LOL, that should be a hoot!

The commentary idea sounds great, but it's too bad you couldn't get some folks to lend their voices to read the parts of the DUmmies (with appropriate whining, of course ;)

Good luck, and I'll be sure to "tune in".

And they still haven't proven * is not a deserter

The onus probationis--a little Latin lingo there for those of you in DUmmieland--the "burden of proof" is on the ACCUSER.

On the other hand, it has been well proven what Bill Clinton is, relative to military service.

Thanks. I knew that, I was just giving Buckhead his props.

DU proved her right.

This, from the same people who brought us AndyScam.

Not meaning to cast doubt in your mind about your friend, whom I do not know. The thought just crossed my mind, and I thought I would ask, since I have only ever bought retail.

It has been proved to the satisfaction of DU that the docs were legit. . . .

There is MUCH more evidence that BOTH President Clinton and President Bush were given intelligence as to Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq--more evidence of that than there is of the legitmacy of those faxed memos.

She was dumber than a box of rocks

C'mon now, that's not fair. Mary's not dumber than a box of rocks. Two boxes, maybe. . . .

Burkett provides CBS with the name of the person he claims were the memos' source, a former National Guard buddy of his named George Conn.

"George Conn." That's what it was, wasn't it?

The secretary said the story was probably true. It's just the piece of paper it was typed on that was in doubt.

Well, that settles it, then, doesn't it?

Mary Mapes fails for some unfathomable reason to call the alleged source to verify Burkett's story.

Oh, I think the reason is very fathomable: Mary WANTED the story to be true.

Burkett changes his story to say that his actual source was really somebody else, a person named "Lucy Ramirez".

And "Lucy" then PULLED THE FOOTBALL OUT ON YOU!

Ahahahahahahaha!

Mary Mapes is a joke. And the DUmmies still don't get it.

The gift that keeps on giving... I hope she does a world tour.

Mary Mapes could have prevented this monumental embarrassment to CBS News simply by adhering to basic high school journalism standards. . . .

Instead, Mary adhered to professional smear job standards.

She fell for the oldest Rovian trick in the book: using bogus documents... ... to "debunk" a real story.

The memo was . . .

A PERFECT ROVIAN FORM!

Funny about this "story", was that I tried to get as close to the original "fake but accurate" document with a 70s. model typewriter and there was no way that document even fit onto the same page.

I tried every different IBM ball (now that tells my age) and not one came even close to the "fake but accurate" See BS had on that edition of 60 minutes of shame and FR fame.

" A friend of mine is building one according to my specs (needed for a Podcast) next week."

I've found that over the last couple of years that I can buy a good computer from Dell way cheaper than I can build one.

I built one anyway. It has neon lights, plexiglass panel, 7 fans, 2 gigs of RAM and a 9800 video card. Completely unnecessary bells and whistles are lots of fun.

They can't seem to get their delusional conspiracy theory straight. Either it was a Republican (Rove) who put obviously fake documents out there to make the MSM look foolish, or the documents are real and were typed on a yet to be named super duper bottle rocket flash in the pants secret typewriter... Well ding dongs, which is it? Get your delusion straight.
