Yall want to hear somethin funny? I recently had a revelation. I dont have to vote Republican. In fact, Im leaning towards voting straight Dem in the Fall. Once the Republicans get done #### up immigration reform, so that we have full amnesty coupled with no enforcement and greatly increased illegal immigrant rights, I think Ill be done voting for them for a while.
You summed it up nicely.
"Vote Democrat! At least they aren't RINOs who are not sealing the borders"
ummm..dems want borders locked in the OPEN position.
Thats what gets me about allot I am reading on here these days from n00bs.
Thak you. Thank you very much.
I know have the term SPAZ running loose in my coconut. Word For The Day.
If RINOs don't count, you can throw out the president, all the senate Rs, and many Rs in the house.
What makes me "sick", and angers me, is the people who are so casual about their privilege to vote that they would dishonor the sacrifices and the lives given to grant them that freedom by abusing the privilege.
My loyalty is not to a politician or to a political party, but to the Founding Documents that make us who we are as a nation.
Common sense tells me that I'll have to vote for the persons who most closely represent those ideals AND who have the most likely chance of winning the election.
I fail to see the logic or wisdom in refusing to vote, or in voting for the Democrat Party that now clearly opposes almost everything for which I stand, in order to "teach a lesson" to the Republican Party which espouses more of the ideals I hold, yet has members who sometimes fail to meet my expectations.
One thought of that hate-filled pack of anti-everything that I stand for Leftists sitting as heads of committees that control the destiny of this country is a lesson I'm not willing to teach for vengeance, or for any other reason.
President Bush has disappointed me on some subjects, but he's done a stellar job on others (We haven't had another terrorist attack or been suitcase nuked, his tax cuts which have kept the economy cooking have put thousands more dollars back into my pockets in the past two years...now just make them permanent...and his two placements on the SCOTUS were awesome, with maybe one more to come.) He's less of a conservative than I would like him to be, but there has never been a President conservative enough on all the issues for me. And in reality, there should be some give and take, or the system doesn't work. :)
However, I'd still like an answer to who you see as "power hungry" of the Republicans that we have. How much more power can we amass? We own the White House, the House and the Senate. We have 28 Republican Governors, versus 22 Dimowit Governors.
The House and Senate have a 98% INCUMBANCY re-election rating. I don't see any major upsets in favor of the Dims in the coming elections. If anything, we'll have even more seats and more Republican governorships come '06 and '08.
I think you're watching too much doom & gloom media, and possibly expecting more than ANY President could ever deliver to the American people. :)
