A German court has sentenced a man to a one year suspended sentence for trying to sell toilet paper with the word 'koran' on it to mosques. In an accompanying letter the 61 year old Manfred van H called the koran a 'terrorists cookbook'. The court found him guilty of insulting the islamic belief and of disturbing the public order.
Van H sent the toilet paper to fifteen mosques, tv stations, and magazines. With the profits Van H wanted to erect a monument to those that have died at the hands of islamic terror. Iran complained to the German ministry for foreign affairs about the initiative of Van H. The German public prosecutor said Van H was being provocative.
Sorry, trying to disturb public peace is a crime. You insult someone, you can go to jail. You burn our flag in public here, you can go to jail. You insult a foreign leader who is in our country as a guest, you can go to jail. You deny the holocaust or make the Nazi salute in public, you can go to jail. That´s what we call restricted freedom of speech. Have fun!
Oh, and if a Muslim had done the same with the bible, he´d get the same conviction.
That ought to be good for at least a few burned embassies.
Well, in that case I won't post the pictures of the Budweiser on the Q'uran or the pork sandwich on the Q'uran.
For Jewish symbols sure, but I don´t recall that Muslims have ever attacked Christian symbols here. They still don´t dare that.
