15% of the female students at Timken High School in Canton Ohio are pregnant. That means that almost 1 in 5 female students is expecting!

I'd also be interested in Canton South High School's stats...as well as Massillon.

Actually, I'd really be interested in the stats for AKRON's high schools!!! Especially Central-Hower, Garfield, and Buchtel.

Bad reporting skills and bad math skills.
65/490 = .13265 or 13.27% (not really 15%) So, how close is this to "almost 1 in 5"? Well divide 1 by .13265 and you get 7.53846. Therefore, you could honestly say "that means that more than 1 in 8 female students..." or "that means that nearly 1 in 7 female students..." but to say "almost 1 in 5 female students..." is downright dishonest.

That might have been too harsh. It might be just downright lazy rather than dishonest.

It may be even lower. But 20 sounds about the right place to put the over/under on that betting line.

Ummm, 15% is more like 1 in 6 than 1 in 5. I guess they don't know math either. They should know the percentage of 1 in 6 from doing random probability, and everyone knows that's how teen girls get pregnant: randomly.
