description of the anti-christ. But something about his campaign and his supporters rubs me the wrong way. His words are also too messianic to be ignored. For now, I'd say he's a watered down wannabe of the anti-christ.
“I am no “end of the world nut”, but I find Obama to be a great candidate for being compared to the bible’s description of the anti-christ.”
Yes you are. You just don’t recognize it yet.
start with parpagraphs first. then move on to prophecies.
Everybody knows that Oprah is the anti-christ.
We’ll see how Hillary does tonight and if she does well she can be the antichrist again.
Maybe since HUSSEIN Obama is a Islamist.
I do love your screen name!
I want to be Scully when I grow up.
Although your name suggests that “the truth is out there”, I know where you’re coming from. Admittedly the thought crossed my mind once watching one of his speeches way late at night. But, my logical side tells me I’m just being weird. But, say he was a Muslim and has a special interest in Muslim philosophy - that would unite in a weird way the world. Note to self - if asked to get a chip implant if Heaven forbid Obama is prez - Just say no!
Of all the strange "crimes" that human beings have legislated out of nothing, "blasphemy" is the most amazing - with "obscenity" and "indecent exposure" fighting it out for the second and third place.Robert A. Heinlein, Time Enough for Love, 1973

LOLOL! This needs a Liquid Warning!
“Note to self - if asked to get a chip implant if Heaven forbid Obama is prez - Just say no!”
Say NO to RFID Chips period.
Somebody mentions that the Mormon Jesus is the spirit brother of Satan from "pre-existent times" (mainstream LDS doctrine, BTW), & they go nuts with wrath & indignation over truth bubbling up to the surface. But Fox_Mulder posts something that mentions one of the leading POTUS candidates is conjectured-to-possibly-maybe-well-who-knows? has a certain anti-father-anti-son like relationship & you get what?
You get jokes. You get a guffaw or two. You get some mild putdowns. And you get a yawn or two. Otherwise, no (or few...who knows what somebody might post>) similar wrath & indignation posts that a leading POTUS candidate is being religiously smeared.
(Which shows that these FReeper patrol officers aren't really the ultimate defenders of "threats of bigotry," after all...Maybe, just maybe, it only has to do with whether the target has a "D" by their name or an "R"--and whether they got gored by supporting the certain "R"...Can you say two-minded, double-standard, 2-faced & inconsistent?)
how is this post bigotry?
anyway, it should get some put downs, its not like its a “serious” post attacking Obama.
its just a funny way to view a guy that runs around the country speaking like he’s the reincarnation of every great figure since JFK.
Yes, indeed.
LOL!!
I didn't say it was. What I said was we have a FReeper "Bigot Patrol" that likes to go around & accuse others of such a thing...and if they got wound up over a sliver of a similar comment, then this should have been equally provocative to them.
The Anti-Christ came in the 6th century and his followers are living among us. They are called Muslims.
God I love these threads, like kook flypaper...
I had someone just lastnight tell me that he though Obama has a demon inside of him. I didn’t say a word, just listened.
