President George Bush has repeated his belief all religions, "whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God" an assertion that caused outrage among evangelical leaders when he said it in November 2003.
Bush made the statement Friday in an interview with Al Arabiya reporter Elie Nakouzi.
Al Arabiya is Al Jazeerah's top competitor in the Mideast.
As the president and Nakouzi walked from the Oval Office to the Map Room in the White House residence, Nazouki asked, "But I want to tell you and I hope this doesn't bother you at all that in the Islamic world they think that President Bush is an enemy of Islam that he wants to destroy their religion, what they believe in. Is that in any way true, Mr. President?"
"No, it's not," said Bush. "I've heard that, and it just shows [sic] to show a couple of things: One, that the radicals have done a good job of propagandizing. In other words, they've spread the word that this really isn't peaceful people versus radical people or terrorists, this is really about the America not liking Islam.
"Well, first of all, I believe in an Almighty God, and I believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God. That's what I believe. I believe that Islam is a great religion that preaches peace. And I believe people who murder the innocent to achieve political objectives aren't religious people, whether they be a Christian who does that we had a person blow up our blow up a federal building in Oklahoma City who professed to be a Christian, but that's not a Christian act to kill innocent people.

Bush is ignorant of either Christianity, Islam, or both. Islam teaches that Jesus Christ was only a prophet, did not die on the cross, or rise from the dead.
The miraculous virgin birth of Jesus, His divine status as the Son of God and third person of the Holy Trinity, his sinless life, his atoning death on the cross, and his resurrection from the dead are the most basic, fundamental, tenets of historic Christianity, and Islam denies every one of them. Islam teaches that Jesus was a great prophet, but denies that he was the Son of God, that he died on the cross, or that he arose from the dead.
The Apostle John asks the rhetorical question and answers it in 1st Jn 1:22,
"Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son."
IOW the fundamentals of Islam are the lies of Antichrist, aka Satan, and are diametrically opposed to the fundamental truths of Christianity. Both religions can not and do not worship the same deity. I am not saying that Bush is not a Christian himself, I'm simply saying that either he hasn't been taught the fundamental truths of biblical Christianity by his modernistic United Methodist Church denomination or that he doesn't understand the claims and beliefs of Islam and it's blasphemous Koran.
Um... no, they don't.
Statements like Mr. Bush's will get us all killed - or dhimmified.
God is not allah.
Allah is not God.
It's that simple.

Frankly, I can understand why he doesn't want to further ignite a worldwide jihad but he also needs to speak the truth to those engaged in the struggle. Dealing with Islam this is difficult because you are dealing with a quarter of the world's people who are daily living out a Satanic lie. But to prevent the ultimate defeat of our own side, he must first recognize the enemy and name it. We have other Presidents who have done so.
Not all Muslims are our enemy - nor should we wish to make them so. But the fact remains, all are under the same delusion of Mohammad if they are true believers (some aren't). Some can also be reached by the truth. Repeating soothing lies and affirming them in their mistaken beliefs does not ultimately advance our cause.
Islam is not a "religion of peace". There is no historical justification for that view. None. One need only contemplate the relentlessly evil doctrine which has resulted in uncountable millions of victims they have piled up over the centuries in the name of their bloody cult and their false god... The Koran demands perpetual war against all who deny Mahomet as the prophet of God - John Quincy Adams Muhammad's doctrine was violence and lust: to exalt the brutal over the spritual - John Quincy Adams While the merciless dogmas of Muhammad remain there can never be peace upon earth - John Quincy Adams Treachery and violence are taught as principles of Mohamet's religion - John Quincy Adams (Muhammad's) doctrine was violence and lust: to exault the brutal over the spritual - John Quincy Adams

It is important to actually know what our enemies believe. It is knowledge that will enable us to win :)
I just heard a Catholic priest on Fox suggest that if the race came down to Clinton vs Guiliani,
you should vote for the lesser of two evils.
LOL!
Nobody cracked a smile, but I almost fell out of my chair.
Sometimes I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
Then he should keep his mouth shut on the subject. He pandering to the islamics & paving the way for them.
I think the good priest is correct.
Proving for the upteenth time you are unfit for the office you hold.
For the past 13 hundred years, ever since the first Muslim, Islam has waged war on the peoples of all other faiths. The slight reprieve since ww1ish was due entirely to the Wests overwhelming might visa vi Islam. Now that Islam has the wealth (oil) to finance war, there will be continuious war, just like there has been continuious war for (most of) the last 13 hundreds years.
Very sad to see this.
I think less of W now than I ever have.
John Quincy Adams was apparently a man who that understood Islam is the religion of Satan, aka Allah.
It's too bad that our current crop of political "leaders" doesn't have a clue about the monstrous spiritual entity who is worshiped by the deceived Islamics, because the fate of our nation may well depend on their understanding of him and his blasphemous "religion of peace".

What’s wrong with many of you people? I’m just an Objectivist leaning atheist, but even I can understand what he’s referring too. He’s saying that the “One God” is the inspiration behind all religions. Religions are made by men, not by God. Therefore some religions identify God better than others.
You have a lot of company.
Personally, I would not vote for Guiliani or McCain under any circumstances.
When will I finally be able to stop voting for the lesser of two evils?
I am tired of “Vote Republican: We’re Not As Bad As The Ohter Guy!”
Or, “Of course, you’ll vote Republican, where ELSE are you gonna go?”
If God=Allah=Brahman=Bob, I may just return to my old worship of Thor. At least, HE stands up and defends his people.
“Im dismayed that those here in FR cant distinguish between religion and what man does in the name of religion.”
Bingo! Most of these comments are embarrassing...
Where does that leave the Jewish faith? Or do you believe that Jews also do not pray to the same God as Christians?
