Wow, can I relate to this story. I am 1 year younger than the author, and I too had the Cassidy hair style. Parted down the middle, feathered on the side, but he forgot to add the little "flip" in the back. Thought I was the coolest.
Dad hated it, he wanted me in a crew cut til I started college, but Mom let me grow it long "IF" I kept it clean and neat, and that meant me paying for it.
Needless to say it didn't last long. Dad's crew cuts were free!

I'm sick and tired of the boomers imposing their trends, their ideas and their fashions on me. At least their music features real musicians and singers with talent.
Rap is total cr@p and even worse at a concert.
One person who can't sing usually has 5 others who can't sing come out and all sing at once to sound like dogs howling in a trash can.
