An Open Letter To Rush Limbaugh
Jon Alvarez ^ | 10/23/2006 | Jon Alvarez

Posted on 10/24/2006 5:24:00 AM PDT by Jon Alvarez

Dear Rush:

Pardon my French, but you’re full of s***! As I listened to your show last week, you chose to criticize and attack conservative Americans like myself who feel the Republican Party does not deserve to win in November. Rush, since when did you become such a shill for the GOP? Choosing the party over the base is a very disappointing move to this long time listener. I’m very disappointed in you, Rush Limbaugh, you’ve lost touch with the reality that is life for the common man in America. I heartily recommend you take pause and reconsider your programming strategy. Do you really want to attack those of us on the front lines versus liberalism? Rush, you yourself have become one of the elite of our society. Perhaps I need to give you some perspective, so you can better understand our anger, or at least mine.

Jon, I don't agree with your approach and would rather work in the primaries to get more conservative candidates. Potentially handing victory to the liberals is taking a few too many steps back.

Sorry, I can't seem to find my vitriol generating software, so you'll have to put up with the above post. ;)

Oh please. And bad puns don't make it any more convincing.

If nothing else you will help bring defeat in Iraq. That you are willing to hand the middle east to the islamofascist enemies by allowing for Dem victories, proves that Rush is right.

"Cut and Run" Republicans will make our military efforts worth nothing. I hope they are proud enough to look our finest in the eyes.

>>>You are nuts. Taxes haven't been raised, gay marriage coutrywide has not been legitmized, Bush is going to sign a fence bill, and Iran does not have a friend in the GOP.>>>

So you are a nieghbor to Mr. Alvarez, so you know about his local and state taxes being increased?

Isn't New York governed by a Republican?

No Iam not a neighbot of Mr. Alvarez and thank God, IMO. He sounds like an arrogant crank.

As for New York, maybe local taxes have been raised, but gay marriage has not been legitimized, New York is some 2,000 miles away from the southern border and has no official foreign policy.

Mr. Alvarez's cranky rant was directed towards all the GOP from his little self-absorbed piece of his world.

So, better to stab Caesar for the good of the republic? Politics is warfare. The GOP has the big guns and better generals. Why abandon victory for certain defeat? Principle? Better to be crushed by the party of socialist reform than stand with a party that isn't meeting all of your ideological expectations? Wouldn't advancing your issues by voting in the primaries be the better path rather than waving the white flag and jumping ship. Democracy isn't easy, if you want an idea advanced politically you have to WORK with people to promote it. If enough people feel passionately about the idea, then perhaps a candidate gets elected who advances it.

My apologies for calling you garbage. You are sadly mistaken and should do the intellectually honest thing and actually vote for the Cut&RunoCrats since that is what you will actually be doing. If you really want this Country to pay than you need to vote for the Rats. Thank you for your service.

There is no incumbent. We voted out the successor to the incumbent in the primaries.........where this kind of struggle belongs.

If you want change, you need to work for it. Not just gripe.

Well, I am perfectly content to leave this thread knowing that your ranting was of no avail. Intelligent, thoughtful conservatives are going to be voting Republican on November 7th in spite of your wailing attempts to stop it.

Because intelligent, thoughtful conservatives know that there is a huge difference in the parties, and unlike you, we are not going to knowingly let Marxist traitors take over the country we love....

I would like Mr. Alvarez to explain his anti-military position, since he is a member of the military.

Why does he want us to lose in Iraq?
Why does he want the military gutted (and lose the pay raises that his Commander in Chief got for him)?
Why does he not care if anti-American traitors control our government?

I would like a thorough explanation of how he mixes incompatible positions regarding our U.S. Military.

"(school alone went up 6% from last year=$100 more) and too many people I've spoken with are sharing the pain"

I got military help for school cost and living expenses and I understand that the reserves have schooling benefits too, are you having trouble getting your funding?

"I'm irrational b/c I am unhappy with rising taxes, soon to be gay marriage, open borders, and a nuclear Iran, and since the GOP is doing nothing about any of this, I should continue to support them?"

Are you seriously claiming that the GOP is doing NOTHING about these issues? You are truly dilusional.

"my taxes have gone up, period."

Really? I am very doubtful that your Federal tax bill has increased, unless of course you have been able to improve your income to the next bracket.

It was not my intent to stop or change anyone's vote. I was merely expressing my discontent and frustration with MY republican leaders and how I will vote.

You need to up your meds for crying out loud. There ARE no boogeymen. Keep repeating that.

My son is in college and gets significant financial help from the Army (he's a Reservist too).

Perhaps Jon hasn't thoroughly investigated the options?

having the President go through impeachment proceedings helps us at all.

Never going to happen no matter who is elected.

But it does serve a purpose, it gives the GOP a fear tactic to use against the gullible in their party.

(Which is a lot of them now that I think about it)
