DURHAM - The father of the accuser in the rape case involving Duke University lacrosse players said his daughter was raped with a broomstick during a party last month, and that explains defense lawyers' claims that no DNA from players was found on her.
The woman's father, appearing on MSNBC's "Rita Cosby Live & Direct" Tuesday night, said his daughter told him that when three team members raped and sodomized her, they also used a broom.

Virtually all of them said it was for the sex.
I'm sure some Freeper into FBI reports on rape can find that one. It's been several years now, but it was a hot item on all the news.alt threads for a long time.
There's the key question right there. I'm a little disappointed that it took FReepers until post 30 to get to that one.
Good job.
THere's also "9.... any other items identifying player 41." And also "1 any clothing.....".
Remember, a warrant is not required to follow any sort of template that lays out precise language for all elements. It merely needs to describe the items or persons subject to seizure.
While you and I might argue about whether or not a Lacrosse stick was "clothing", they do carry them with them when on the field.
If a motion were filed to exclude a lacrosse stick as evidence because it had not been seized pursuant to a warrant, I doubt that it would get very far in this case.
If there was a broomstick involved the stripper would have told the DA and they wouldn't have had to order DNA testing on al the boys because they'd have known beforehand it'd come up blank.
This story is getting more ridiculous.
That's a big stretch, especially when they were specifically looking for many other things.
If there were a broomstick involved in the initial accusations, you can bet it would have been specifically identified as one of the first 2-3 items.
It's not like this thing just showed up this week.
Wonder if there's another warrant out there we don't know about.
Once you get a shot at their depositions, you might not think the story was as ridiculous as you now believe ~ could be even nuttier ~ could be a different story entirely.
I think we need to hear from the witnesses, not just a couple of defense lawyers.
Link? Because I've been following this since early on, and the broomstick stuff just came up in the last couple of weeks.
If you have a minute, take a look at 30-62-64-66-67-70.
Any comments?
Just search for "BROOM".
What's your excuse for why the broomstick didn't show up in the warrants issued two weeks ago for Collin and Reade's dorm room?
There is NOT broomstick rape.
Ridiculous.
Late comers to this story are falling for the press hype.
There is NO BROOM, period.
That is from a piece referenced to: ABC11TV.COM.
Lots of things have come from there.
That story was posted on March 29, 2006 by a really weired poster who goes by the name of HOWLIN. But I don't know ~ maybe he's recanted or something by now.
Your typical uninitiated stripper might well not know the difference between a broom stick and a lacrosse stick.
Lest there be any confusion in the matter, I posted a picture of a young lady waving about her lacrosse stick just a few posts back.
I don't care what the news station says.
There is no broom rape.
They are NOT charged with SODOMY, understand?
"Rape" is rape. "Sodomy" is a technique.
