For California's 48th District U.S. House Representative special election, can anyone provide me with some information on my prospective opponent "Minuteman" Jim Gilchrist?" What is his stance on the Iraq War?
I for one firmly support our operation in Iraq! The enclosed link discusses more on this question that I have presented. Please read!
J. Scott Davis
How come your name isn't on the ballot?
I asked you this question on the other thread, and you didn't see fit to respond.
What is your point?
Uhmm...my point is that people who claim to be running for Congress should be found somewhere on the list of qualified candidates.
You're not.
Why is that?
Are you working for his opponent, as I've read?
This guy isn't even a candidate. The ballot qualification deadline was a week ago, and his name isn't on it.
Hell, how come he spends ALL his time in this campaign attacking a third party candidate if he's supposedly seeking the REPUBLICAN nomination? The people voting in the PRIMARY election WON'T be choosing between J. Scott Davis and Jim Gilchrist.
Earth to Mr. Davis... I know you're salivating at the thought of running against Jim Gilchrist in the GENERAL election, but in order to do so, you MUST WIN YOUR party's nomination in the PRIMARY first (unless you also plan on jumping ship to a third party)
Assuming you somehow magically get on the ballot as a REPUBLICAN in October, You WILL NOT BE RUNNING AGAINST JIM GILCHRIST -- instead REPUBLICAN votes will choose between you, Marilyn Brewer, John Campbell, David Crouch, John Kelly, Scott MacCabe, Guy Mailly, Marsha Morris, Marshall Samuel Sanders, Edward Suppe, and Don Udall. THOSE are your SOLE opponents and -- ONLY by beating them can you face off against "Jim Gilchrist" in a GENERAL ELECTION situation where voters can CHOOSE between the two of you.
Please explain to primary voters why YOU are better than the other 10 Republicans all seeking the party's nomination. You can do that, right?
That makes two of them.
I asked a simple question, I guess you don't have a simple answer.
