Tom Kean Jr. attacks Limbaugh over Michael J. Fox's Stem Cell Ad

Tuesday, Mark Levin discussed Tom Kean Jr's comments about Rush Limbaugh.

I'm with Mark. I would rather see the Democrat win the race than a Republican who is that liberal!

(Mountainside, NJ) – U.S. Senate candidate Tom Kean, Jr. released the following statement today regarding recent remarks made by Rush Limbaugh: “I categorically denounce the inappropriate and outrageous claims made by Rush Limbaugh on his radio show today. Parkinson’s is a horrible disease that ravages the human body, and to belittle someone suffering with the disease has no place in politics.

I believe the science of stem cell research holds immeasurable potential that might one day provide a cure for such a horrible disease. The promise of stem cell research is great, and I strongly believe the federal government should fund stem cell research, with a system of comprehensive ethical oversight.”

My mother has Parkinson's disease, and her neurologist says that higher doses of medication causes involuntary movements, like Michael J. Fox has. The condition is called Dyskenesia. My mother does NOT have these spastic movements because the doctors keeps her at a low dosage.

I heard it too. Love the website! New Jersey is a lost cause. I suppose there's some value to having a "Republican" vote for our guys for Senate leadership, but is there really any guarantee that he would even do that? Anyway, by the end of today it's likely that New Jersey will become the same-sex capital of the nation.

The NJGOP only offers me RINO clowns to vote for.

It's like a union.

New Jersey residents, you have my sympathies facing a choice between a crook - Menendez - and a RINO idiot - Kean.

Looks like this jackass managed to misstate the issue. It's embryonic stem cell research. The only reason people fail to make a differentiation is they are ignorant or they're trying to confuse the issue. Either way, this guy doesn't deserve anyone's support.

What's really annoying is that they can't even find an intelligent one.

Considering the conduct of the former governor, I guess that's only appropriate!

Kean will vote for a Republican majority leader and will caucus with the Republicans. That is his value.

A vote for Kean keeps Kennedy from chairing Judiciary. That's why it's important to vote for him, even though you have to hold your nose and close your eyes.

Where oh where does one find " ethical oversight "? These are the same people who had a fit when Congress sought its rightful oversight duty when a county judge allowed unprovable testimony as basis to sentence an innocent gal to death by dehydration and starvation.

Ditto that. It's not as though it's a choice between a RINO and a conservative.

It's better to have someone vote against you 50 percent of the time than 100 percent of the time.

Outrage Over YouTube.com ‘Michael J. Embryo’ Ad
by Scott Ott

(2006-10-25) — Claire McCaskill, the Democrat candidate for U.S. Senate from Missouri, expressed outrage today over a political ad produced in response to a TV commercial run by her campaign featuring actor Michael J. Fox, who has Parkinson’s Disease.

The response ad, entitled ‘Michael J. Embryo’, which quickly became one of the least-played videos on YouTube.com, features a still photo of an infant in the womb with a voiceover apparently recorded by the child himself.

Mrs. McCaskill said her use of a writhing and twitching Mr. Fox to highlight her support of expanded funding for embryonic stem cell research was “fair play”, and simply meant to show that incumbent Sen. Jim Talent “while talking about the importance of family ties, actually wants Alex P. Keaton to suffer and die.”

However, she said the Michael J. Embryo ad “absolutely crosses the line” by using a fetal actor to “stir up the irrational compassion of voters who should never be forced to think about the implications of stem cell research.”

The ScrappleFace Enterprise Institute, a satirical think-tank which produced the response ad, said an earlier version of the spot showed the baby in the womb moving about, sucking its thumb and appearing to yawn, but that was considered “too emotionally charged.”

“We decided to go with the still photo,” said an unnamed Institute spokesman, “because we didn’t want to beat people over the head with the obvious, or give them false hopes that a cure would be found for abortion.”

The spokesman declined requests for ultrasound interviews with the intra-uterine actor, adding that “he’s not a very public person…at least not at this point.”

I have been channel surfing on my radio this morning...and I have to tell you that every single talk show host I have heard...EVEN the sports talk hosts, have gotten what Rush Limbaugh said, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!

Therefore, anything they say their opinion about what Rush said is useless.

I know Mark Levin understood what Rush said, and why he said it...I didn't listen to Sean yesterday, so I don't know...

I listened to Rusty Humphries for a while last night..and he got it...but so far, that is about it.

I think I heard that Laura Ingraham got it wrong on her show yesterday also...

MLF....no wonder politicians can pull the wool over people's eyes...people, even talk show hosts do NOT LISTEN and think about what they are hearing...they just react emotionally most of the time.
