Hi everybody! Since I have a registered Democrat vigorously working a pedal cycle emergency generator, I have only a few minutes to make this update. As you know almost all of Broward County was thrown out of commission due to Hurricane Wilma. About half the country now has electricity (my half doesn't). However, I expect to be back to FULL SCALE DUFUing soon.
Oh, and I never realized life could be so BOOORING without electricity which is why I plan on putting in an all-nighter over at the Hard Rock Casino tonight. I would have love to have DUFUed the DUmmies throwing Fitz over Fitz but what can you do when Mother Nature gets in the way.

One fringe benefit of this hurricane is that computer prices locally should be discounted due to overstock since most of them haven't moved out of the stores for a couple of weeks. Will DEFINITELY be buying a NEW computer as soon as the electric is back in operation.

Well, P-J, have you ever considered moving out of Florida, to a place more fit for human habitation?
Trust me; "cold weather" a few months a year beats having to leave home half the time because of hurricanes.
You were missed; glad to see you coming back.

Have you looked into investing in a generator too? ;-)

Yay! Light at the end of a tunnel! Glad you're okay, PJ, but I'll have to tell you, going without DUFUs is the closest I ever want to get to any other kind of withdrawal syndrome. It's brutal.

Oh, and I never realized life could be so BOOORING without electricity which is why I plan on putting in an all-nighter over at the Hard Rock Casino tonight. I'm convinced that frozen drinks are popular in South Florida due to people looking for a way to cope with the hurricane season. The heat might have something to do with it, but I am going with that hurricane thing.

Trust me; "cold weather" a few months a year beats having to leave home half the time because of hurricanes. My first 10 years is the tropics/subtropics, I was affected by only THREE hurricanes total. In just the past year I felt the effects of SEVEN hurricanes. Believe me, this is NOT NORMAL. Normal is going for YEARS without even feeling so much as a breeze from a hurricane.
BTW, if you remember I had sort of a premonition of us being hit by a hurricane this year when I gave my reasons for procratinating on getting another computer. As soon as the electric is back I am making a beeline for the electronics store to buy one.
