DUmmie FUnnies Year In Review (List Your Favorite DUFUs)
DUmmie FUnnies | December 21, 2005 | PJ-Comix

Posted on 12/22/2005 4:20:44 PM PST by PJ-Comix

When Charles Henrickson suggested earlier today that I do a DUmmie FUnnies Year In Review featuring the Best of the DUmmie FUnnies for the past year, my first reaction was one of a weary groan. The reason is that I am filling in on some business for a friend so he can take a vacation this week. Little did I know when I made the committment that I would end up sleep deprived and EXHAUSTED. Thus my hestitation to take up the DUmmie FUnnies Year In Review project.

However, my SECOND thought is that this is a great way to get YOU all to do the work. Yes, it is up to all of YOU to list (with links) your favorite DUFU editions with selected DUmmie quotes. This way all of you can participate. Also I can get some rest until the regular DUFU editions start next Monday.

What are you talking about? FR is life! Compare it to your co-workers, the folks in the express line with 30 items, the people stuck in traffic around you, the talking heads in the MSM!

Merry Christmas!

I guess that, for me, I would have to go with any of the revelations of the "I Believe" threads that had DUers absolutely convinced that Kerry would be inaugurated rather than the elected President, George W. Bush.

Yes, the post election threads were the best. Esp all the Diebold conspiracy noise & Bev Harris solicitations.

"We're just $10 away from overturning the election" LMAO.

Pitts fantasy of pulling a Martin Luther and pinning his decree to the front door of the white house was pretty good.

Oh, and anything with the DSM and the DUmmies frustration at the stupidity of Americans, and their threads about fitzmas

DUmmie FUnnies 10-26-04 (DUmmie Promises to LEAVE the USA)

I have been planning to leave the United States since before the 2000 election. I plan to leave still, even if Kerry is elected. It is not an easy task to emigrate legally, but I am working hard at it. There are many reasons for this, but cowardice is not one. Here are some of the highlights:

[I’ll tell you what. I’ll read your stupid reasons for leaving if you promise to LEAVE.]

1. My partner is Arab-American. Not only do I not want to see her "disappeared"; we are both sick of giving money to the government to kill her people. Worse, she is of draftable age. We can't stomach contributing any more to a racist war against ourselves.

[Uh…First of all there WON’T be a draft and secondly they won’t be drafting women. But don’t let that keep you from LEAVING.]

2. I am a scholar and an artist. I can't walk two steps in this country without being denigrated for my chosen work and identity. This has not changed since I was in grade school. Almost every other country in the world respects the arts and learning more than America does. I think I will have a more interesting career overseas, and anything that my work could do to "help" America could be done from anywhere.

[What? Do you wear a sign that says “Scholar and Artist”? Okay, so we don’t respect you wonderful scholars and artists who just want to enlighten us…Now will you LEAVE!!??]

3. American architecture has become ugly, most of the entertainment is insipid, and the food absolutely hideous. Go ahead and disagree; it won't change my taste.

[Yeah, yeah, yeah. Mickey Ds architecture sucks and their Big Macs taste horrible. Great reasons for you to LEAVE.]

4. I don't like sports, and I don't feel I should be stigmatized for this in employment and social situations.

[Overseas you will be stigmatized for not liking soccer, sh0rtbus. But don’t let that stop you…LEAVE!!!]

Should I go on?

Here's to one of the funnier DUmmie FUnnies, thanks PJ, and here's also to hoping he left. BWAHAHAHAHA!!

From 'I cried my way into work today'

"Last week I ordered an import CD of the music of "Donovan" and today I played it in my car for the first time in 30 years on way to work. It warmed my heart to hear his soothing voice but then, as he began the first refrain of "Catch the Wind" -- I completely lost it. His words reminded me of time of purity in my life. I started blubbering like an old fool... all the way from the bottom of my stomach... the tears kept coming and I couldn't stop them. It was as if God had just touched my shoulder to remind me of who I am and how far I had strayed from my original dreams."

I must be a mean spirited person because this made me howl with laughter!
