I will be out of town on Nov. 7, and I voted absentee for the first time in my life....much TOO EASY and scary as to how this absentee voting can affect the outcome in my state (OH), with the closeness of the races.
I voted to make sure I wasn't one who was going to make a political statement that I'm not satisfied with my RINO representation in the Senate, and to thus put a jackass in office instead.

Bump from Western North Carolina, in the Blue Ridge. Even took in the mailer from the Republican Party to vote for the "Republican" judges, who are shown as nonpartisan on the ballot.

Two days ago, I went to the early vote location, found ONE other person in line, and did my duty. Then I went to Kroger to pick up something for dinner and discovered that they were giving flu and pneumonia shots - and again, only one person in line ahead of me, so I got that done, as well. My arm still hurts - but not from voting for Bryson, Corker, Blackburn, and traditional marriage.

Just got back from voting, I'm located north of Dallas.
This is the first time I've voted in Texas, and a couple of things surprised me when comparing the experience to that of voting in California (where I just moved away from):
- They actually asked for an ID or voter registration card. In California, all I ever had to do was sign next to my name on a list of registered voters. I could have been Joe Schmoe and no one would have known. (Hey, that rhymes.)
- Dang, I love that Texas ballot. After the first couple of pages of typical Republican vs. Democrat offices, there were a couple of pages chock full of uncontested candidates or only one candidate for a particular office or position, and ALL of them were 'publicans.
Either this area is as red as I'd hoped or them Diebold machines are running according to plan. ;)
