DUmmie FUnnies 06-17-05 ("DUrbin is NOT APOLOGIZING!!!!")
DUmmie FUnnies ^ | June 17, 2005 | DUmmies and PJ-Comix

Posted on 06/17/2005 4:15:20 PM PDT by PJ-Comix

Once again it looks like the Democrats are well on their way to committing political suicide. This time the self-inflicted wound has been performed by Senator Dick DUrbin of Illinois who has accused the USA of severe mistreatment of the poor Guantanamo prisoners and then compared such “torture” to that practiced by the Nazis or the Soviets in their Gulags. Yes, pity the poor Gitmo prisoners freezing in 68 degree air conditioning and being stuffed with primo food. If prisoners of the Nazis or the Soviets “suffered” such treatment for just 10 minutes they would have thought they went to heaven. Of course the biggest cheerleaders of DUrbin are none other than the DUmmies as you can see in this THREAD titled, “DUrbin is NOT APOLOGIZING!!!!” So let us now watch the DUmmies sink the Democrats in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, shocked at the Rice Pilaf torture of the Gitmo prisoners, is in the [brackets]:

DUrbin is NOT APOLOGIZING!!!! He is ripping them up, call to thank him

[Thank you Senator DUrbin for ensuring that the Democrats will be losing plenty of seats in the next election thanks to your absurd comments.]

Oh man, it great, putting the FBI Document in context, talking about the torture and how it was approved by this adminstration.

[“Please stop torturing me with having to make a choice between eating glazed chicken or sirloin steak!”]

He is not going to take back calling them NAZIs!! WOO HOO!

[WOO! HOO! Kiss any chance of Democrats gaining seats in 2006 goodbye!]

He's gonna get a lot of angry calls from freepers, they make sure to let their asshole voices be known, call Durbin to counter that shit, let him know that you like what he is saying, you approve and that you support him.

[Thank you, Senator DUrbin for making your fellow Democrats unelectable!]

Yay Dems with balls! I f*cking love it!!!

[Those Dems with balls will soon be bouncing off padded cell walls.]

This guy's got George Galloway in him!!!!

[Plus a touch of Dr. Kevorkian in him for administering assisted suicide to the Democrats.]

Durbin is being a man. Good for him!!! Other DEMs take note of DUrbin: No apologies, no surrender- the Base DEMANDS no less.

[No sanity- the Base DEMANDS no less.]

The Dems are getting some spine at last and learning that you must NEVER apologize to Neocons, or acknowledge their rhetoric and lies!! No apologies from Dean!! And now none from Durbin!

[Dean and DUrbin. Two Democrat peas in a padded cell pod.]

framed NO MORE!! we gotta take it to 'em every time. DUNK! SWISH!

[FLUSH! (Sound of the Democrat Party future.)]

Dick Durbin is a real man and a real Democrat. I'm so proud he represents me and my family in the Senate.

[Dick DUrbin---the DUmmie senator.]

Hope that we can counteract the freeps.

[DUrbin needs no help to sink himself.]

As a daughter of a Holocaust Survivor and a trained historian, I know this camp is not unlike Bergen Belsen.

[Yeah. It’s a known historical fact that the Bergen Belsen prisoners were tortured with 68 degree air conditioning during the summer and forced to eat large helpings of rice pilaf and glazed chicken.]

Obama could learn a thing or two from Durbin

[How to commit political hari kari.]

I'm so proud of Sen Durbin. Damn, I'm proud of him!

[I’m so proud he smeared the USA!]

When it comes to the official imprimatur on torture, there is undisputed evidence that Rumsfeld and AG Gonzales authorized it!

[It’s horrible. Rumsfeld and Gonzales authorized the horrific ban on prisoner backrubs in Gitmo.]

Durbin has completely pulled the rug out!!!

[…from under his own feet.]

Hey PJ, how about this recent DU thread about Pitt's future in politics! LOL!

Yes, PJ, this has the potential to be very DUFUable, depending on if/how it develops:

Should William Rivers Pitt run for office someday?

Note Pitt's reply:

12. Erm... As soon as things look like they are returning to some semblance of non-insanity, I am going straight back to teaching high school. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200. Thanks for the thought, though.

I will hold my comments for now and see if this becomes a Monday DUFU.

You don't recognize the handsome man who is the younger brother of the junior Senator from New York? HUGH RODHAM.

DemoRats are always myopic and blind to double standards.

You have to remember that when they discuss the "poor" in this country, they are refering to people who have electricity, running water, and free internet (thanks to the Algore FCC telephone tax). People who obviously have computers.

The majority of homes in America have cable, certainly that includes poor people with television sets. How many of them smoke cigarettes regularly (buying cartons every week)? What about lottery tickets?

Our poor are so bad off they can't afford to have their domestic staff (babysitters or maids) live in a shack behind their homes.

Dissent breaking out at DU? Don't expect this discussion between Malva Zebrina and sfexpat2000 concerning the ASS (Andy Stephenson Situation) to be left up after the DU Modstapo sees it. Their shall be NO other opinions other than the official DU opinion allowed. But who knows?

Here is Malve Zebrina's very sober and reasonable comment to DUer Cocoa that incites the subdued ire of sfexpat2000:

31. It takes some amount of balls to post that

I suspect there are many here who avoid these posts/threads, given all that has gone down re this issue all over the internet. I know I have hit the "x" more times than once here, in order to not become involved.

I enjoy DU. I am a liberal and a proud liberal. I like reading DU, and I enjoy it's mix of young and old.

Avoiding these posts, in view of all the information posted on other boards, which many of us have been forced to follow for information since it was prohitibed to be posted here except for the positive and supportive Andy posts from those who started this sadly mismanaged fund raiser, is mostly done in order not to be attacked, or even tombstoned for having the gall to go against the approved of tide.

I don't find this thread informative at all, and I wish this whole issue, in view of how much it has stirred controversy, would be taken to the new Burch site instead of continuing it here, where it seems to be assumed that the majority of DU people, concur. It is only assumed to be so because NO OTHER opinion is allowed.

If there is a site that addresses all of the skeptics, such as the new Burch site, then address it there instead of assuming that there is complete and total acceptance here on DU of all that has been under the microscope since this began.

Why post it here when there is a whole new site upon which to post this support?

I think this personal issue , with it's continued postings, and with it's obvious censorship of those who may just want to have some questions asked, is quite unfair.

Take it to the Burch site where all those who wish to express support can post. Here, those who do still have some reservations or doubts, are prohibited from expressing that, so these continued threads are taking advantage and leeching off that
DU censorship.

That is NOT fair.

It might interest you to know that I am hereby declaring June 16 to be Pied Piper Pitt Day. After all, it was the date that Pitt declared to be (breathless voice) the DAY THAT CHANGED THE WORLD. Every year on Pied Piper Pitt Day people will engage in all sorts of fun festivities such as a contest to see who can stare at their own navel the longest. Also a breathless prose writing contest in which the writer who can demonstrate the best sense of bloated self-importance in an essay will be declared to be the winner. I am open to other suggestions for the festivities of Pied Piper Pitt Day.

Can't think completely straight right now. Picked up a 1.75 liter bottle of Flor de Caña rum and am about 5 glasses into it. BTW, with that bottle I don't have to ration myself quite as much as last week. Saturday night had Kentucky Whiskey which 6 weeks ago I thought tasted great. Now it seems like drinking lighter fluid in comparison to Flor de Caña.

BTW, did you ever get Flor de Caña for Father's Day?

No, and I was a little disappointed--for most of the day. I thought, "It's Father's Day, and they can't get me a lousy bottle of rum?" But then at supper time they surprised me with something even better--my very first laptop computer, a fancy-schmancy one, too. This will come in very handy, especially when I start research on my doctoral dissertation this fall.

So I guess I can go look for the rum on my own later this week.

I wish these morons could live in another country, without the benefit of being known as an American citizen for a year. Live as a citizen of China, North Korea, Iran, etc. Maybe then they would appreciate what they have been blessed with.

These so-called "Americans" wouldn't last a day, much less a year.

That's something I would definitely want. A laptop. One thing great about laptops is there are many places you can take them and not have to use dial-up since you have the place wired with high-speed connection. An example is Starbuck's but there are many other such places. If I can find a source for MP3 players to sell I will treat myself to buying a laptop. On eBay the MP3 players are the hottest items selling. This week will be looking for a dropshipper for this item. I did the same 5 years ago with digital cameras. I didn't have to buy the cameras upfront. Just listed them on eBay and when I recieved the payment, sent the money the dropshipper wanted for the digital camera and kept the difference as profit.

About a year ago Glenn Reynolds pointed out that the Democrats appeared to be movin to the "other side" meaning the anti-American terrorists.

It must be true. DO the self-loathing elites of the Democrat Party really think that this is the way to win elections? You just have to wonder what these fools are thinking. The Democrats haven't won a majority in a national election since 1976. At this rate they'll be lucky to save 35 seats in the Senate and elect a President in 2100.
