World to end on August 22nd
8-13-2006 The Infidel Sage

Just in case you didn't know. And I have absolutely nothing to wear. The recent disrupted London based terrorist plot seems to fit suspiciously well as far as timing is concerned or it may have all been a coincidence. The long awaited 'other shoe' has not yet dropped, but I have to admit the Dark Lords of the Shia have been making me nervous lately with their veiled threats and mutterings and the other brand of militant Islam represented by the Al Qaeda always hates to be left out as well. One never knows for sure what's going to happen and when it comes to crackpots and murderous fanatics, the crystal ball is hazy at best.
There has been a lot of speculation throughout the internet but this Infidel may be a Sage but is a hesitant prophet. Could there be something be brewing? Absolutely. Will a world war break out on Tuesday? I doubt it. But I'll top of the gas tanks just in case. More here: Opinion Journal's August 22 Does Iran have something in store? . A couple of large FReeRepublic posts here, here and here. And FrontPageMagazine's Iran's Day of Terror?, and NewsMax's Iran Hints at Aug. 22 Doomsday for Israel.
"In Islam, as in Judaism and Christianity," the professor writes, "there are certain beliefs concerning the cosmic struggle at the end of time - Gog and Magog, anti-Christ, Armageddon, and for Shiite Muslims, the long-awaited return of the Hidden Imam, ending in the final victory of the forces of good over evil, however these may be defined.
"Mr Ahmadinejad [the Iranian president] and his followers clearly believe that this time is now, and that the terminal struggle has already begun and is indeed well advanced. It may even have a date, indicated by several references by the Iranian president to giving his final answer to the US about nuclear development by August 22. This was at first reported as 'by the end of August', but Mr Ahmadinejad's statement was more precise."
Do not forget everyone must be wearing clean underwear too!!!
Well, dang it, I was just going to go to the store in my pajamas to buy some things..I mean it's not like people in town will be able to gossip about it for very long..tick, tick, tick...
Was there a Y2K live thread on FR, back in 1999? Just curious.
You gotta admit this is a sign of the end times.
'And no Monday morning skidmarking!'
Forgot to ping you on the rehash of your thread.
All the more reason to vamp it out!
Well, don't come to me complaining aboiut the quality of your 72 virgins, then.
Before my time here on FR. I sort of watched off and on the round the world new years special with Peter Jennings on ABC
Yeo, that's the theme song for this thread ... do you think Stanley Kubrick is sitting up there directing?
Checking in... 9:05am EST, Monday 8.21.06
Plenty of water, food, guns and ammo. Ready for it...
Always thought the way to go out in style would be with a nice Bob Fosse number.
what are you wearing?
Dang, you're being all creative and hip, and I'm just wondering if I have to clean the cat's litter box before the commencing of the great conflagration of 2006.
LOL LOL
Good thing I have one more day!
"End of the World Live Thread!"
Thanks for this! This is the funniest title I have seen all day!
Jazzhands, baby.
Anyway - Genesis (My choice of end of the world music!)
All the pumping's nearly over for my sweetheart,
This is the one for me,
Time to meet the chef,
Oh boy! The running ma s out of death.
Feel cold and old, its getting hard to catch my breath.
Its back to ash, "now, you've had your flash boy"
The rocks, in time, compress
your blood to oil,
your flesh to coal,
enrich the soil,
not everybody's goal.
Anyway, they say she comes on a pale horse,
But I'm sure I hear a train.
Oh boy! I don't even feel no pain
I guess I must be driving myself insane.
Damn it all! Does earth plug a hole in heaven,
Or heaven plug a hole in earth - "how wonderful to be so profound,
when everything you are is dying underground."
I feel the pull on the rope, let me off at the rainbow.
I could have been exploded in space
Different orbits for my bones
Not me, just quietly buried in stones,
Keep the deadline open with my maker!
See me stretch; for God's elastic acre
The door bell rings and it's
"Good morning Rael
So sorry you had to wait.
It won't be long, yeah!
She's very rarely late."
