Michael Moore is fat (enters Pritikin fat farm)

Michael Moore has enrolled in a $3,800 per week fat farm - the Pritikin Longevity Center and Spa in Aventura, Florida - in an attempt to lose weight.
Moore is reportedly aiming to lose 12 pounds during the first three weeks, though somebody should inform him that 12 pounds is pretty worthless when you already weigh 300 pounds. I admire that he's not going the route of liposuction, but I really doubt that fat bastard has what it takes to lose weight the natural way. What he should be more concerned about doing is shaving that horrible excuse for facial hair he has going on. When you can throw down $3,800 per week at a spa, it'd be nice if you could look slightly more presentable than the homeless man who lives in the subway.

Well, if he does manage to go from 300 lbs to a healthy 170, what's all that leftover skin gonna look like? Good thing we'll never have to see that...

Is it possible that he could lose 12 pounds just by shaving?

I used to be in great shape. But after several years of health problems and numerous surgical procedures, to include lumbar fusion at four levels, I was a mess. At 5'9" and age 66 with severe loss of muscle mass, I was up to 233 pounds, of FAT.
Six months ago I decided enough was enough, and did something about it. I am now down to 180 lbs. and my goal is 160. I dropped my calorie intake down to 1200 per day and started out with light exercises and slow walks.
I now work out at home with free weights (insuring to keep back out of compression) on a Gold's Gym XR5 exercise center and walk very fast for 40 minutes a day.
My doctor has been amazed, I have gone from 13 prescription drugs, to none. Just one example, my blood pressure when on meds was 195 over 120, today, no meds, and it is 132 over 70.
Aside from vitamin & nutrient supplements, I haven't changed what I eat, I just eat a hell lot less of it.

Your story sounds a lot like me and is inspirational to one who is attempting a comeback. It's wonderful what you accomplished.
