DUmmieland is in an uproar because the Leftwing TomPaine.Com website published an article claiming that there was NO vote fraud conspiracy in Ohio. This is heresy in the eyes of the DUmmies because one of their most treasured beliefs is that the EVIL Republicans STOLE the election by rigging the votes in Ohio. One side effect of this belief is that it made Bev Harris a very rich woman since she scammed the DUmmies for at least $300,000 by making them think she was only $10 away from proving vote fraud in Ohio. There are actually two DUmmie threads expressing their OUTRAGE over the TomPaine.Com article. The first THREAD is titled, "What Didn't Happen in Ohio This article DEMANDS a response! and the second THREAD is simply titled, TomPaine.com: What didn't happen in Ohio. Both these threads have the typical lunatic DUmmie responses so both will be DUFUed. As usual, the rantings of the DUmmies unable to let go of their sacred Ohio vote fraud beliefs are in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, with $10 in his pocket that he did NOT send to Bev Harris, is in the [brackets]:
For casting doubt on the conspiracy theory, TomPaine.com and I received virtual barrels of e-mail, most from angry anti-Bush activists who could not believe that their hard work had been for naught. I also heard from Steven Freeman, a University of Pennsylvania professor and author of a widely cited study that served as the primary basis for the pro-theft-theory folks, The Unexplained Exit Poll Discrepancy . His remarks, and my response to them, appeared on TomPaine.com.
[For casting doubt on the Ohio vote fraud conspiracy, I brand you a HERETIC!!! Let the Auto Da Fe begin!]
Privately, I heard from many Democratic officials, election reform advocates and analysts from inside Ohio and elsewhere, who believed my reporting to be accurate, and who were more than a little perturbed by the frenzy, which they found a counterproductive distraction from the serious ongoing effort to reform election practices. Since the debate refuses to die, this seems a good time to trumpet the arrival of not just one, but two, new technical analyses that cast further doubt upon the conspiracy theories out there. The author of the first is an earnest young fellow in San Diego named Rick Brady.
[Privately Ive heard that the only loons left believing in the Ohio vote fraud conspiracy are the DUmmies and Teh-RAY-suh Heinz.]
So, absent the emergence of true polling methodology experts screaming theft, we may reasonably conclude that no evil genius rigged the results. Instead, what we experienced was probably an amalgam of system failings, miscalculations, incompetence, and, in some cases, the variably successful exertions of biased election officials. These are, at worst, symptoms of gaming the system, a deplorable practice hardly limited to this election or, historically, to one party. The anomalies being cited, including by Christopher Hitchensapparently without any notable independent verificationin a widely cited Vanity Fair piece, may prove to be invalid, or attributable as well to other factors. Perhaps fraud occurred on an isolated basis, but no one has come forward with careful documentationas opposed to hystericalunscientific allegation.
[No! No! Dont wanna hear this! Dont you know that Karl Rove was the EVIL genius that rigged the election?]
Until the public becomes confident in the underlying integrity of the electoral apparatus in this country, none of the urgently needed improvements to that system can take place. Thats why the conspiracy-mongering must cease. Can we instead please turn now to the many substantive proposals already being proffered to make things betterincluding pending legislation? Lets keep our eye on the real ball thats in our court.
[Hey! Dont tell me when I have to cease my mongering! Now that we have seen portions of this article, let us now take a look at the DUmmie outraged reaction to it.]
Bullshit! I saw it with my own eyes. I heard it w/ my own ears. I live in Columbus, Ohio too.
[And I saw space aliens land on Washington Mall with my own eyes. I heard it w/ my own ears. I live in the state of Insanity.]
Congratulations! More self-defeating bullshit, naysaying. Wunderbar!
[When even the far left TomPaine website thinks that the DUmmies are a bunch of moonbats, you know they are really far gone.]
Two very close elections. Two Republican Secs of State. Both Republican Secs of State doing double duty as Bush's state campaign chairs. Diebold machines manufactured and in use in key counties in both states. Big GOP donors running Diebold. Not least, a strong racist undertone re voter-access -- longer lines in heavy black precincts, etc. In sum, that is the infrastructure of cheating. Bush-Cheney cheated. Kerry-Edwards won.
[You certainly do present a convincing case . that your oxygen supply was turned off at a young age.]
WE ARE NOT GOING TO STOP UNTIL JUSTICE IS DONE!
[THE COMEDY WILL NEVER END!]
I just emailed Russ Baker begging him to tell me this is satire.
[So sorry. Its the bitter truth.]
my response is that he's right on And I would add that I've suspected for a long time that some of the "activism" is actually intended to deliberately create and nourish unwarranted distrust in the system for malicious reasons.
[And this Dummie wins a Kewpie doll for having a very brief moment of mental clarity!]
Ooooh, that sounds like fun. Is this on the "are all ZOTS equal?" zot thread? I'll have to take a look. Got pinged by Meek on it, but haven't checked it yet.
Yes.
The flight to Baltimore was for the pre-op meeting with Undie's surgeon. That dailykos link I sent you (yesterday?) stated that he was also giving a seminar in Columbus (probably one of their idiotic election fraud "teach-ins").
If their little beady eyes are ever opened, Andy is gonna suffer a fate worthy of the grifter that he is! But--I think he is safe in DUmmieland! LOL!
I have never before seen a whole group of people that are so gullible! I don't know how they make it through a day!
WA. PA. MI. WI.
FRIEMDS countrymen give me your ATTANTION.
poetic ain't it
Some pretty blatent fraud here as well. I'm not real happy with our reps for deciding to let it slide.

Yeah, there were a lot of (a) "pledges" and (b) "the check's in the mail"--in addition to the usual "hugs" and "love" and "kisses" and "prayers," which in DUmmieland pass for legal-tender currency.
This is what I like about Free Republic; its utter honesty, and conservatism in reporting revenues.
Free Republic "counts" nothing until the cash is actually in the bank, their bank. (I know, because I send checks, distrusting electronic or credit-card transfers--remember, money is my own occupation.)
When it's in the bank, Free Republic counts it.
But not before.
There are SO many things to like about Free Republic, and two of them are (a) honesty and (b) conservatism.
I can't believe we let this slide, either. This is blatant, egregious fraud, even worse than trying to register Daffy Duck or Mary Poppins. And yet, hardly a ripple in the MSM about it.
Just read your zot post. Well said. And btw, it didn't take long for that account to be suspended, did it?
The DUmmies are funnie.
All week long, they raved about what a "great place" Johns Hopkins is.
Now they're damning it.
Johns Hopkins is probably okay--I am no "expert" on medical facilities--probably at least as good as any hospital in Nebraska (or the state of Washington, for that matter).
Another way the DUmmies are funnie is how they mock and ridicule Christians, Jews, and others, for having "religious faith" rather than relying upon "infallible rational reasoning"--but then the DUmmies turn around and "BELEEVE!" in the most preposterous notions, such as believing in something will actually make it happen.
Well, right now, the DUmmies are going nutso over some church in Waynesville, NC whose pastor supposedly told everyone (before the election) that they had to vote for Bush. And he apparently also just told all of the Democrats in the congregation that they had to leave. I did hear this item on CNN earlier today (newscaster gloating as she read it), but I haven't seen anything from a reliable source yet:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x3604552
Well, here's one link to that church story:
http://www.citizen-times.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050506/NEWS/50506020/1001
...and one more link to WorldNetDaily's coverage of the church story:
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=44152
I have to say that *IF* this story is true, I disagree with this pastor's actions. Aside from him kicking people out of the church on the basis of their political leanings, the Left is going to use his actions to paint ALL churches with that brush, and will try to use it as a basis to lobby lawmakers to revoke the tax-exempt status of ALL churches. Funny that there is no such outcry when African-American pastors endorse Democratic candidates.
A two-day sensation.
This whole deal about religion mystifies me.
(For the record, I am Roman Catholic.)
What is a "religion"? Is it not possible we use too narrow of a definition, in defining "religion"?
Religion is a set of beliefs (or knowledge) upon which one bases his identity, his values, and his conduct.
So, yes, we all can agree that Presbyterianism, for example, is a religion.
But the same things that make Presbyterianism a religion, make Planned Parenthood, for example, a religion.
One of the tenets of Planned Parenthood is that one must believe in abortion. No ifs, ands, or buts about it; one MUST believe in abortion, or be expelled.
And so if this news story about Democrats being expelled from a church is actually true, well, it does not particularly bother me; after all, they are merely following the example of another religion, Planned Parenthood, in demanding ideological adherence.
Actually, one could argue that atheism is also a "religion", because it also requires a belief set - one that does not include God.
If they raised $32,000 wouldn't they be $7000 OVER, not $4800 short?
Also genetic. It is a scientific fact that only Presbyterian stomachs from the Midwest can digest summer sausages.
