I just caught the last 30 minutes or so of the Miss Universe pageant which was held in Mexico City. When I turned on the tv, they were down to ten girls including Mexico and USA. The girl from USA actually slipped and landed right on her butt, but made a nice save and finished well. When the judges announced which five would move to the next round, USA was announced and the crowd started booing loudly. I haven't seen the Miss Universe pageant in a long time, but I don't ever remember a crowd booing. I know that an American audience wouldn't have acted in this manner if the roles were reversed.
After the five finalists were announced, and Mexico was not among them, the Mexico City boobirds started started with their boos and chants again.
This utterly classless display reminded me of the time Mexican soccer fans chanted "Osama!Osama!Osama!" in a match against the US.
I, for one, am sick of according respect that isn't reciprocated. I'm not a xenophobe or a nativist, but what's a decent American supposed to feel when he's constantly denigrated by Mexicans? They illegaly come to our country, protest in our streets for "rights" as if they're citizens, and continually try to act like we're the racists -- and we're supposed to just let that roll off our backs?
Mexico disgraced itself tonight (again) in front of the whole world with its classless display. That damn fence can't be built fast enough.
“illegaly” should be “illegally”
No one wants to live in Mexico, including most Mexicans. So what do you expect?
Standard fare from a country of brainwashed slaves who are losers in almost everything in life, except for when it comes to beating the USA in the one important battle—for our country. They want the Un-tied States of America more than we want the Un-tied States of America.
I expect the same respect that we accord them. Is that too much to expect?
Some articles demand intellectual debate, thoughtful analysis and opinion, others outcry. boundaries and just a plain ole' . . . NOW.
Booed then ok’d after pro-Oprah?
I hate to say it — but it’s not just Mexico. The US is pretty much disliked around the world.
(But the Mexicans are classless enough to “boo.” What losers!)
....I was joking....
Whine all ya’ll want about South America
But keep buying from China.
Oh and eat some of the resin food.
God I miss Alan Keyes.
Looks like she also took a fall on stage. That had to just crush her after all that work.
Third World is Third World. Rich or poor, not much difference in behavior.
I seen this. Had just come in from mowing the grass ant the wife just happend to flip to the channel with it on.
But they like taking Gringos money with no problem. This is what we get for giving back there Country. We should have kept Mexico last time we had an Army in Mexico City.
Leave it to a Demacrat.
To heck with the fence. Besides the cost theres just something wrong with a fence around our borders.
Put the Army along the borders shoot a few fence Hoppers Put people in jail who employ them. Give them something to boo about.
Boos for Miss USA After Fall During Miss Universe Competition
Poor girl. The audience was a bunch of savages.
I watched this last night (no heckling, ok).
Here’s my interpretation for what happened last night. Miss Mexico & Miss USA were in the top 10. Then
Miss USA fell completely on her rear when starting to do her cat walk with her evening gown. After the evening gown run, the judges were cutting to the top 5. Then, Miss Mexico was eliminated and Miss USA stayed in the top 5. Honestly, Miss USA should have been booted out after that fall. Miss Mexico did much, much better, and I think prettier. I understood why the Mexicans were upset. Miss USA screwed up big time and still made it in the top 5, while their own got the boot.
But, I agree the heckling showed a lack of class. Also, Miss Mexico could have easily made 1st place and she playing for the home team.
Hopefully you all can understand the full situation.
I remember that soccer match. Combined with this beauty show, it shows along with other acts that Mexico is no friend.
