Jackson Says Obama Acting Like He’s White
AZCONSERVATIVE ^ | 22 Sep 2007 | John Semmens

Posted on 09/27/2007 1:04:30 PM PDT by John Semmens

The Reverend Jesse Jackson said presidential hopeful Senator Barack Obama (D-Ill) is failing to connect with African-American voters because he appears “too white.”

“We can forgive the fact that he has a white mother,” Jackson said. “But he cannot forget his Black brother. Many African-Americans are part white, so that is not his plight. It’s his behavior that’s the crime. For starters, his sentences don’t rhyme. How does he expect to communicate if he doesn’t harmonically pontificate?”

Jackson also criticized Obama’s lack of interest in the travails of O.J. Simpson. “When an all-American hero is persecuted by police merely because he’s Black, those who would be leaders of the African-American community must strike back,” Jackson argued. “I’m sad to say that Senator Obama has run away.”

Simpson was recently arrested for armed robbery in Las Vegas. Previously, he was tried for the murder of his ex-wife and her friend, Ron Goldman. Although acquitted by a dimwitted jury swayed by the inane poetry of defense lawyer Johnny Cochran, Simpson was later found liable for their deaths in a civil suit filed by Fred Goldman, father of Ron.

“It’s like Les Miserables,” Jackson continued. “O.J. will be hounded until he’s grounded. The senator should take up O.J.’s case if he hopes to gain Black voters’ behind him in his race.”

Oh, AZConservative.

Had me going there....Bro!

“We can forgive the fact that he has a white mother,”
“But he cannot forget his Black brother.
Many African-Americans are part white,
so that is not his plight.
It’s his behavior that’s the crime.

But his face is so white, he could be a mime.

From the article;

“We can forgive the fact that he has a white mother,” Jackson said.

Just think about that line for a moment.

“Jackson also criticized Obama’s lack of interest in the travails of O.J. Simpson. “When an all-American hero is persecuted by police merely because he’s Black, ... “

That is such a stupid statement. Jessie Jackson should be embarrassed.

Excuse my intruding here. I did a search and didn’t see the following posted, but wondered if anyone found the following to be ‘race bating’ by Obama?

‘Call to Renewal’ Keynote Address

For some time now, there has been plenty of talk among pundits and pollsters that the political divide in this country has fallen sharply along religious lines. Indeed, the single biggest “gap” in party affiliation among white Americans today is not between men and women, or those who reside in so-called Red States and those who reside in Blue, but between those who attend church regularly and those who don’t.

It looks like Jesse Jackson is channeling Dr. Seuss on this thread. Perhaps one for your not-a-ping list.

I don't think Jesse Jackson is capable of embarrassment. In fact, I don't think he could get embararassed if he wanted to be. Remember, this is the guy who rubbed his hands into Dr. King's blood and turned "I have a dream" into "I have a scheme."

But he is right about Obama. Obama is white. Not just his mother, but his upbringing by mainly rich, white grandparents in Hawaii. He was two years old when his father left him. Six years later, his mother left his stepfather.

Well Jessie, why dont you beat him half unconscious, and stomp his head with only half your foot?

It's OK he's half white.

Yeah, struck me too....imagine someone saying “We can forgive the fact that he has a black father”.

Wasn’t ‘till I saw your post to me that I realized it was a John Semmens article. He writes satire, so I’m not so sure the quote is true.
