Katie Holmes Agrees Motherly Contact With Infant Is Bad
Katie Holmes has been banned from speaking to her baby for a week after it is born, it has been reported. The pregnant actress has agreed not to talk to her new arrival, believed to be a girl, for at least seven days after she has entered the world, in accordance with fiancé Tom Cruise's Scientology beliefs.
Katie, who is due to give birth any day, has already promised Tom she will deliver the child in complete silence, and she will also have very little contact afterwards.
A source told Closer magazine: "Katie respects Tom's dedication to Scientology. She is devoted to him and wants to bring up the child the Scientology way."
L. Ron Hubbard - the founder of the strange sci-fi cult - writes in the religion's creed, that all followers must live by, that new born babies must not hear their mother speak for a week so they will not associate their voice with the trauma of birth.
The creed also states that immediately after leaving the safety of the womb the baby should "be wrapped somewhat tightly in a warm blanket, very soft, and then left alone for a day or so" and no medical examinations must take place within the first week of the baby's life.
How wonderfully naive.
God, I hope Tom's new movie goes Ishtar.
Wrong. Katie has sold her soul and that of her child for ever agreeing to this Scientology crap. At the very least she's under the spell of their cult.
Check the tagline!
Yes, you seem to be.
This is a cult technique designed to seperate the baby from its parents.
Your reply didn't make any sense.
Thats not a real baby!!!!!
This is just plain old SICK!
I'm predicting a speedy breakup and a nasty custody fight played out for the world to see. Any idiot knows that it's never good to attempt to control the relationship between a mother and her child.
This bizarre ritual is a potential gateway to attachment disorder for the child. It is incredible what a newborn child's terror and confusion and hopeless search for "Mom's voice" (which it has heard for months) can do to a child's later emotional health.
The symptoms show up sometimes many years later.
This is not hoo ha. I speak from personal experience. I have have raised and continue to raise children affected by "The Primal Wound"

It is tragic that this happens to some kids when children's bonds with birthmother are severed, even if immediately replaced by adoptive parents' love. But to think of a cult actively inflicting this emotionally disruptive practice on their own much wanted children ...is absurd. It IS a form of child abuse.
All I can think is sadness that Katie Holmes has subjugated all natural maternal instincts, succumbed to the Stockholm syndrome with these weird people, and is in for a roller coaster life with this nutjob cult.
Child abandonment is a criminal offense. These people are actually admitting to considering these practices prior to delivery? Is there anything on the books to charging folks with child abuse before his birth? This is COMPLETELY nutso.
That poor stupid girl.

Ignore it, pls. I had 2 IE windows for FR open. I thought I was replying to another post, different thread.
Tom Cruise has probably done more damage to Scientology during this pregnancy than anyone has before.
Someone should kidnap Katie Holmes and save her from this lunatic.
