As more and more of his potential supporters learn about Fred Thompson's choice of open borders advocate and pro-Islamist ex-senator and lobbyist Spencer Abraham as his campaign manager, Thompson's luster as th egreat GOP savior has begun to dim precipitously.
Latest to weigh in are Dymphna at Gates of Vienna, Elaine at Aaron's Rod ( who removed all the Blogs For Fred links to her site) and Deb at Right Truth.
And Michelle Malkin also did a short bit with Laura Ingraham on her national show.
As I said in my piece, no one who's serious about winning the War Against Jihad would want a tool like Abraham anywhere near him.Either Thompson was ignorant about Abraham's background, which means he lacks the judgment to be president, or he knew about it and appointed Abraham anyway...which means that no one who's serious about fighting this war or controlling the borders should remotely consider supporting him.
I think we're done with stealth candidates who talk the talk but don't walk the walk.

WHEE!!!!!!! Glad I haven’t emotionally invested in any candidate. I don’t have to worry about defending anyone from any hit piece that comes down the pipe between now and Iowa. I’m more than happy to let all of this sideswiping be hashed out in the primaries.
As a statement of record, I will (and have always intended to) vote for Duncan Hunter in the primaries.
But I’ll be happy to vote for Thompson in the general election, because quite frankly, I don’t see a man like him taking his domestic or foreign policies from anyone in his campaign.
I’m the one taking the photo of the guys with the man crush on Fred. LOL
A hopeless, hapless vanity campaign being run as a stalking-horse fundraiser for the congressional campaign of someone else?
I hope the mods don't see your post, because I want to ping people to view your sliming techniques.
Any observations about Hunter or his family are based upon evidence provided by you and your friends.
By your own admi$$ion, you are very inve$ted, and not just ideologically.
Or Moe, Larry, Curly, and the other brother Larry. I'm not sure which one would be more fun to watch. Comparable results, though.
No, Rudy’s boat was hit hard and listing to port long before FRed joined the fray. However, he is now lining up to deliver the coup de grâce that will send the SS Lib Ship Rudy to the bottom. Hopefully, Hunter, et al, will get their boats out of dry dock in time to join the larger battle against the dreaded ‘Crats of the East.
Are you proud of pissant?
Sent you a freepmail.
My biggest thing is to support as many conservatives as possible, the voters will sort it out. The creampuffs will disappear before the primary in my state [May]. Reagan’s 11th commandment.
Some people not only bash the candidate but go on to bash the candidate’s supporters [Freepers].
That said, Fred is my #1 pick, and I’ve been investigating him thoroughly. I was investingating DH as well, but I quit when all this garbage started being thrown around.
A reporter writes some hit piece and we’re supposed to take it as absolute truth? Reporters never get it wrong /S

Abraham was a consistent advocate of large-scale immigration and worked relentlessly to lessen immigration controls and regulations. In 1997 he received the Defender of the Melting Pot award from the National Council of La Raza

Keep it up.
Oh, yeah—Wikipedia is the last and most factual word on everything—especially on political figures. Good grief—is that the best you can do? How awkward.
Alas, there will be only one viable conservative to beat Rudy McRomney. The question is who will that be. Now it appears it will be Fred. But I plan on helping see that change by january. Hunter is the Reaganite in this race, so help spread the word, Jim.
Does pissant keep count of the negative flips, away from Hunter? I would vote for him in the general election if he gets the nomination but that is just about it.
I have no enthusiasm to support him in any other way, and I was wanting to support every conservative.
And? That's old news (last week). It's also known that he's NOT the campaign manager, won't be running anything, so where's the beef? I'd wager any campaign has people involved who have different views on immigration, the WOT, CFR, whatever. It means nothing.
Yep. I saw all those strong arguments she made for Hunter, didn’t you?
Negative flips away from Hunter are all he has. ;OD
