That makes NO sense at all. The baby has been listening to its mothers voice for a couple months now, that is one of the things that it KNOWS and is CONSTANT in its life. NOT talking to it is going to make it feel like it has NOTHING familiar around it. This is IDIOCY! WTF does Hubbard know about Newborns anyway? Does that idiot even know how to change a diaper? I bet not. Fools following fools like Lemmings. I feel so sorry for that poor baby and for Katie who is clearly too young to know any better.

I dont feel sorry for Katie. "Too young" is not an excuse. She is 27 years old!!!!

Lets call her what she is - an IDIOT.

The evil side of me would LOVE to somehow secrete a speaker and some flashing lights into the "Silent Birth Room", and just as Katie is delivering, hit the lights and blare out:

I, Xenu, am here to claim this one as my own !!!

The creed also states that immediately after leaving the safety of the womb the baby should "be wrapped somewhat tightly in a warm blanket, very soft, and then left alone for a day or so" and no medical examinations must take place within the first week of the baby's life.

This is what gets me, more than not talking to the baby. I can understand the blanket thing, and that's good, but leaving the baby alone, and no medical examinations for a week? This baby could have issues that could cause death if not examined, are these people so far nutso that they don't have common sense? My baby had meningitis a week after it was born and needed hospital care for 2 weeks.

**shaking head** I just don't get it....
