I'm not nearly as concerned with voting for the "winning side" as I am about doing the right thing. I'm sure there are plenty of republicans who would prefer that I sit this election out but I'm not going to do that either.

One trick ponies do not even get nominated in the GOP.

And third party candidates don't win the presidency.

Did someone mention the collapse of the Roman empire?

Of the handful of notable politicians I've met and talked to at length Tom Tancredo is the only one who didn't set off the "Spider-Sense" warning of impending danger. He's totally grounded in the higher principles of Catholic moral values while recognizing that the Church's pushing for amnesty is just plain wrong - he's an American before anything else.

More importantly, I realized that he was living closer to his convictions far closer than I was abiding to mine, which mandated a self-review and shoring up. How many people can say they met a person in the political field who's faith and struggle for goodness inspired them to get more right with God?

I'll be writing him into the Primary (again) if his name isn't on the ballot.

He looks every bit as 'Presidential' as does George Bush, even more so...

I had the opportunity to hear Rep. Tancredo speak over a year ago and found him to be very down to earth, well spoken...very "likeable" to say the least.
He stated that he would run only if no one else that was more "well-known" picked up the Border/Illegal issue and ran with it. He said, jokingly, he was too old, fat, and bald to run for President...I think he'd do fine!

It's good he's in there to press the border issue among all the candidates.
Without him in the mix, I bet the rest of the candidates would be pretty close to quite about the issue.

On FreeRepublic, they're just a whiney minority that are funny to look at

LOL! It's you tancredoites who are the whiny minority, the only reason you guys think you have "power" is because of the echo chamber you live in.

BTW, when is World Nut Daily going to do actual articles instead of book pimping for tom tancredo.

It is ironic that Free Republic, one of the examples of the new media, actually engages in bias against other members of the new media (bloggers) by relegating threads from a blog source to the blogger/personal wastelands. Of note is the fact that WorldNetDaily, the source of this thread, is NOT a blog.

Aren't you the one who also had a thread title changed by a moderator recently? It pains me to say it, because for the five years that I've been a freeper, the moderating has been second to none, but it has really gotten atrocious lately.
