DUmmieland is in an uproar because the Leftwing TomPaine.Com website published an article claiming that there was NO vote fraud conspiracy in Ohio. This is heresy in the eyes of the DUmmies because one of their most treasured beliefs is that the EVIL Republicans STOLE the election by rigging the votes in Ohio. One side effect of this belief is that it made Bev Harris a very rich woman since she scammed the DUmmies for at least $300,000 by making them think she was only $10 away from proving vote fraud in Ohio. There are actually two DUmmie threads expressing their OUTRAGE over the TomPaine.Com article. The first THREAD is titled, "What Didn't Happen in Ohio This article DEMANDS a response! and the second THREAD is simply titled, TomPaine.com: What didn't happen in Ohio. Both these threads have the typical lunatic DUmmie responses so both will be DUFUed. As usual, the rantings of the DUmmies unable to let go of their sacred Ohio vote fraud beliefs are in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, with $10 in his pocket that he did NOT send to Bev Harris, is in the [brackets]:
For casting doubt on the conspiracy theory, TomPaine.com and I received virtual barrels of e-mail, most from angry anti-Bush activists who could not believe that their hard work had been for naught. I also heard from Steven Freeman, a University of Pennsylvania professor and author of a widely cited study that served as the primary basis for the pro-theft-theory folks, The Unexplained Exit Poll Discrepancy . His remarks, and my response to them, appeared on TomPaine.com.
[For casting doubt on the Ohio vote fraud conspiracy, I brand you a HERETIC!!! Let the Auto Da Fe begin!]
Privately, I heard from many Democratic officials, election reform advocates and analysts from inside Ohio and elsewhere, who believed my reporting to be accurate, and who were more than a little perturbed by the frenzy, which they found a counterproductive distraction from the serious ongoing effort to reform election practices. Since the debate refuses to die, this seems a good time to trumpet the arrival of not just one, but two, new technical analyses that cast further doubt upon the conspiracy theories out there. The author of the first is an earnest young fellow in San Diego named Rick Brady.
[Privately Ive heard that the only loons left believing in the Ohio vote fraud conspiracy are the DUmmies and Teh-RAY-suh Heinz.]
So, absent the emergence of true polling methodology experts screaming theft, we may reasonably conclude that no evil genius rigged the results. Instead, what we experienced was probably an amalgam of system failings, miscalculations, incompetence, and, in some cases, the variably successful exertions of biased election officials. These are, at worst, symptoms of gaming the system, a deplorable practice hardly limited to this election or, historically, to one party. The anomalies being cited, including by Christopher Hitchensapparently without any notable independent verificationin a widely cited Vanity Fair piece, may prove to be invalid, or attributable as well to other factors. Perhaps fraud occurred on an isolated basis, but no one has come forward with careful documentationas opposed to hystericalunscientific allegation.
[No! No! Dont wanna hear this! Dont you know that Karl Rove was the EVIL genius that rigged the election?]
Until the public becomes confident in the underlying integrity of the electoral apparatus in this country, none of the urgently needed improvements to that system can take place. Thats why the conspiracy-mongering must cease. Can we instead please turn now to the many substantive proposals already being proffered to make things betterincluding pending legislation? Lets keep our eye on the real ball thats in our court.
[Hey! Dont tell me when I have to cease my mongering! Now that we have seen portions of this article, let us now take a look at the DUmmie outraged reaction to it.]
Bullshit! I saw it with my own eyes. I heard it w/ my own ears. I live in Columbus, Ohio too.
[And I saw space aliens land on Washington Mall with my own eyes. I heard it w/ my own ears. I live in the state of Insanity.]
Congratulations! More self-defeating bullshit, naysaying. Wunderbar!
[When even the far left TomPaine website thinks that the DUmmies are a bunch of moonbats, you know they are really far gone.]
Two very close elections. Two Republican Secs of State. Both Republican Secs of State doing double duty as Bush's state campaign chairs. Diebold machines manufactured and in use in key counties in both states. Big GOP donors running Diebold. Not least, a strong racist undertone re voter-access -- longer lines in heavy black precincts, etc. In sum, that is the infrastructure of cheating. Bush-Cheney cheated. Kerry-Edwards won.
[You certainly do present a convincing case . that your oxygen supply was turned off at a young age.]
WE ARE NOT GOING TO STOP UNTIL JUSTICE IS DONE!
[THE COMEDY WILL NEVER END!]
I just emailed Russ Baker begging him to tell me this is satire.
[So sorry. Its the bitter truth.]
my response is that he's right on And I would add that I've suspected for a long time that some of the "activism" is actually intended to deliberately create and nourish unwarranted distrust in the system for malicious reasons.
[And this Dummie wins a Kewpie doll for having a very brief moment of mental clarity!]
And you raised suspicions of a scam back then as well.
The Grand DUmmie "Skinner" asked the felonious DUmmie Andy Stephenson to sign a "medical release form" allowing Johns Hopkins to give him (the Grand DUmmie "Skinner") the information about the felonious DUmmie Andy Stephenson.
So far, the felonious DUmmie Andy Stephenson has not indicated he will sign the form.
Uh, like John Kerry and the form 180?
Also, I sent all of this information to the infamous Bev Harris, for her illumination and her reaction, but while it may have (or perhaps not) illuminated her, it does not seem likely we will get her reaction.
Okay, it's circa 5:15 p.m. (Nebraska time; 6:15 p.m. Johns Hopkins time), and I have to go to the "big city" to pick up some money that's owed me, and another package of cigarettes.
Since things seem to be quiet in DUmmieland at the moment, nothing likely to happen for the next hour or so.....
Back in La-La Land when I was publishing my Scandal Sheet comix newspaper, my art director rather calmly told me he wouldn't be able to do any more work in a month because he had pancreatic cancer and would no longer be in this world. He was so calm about it I thought he was kidding. He wasn't. In one month he was gone. It was that quick.
"...I have to go to the "big city" to pick up some money that's owed me, and another package of cigarettes."
Good grief, man -- HOW MANY packs of cigarettes are you smoking in a day? Slow it down -- better yet, stop it. We want you around for a VERY long time.
NOTE: fs is stepping out. You know what this means: another breaking story at DUmmieland while he's gone.
LOL, exactly what I was thinking. So far, nothing seems to be going on. Maybe FS will get back in time to enjoy the live fireworks.
I hope they start a new thread because that Skinner one has gotten quite cumbersome.
HARDEE HAR HAR
That was good!
I was gone most of the day closing an $85,000 deal with a customer so I am just now getting caught up.
But did anyone catch this post on DU?
"you guys are like
Bush supporter when questioned about WMD.
I'm not some nobody.
And i already said 18 of the 20 calls to jh did get the hippa reaction.
So I started calling pretending to be the friend of an uninsured, out of state patient looking for all the options for my dying friend.
I'll diary about that later.
For now Ill post a letter I sent to a Lawyer at JH.
....
Hi Dan,
Thanks for replying.
Briefly I'd like to explain why I called in the first place. Over the
past couple of years Andy Stephenson has been involved in a few
questionable donation drives that ended rather badly. In the past six
months I've received no less than 40 emails from Andy, or one of his
agents, soliciting donations for everything from lawyer fees,
unemployment relief, to medical tests.
This week the request took a rather shocking turn when the pleas for
money stated the were to receive cancer treatment.
Now if Andy in fact does require this treatment I'm not the type of
person that would try and hamper those efforts. However, there have
been several claims made that just don't quite add up.
As you will see in the links provided it has been made clear that
Johns Hopkins is the only hospital that can do the procedure and due
to his financial situation he must pay the hospital 25 thousand
dollars up front to schedule the surgery. The remaining 25 thousand is
apparently due before the surgery or shortly there after. This part is
not clear.
What I find disturbing is how the five main people collecting the
money will drag the good name of Johns Hopkins through the mud in
order to get people to feel sorry for Andy and fork over their hard
earned money fighting the soulless hospital administration.
Several people in the DailyKos links I have provided describe a much
different hospital system than the stereotypical impression, one often
promoted in the media, that Andy's donation crew repeat in every plea
they send out.
If Andy can get adequate treatment in his home state of Washington
then I think the methods being used to collect the money verge on
fraud. But I'm not a lawyer or law enforcement member.
To make a short story long. Had Andy said
"I'm very sick, the local cancer hospital says my chances of survival
are 50-50 but Johns Hopkins has a treatment that will cost 20 thousand
dollars more but increase my odds to 70-30"
I think his friends and supporters would still have come up with the money.
Instead he has allowed Johns Hopkins to look like a greedy heartless
corporation without ever disclosing any alternative options.
I'm sure Johns Hopkins fundraises from the progressive community from
time to time and I think this kind of behavior hurts the reputation of
your institution and may hamper future fundraising efforts.
So, that's the reason for my concern. Please see below the links to
just some of the sites asking for donations.
The DailyKos for example has US senators posting on it and receives
half a million hits a day.
If I thought these pleas for money were limited to fringe site with
not much traffic I might not care. But considering the reach of these
sites I had to get in touch.
Thank you for your time.
Steve
Here is a typical comment from the threads.....
"I just sent some money. Not much, but I'm amazed that John Hopkins
has gotten to the point where they are asking for upfront money on a
$50,000 life saving surgery.Goddamn, I'm angry.
The notion that John Hopkins is demanding 50% down for life saving
surgery makes my fucking blood boil. I wonder how much they charge for
the same surgery to a Health Insurance company? Usually hospitals
charge the uninsured 2-3x the rate charged insurance companies."

Inbetweentimes, the Grand DUmmie "Skinner" explains to the DUmmies how "trolls" are caught in DUmmieland:
Skinner ADMIN (1000+ posts) Tue May-10-05 07:10 PM Response to Reply #487 495. We don't let them do it.
Believe me... we do everything reasonable to try to stop them before they get in, and we catch *a lot* of returned disruptors every day.
Our policy is to ban anyone who was formerly banned as soon as we become aware that they have returned. We have a number of systems in place to catch people who return under different usernames, and most of them do get turned away at the door the moment they return. But determined disruptors with a little knowledge about the Internet can always find a way to get through.
If/when they do get through, then they might try to disrupt. If that happens, we check again to see if they are a returned disruptor. In this case, it was a clear match.
"The Grand DUmmie "Skinner" is still waiting for the felonious DUmmie Andy Stephenson to return his frantic telephone calls; so far, no one's home."
Hmmmm...I thought one of the DUmmies mentioned that he/she/it had PM'd Undie's cell phone number to Skinner so he could call Undie directly. This was, of course, because Undie was "40 minutes away" from a computer, in someone's car. But this was WELL over 40 minutes ago.
Oh, yeah. All you have to do is google "Andy Stephenson", and you can see the pleas for help going out on websites across the country.

524. How long do we have to wait for an answer?
How long can it take to verify this?
Hee hee...I've been wondering the same thing. It has been awfully quiet over in DUmmieland. Only activity I've seen has been DUmmies trying to reassure each other.
The circle of DUmmies patting each other on the back in reassurance - while singing Kumbaya!
What a crowd!
Well, I guess that's preferable to other activities they might do in a circle.

527. Uh, ya think Andy's BUSY, maybe, and not on top of a fax machine?

ya make me wonder.
Love your screen-name! Question for you: Did Jesus ask for a Dr.'s report BEFORE he healed people? NO? Then Shaddup. (I mean that in the nicest possible way.)
Truth be told - I had to fight to get that image out of my mind and REPLACE it with the patting/kumbaya picture.
;-)
The Party of Love and Understanding is at it again!
LOL!~!!!
