Distressed at National Guard suicide rates 20 percent higher than the general population, Senator Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) called for remedial action. "Impressionable and confused young people are killing themselves at alarming rates," said Clinton. "We cannot sit idly by without doing something."
Clinton speculated that the easy access to deadly weapons lies behind these suicides. "These National Guards have loaded guns in their hands!" Clinton screeched. "This is unsafe." Clinton proposed that National Guard weapons be fitted with trigger locks to which only unit commanders would have keys.
The suicide rate for National Guard troops was 13 per 100,000 last year vs. 11 per 100,000 for the general population in America.

Say Hillary, Why don't you "Take aim" at Balancing the Budget or something more properly your duty as a US Senator instead of being a grandstanding PR fool?

Man, who says this woman is some political genius? She's a celebrity no one would know if it wasn't for who she married, and no one would have voted for if in our bizarre culture we don't see being cheated on (within a strange marriage gone into with eyes open) as deseving special honors. She ran as a liberal in a liberal state (mostly concentrated in one area but still...) against an empty suit. Sounds more like luck to me.
As in this instance, she flails around clumsily and just looks silly much of the time.

It was probably those kids who think work is a 4 letter word that voted for her. ;)

One of the side effects of war is when somebody dies who was possessed with demons (which I am sure many terrorists are), those demons look for another body to inhabit. If your not a prayed up Christian, there is a chance that the demon(s) may try to take up residence in you. That is what I believe may be causing this, along with Gulf War syndrome, and other mysterious illnesses and behavior.

Arms Room anyone?

She's running that "wired for internet" scam again. This time she wants 15,000 homes (for her closet friends) with broadband. So who needs Hillary for that? Just call the phone co.

Wasn't the military suicide rate higher during the late 90's when her husband allowed military pay to fall way behind the civilian sector and deployments to skyrocket?
At an 2 additional suicides per 100,000 I believe she is talking about 1 or 2 Guardsman at current deployment levels. While this terrible, the Senator could save more lives by cleaning up the DNC controlled inner cities.

If Hillary Clinton becomes Commandear-in-Chief, our troops will also march proudly with their new & improved rifles. The USA will gain new respect throughout the World--- the respect it lost during the Bush Administration.
[sarc, just in case...]

If only his weapon had a trigger lock and the SecDef had held the keys...

Hillary should take aim at the suicide rate among deputy White House counsels in the Clinton White House
