Regarding Terri...
Just Me - Everday /Blog ^ | Sunday, March 20, 2005 | Just Kimberly

Sunday, March 20, 2005 I know you are wondering what is wrong with me... If you are one of my dedicated readers (I do have a few), then you know why I am doing what I am doing today. If you are new to me and my version of writing, then you are probably wondering why I have committed the last several posts to Terri Schiavo and her fight to stay alive.

How is this relative to anything?

To me, everything is relative. The air, water, earth, nutrition, politics, Christianity - all relative to the other.

We are Human Beings - put on this earth by our Father God - with only a few things he expects from us: Take care of what he has given us, bring others to His son, and do good things to leave His light shining in this world. It really is THAT easy.

In the case of Terri Schindler Schiavo - this has become more than of issue of 'a Right to Die', but more of an issue of things Democrats are afraid will happen in the future. Will this case set a precedent that will no longer uphold their sacred 'pro-choice' cow? Will this case be a landmark that no longer allows them to hang onto the delusion that the Left is Right?

Think about the bigger picture here.

Historically, the Democratic party has been for the 'working man'. A party dedicated to making sure there were fair wages, decent working conditions, plentiful jobs. My parents were hard core Democrats as I was groeing up - and when they discovered my 'Conservative Republican'views, announced to me they 'couldn't understand what had happened to me. How could I have changed so much to believe the way I do?'

It's very simple.

When you become a Christian, you begin to realize the lies and deceit that are surrounding you. You realize you have been lied to by the ENTIRE system. This is where the relevance comes in.

The Doctors have lied to us for years regarding our health - leading us to believe there is 'no cure' for most ailments. But, I suppose you really cannot blame the Doctors, when the medical schools have been controlled by the Pharmaceutical Companies - right down to the curriculum they teach. If they do not teach accordingly - funding is withdrawn. Were you aware of that? Most people are not - and most Doctors fresh out of school do not even know it.

This is why the Nutrition industry, i.e. supplements, etc. get such a hard way to go, and Holistic medicine is so tough to swallow - because it goes against the lies we have been fed all our lives.

In relation to Terri, this is EXTREMELY RELEVANT! If the 'therapy' she really needs were allowed by her husband - this battle would have been over a long time ago, and not lingered on for 15 years.

Lets also talk about the relationship to the media and the lies we are told on a daily basis.

I remember growing up - if it was on the 6 o'clock news - it was gospel.

But guess what? The truth is finally coming out, and the Main Stream Media is slanted to the Liberal Left. In other words, we are only told what THEY want us to know.

My parents are still under the assumption that the MSM id true - and refuse to believe the TRUTH - such is the reason for the unbalance in this country.

Again - the relevamce to Terri? This afternoon, as I continued my vigil for Terri by watching C-span - I heard many voice their 'uneducated' opinions as to why this 'poor lady' shoulkd be allowed to die.

It's not really their fault, though. They only know what they have heard from the MSM. Had they taken the time to discover the REAL TRUTH - they would know Terri is not a vegetable, they would know her husband is in a common law marriage with another woman and has two children with her. They would know, as people who have chosen to educate themselves by other means - that Terri is capable of emotion, communication, and swallowing - and has only been denied these things due to her husband's wishes.

So....this is the question. When are we, as Americans, going to take responsibility for our OWN education, and learn about how all things coincide? When will we stop accepting things as truth, without the facts to back them up? When are we going to begin to believe that the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, and The Great Pumpkin are related to the politicians we have elected to office, the doctors who give us care, and the information the news decides to allow us to know?

When you guys can answer that question - you will know why I feel the way I feel .

God Bless you, Terri. We have Faith That God Will Take Care of You - When 'the powers that be' will not.

"First they came for gay marriage, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't gay. Then they came for the right to choose, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a woman. Then they came for Muslim-Americans, but I didn't speak up because I wasn't Muslim. Then they came for the Schiavo family, and I didn't speak up because I didn't have a family member who was dying. Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left to speak up for me."

I hope a opinion other than the majority is allowed,Although iam a progressive I agree and read this blog now and than. But this time people have crossed the line,Although my heart goes out to the families involved in this terrible(family) position. This is like mob rule effect,Where is the outrage over capital punisment. This nearly EXACT situation is being played out thousands of times a week,Why is the federal govt involved? Iam so disturbed by this.

Nice thoughts...

It's amazing isn't it? People become alarmed about animals being starved, or mistreated, and the perpetrator is put behind bars. (Rightfully so...) Now the Dems are saying its none of our business and we should allow the husband make this barbaric decision, when he has some explaining to do.

The world is certainly upside down at the moment.

The MOB Mainstream Media hids the fact from the American People that TERRI is NOT on a respirator while telling us that she is.

The CLINTON TV Talking Heads whose lies of omission and commission got him past Impeachment now also tell us that TERRI is on a Respirator.

The Enemy is now Within...
and always has been.

No need to justify that you are behaving like any decent, god-fearing person by being concerned that another innocent, defenseless, human being is being murdered by evil people.

Why is the federal govt involved? Iam so disturbed by this.

Read this and MAYBE you will have a better understanding.
I don't know how to post active link but...http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/conlaw/cruzan.html
You will see that this case CLOSELY parallels the Shiavo case.
The SCOTUS ruled against the parents for lack of 'Clear and convincing evidense' of Mrs. Cruzan's wishes and then reversed with the parents PRESENTED CLEAR AND CONVINCING EVIDENCE.
Precedent.

Ronnie, Thank you for your contributions today. I have posted them to my journal - hoping to get the message out. I cannot thank you enough. Terri has consumed my thoughts today( and many days before), and I pray God's will is done. Rather than her 'husband's'. JK

At the end of our lives only two things count for anything. The first is our relationship to God. The second is how did we treat the people we met in lifes journey. Everything else is meaningless.

Someone had better get involved and I thank God that there are some in congress who will get involved and help Terri. This is such an abomination that in this civilized country, it is ok to murder a human being - Terri. It makes me so upset that she is being taken advantage of. How dare her so called husband do this to her; how dare he speak on her behalf. I know it's not my position to judge but Michael Schaivo seems to be below the scum of the earth. There has to be some ulterior motive on his part for staying in this when he could simply divorce Terri and let her parents take care of her. Oh yes, this is a private family matter and yes it does happen every day, but it should never happen when the human being involved never gave consent; Terri is the ONLY person who has that right and she is being denied. This is so upsetting and God help us if this maniac Michael is not stopped. He should be forced to divorce Terri. God bless you Terri and keep you in His care..

Then the King will say to those at his right hand, `Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.'

Then the righteous will answer him, `Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink?
And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee? And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?'

And the King will answer them, `Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.'

Matthew 25:34-40

That about says it all for me!

I understand your thoughts - and I believe that is the issue. Even those on Death Row have been given rights not given to Terri. They are allowed appeals to the Federal level - Terri has not.

When a woman, who has not committed a crime, who cannot speak for herself - is sentanced to death by a 'husband' who has deserted her - intervention must come from somewhere. Florida dropped the ball, so the Government has to pick it up.

All we are asking for is that her case be heard by another Judge. Give her the rights allowed to others.

AND...considering her parents are ready, willing and able to care for her - give the guardianship to people who openly love her - not who are abusing her for finacial gain.

Its called MONEY. If she dies, and they are still legally married - he gets all of the money being held in trust from the outcome of the malpractice suit.
If he gives up guardianship, divorces her, and allows her parents to have her - He and his 'new woman' get nothing.

Cash is King. My question - what does Judge Greer have to gain from all of this? That is something to ponder. Does he really want to go down in history as the Judge who refused a woman the right to survive? I wonder...

I guess it all comes down to money. The love of money is truly the root of all evil.

And as for judge Greer - I'm clueless on this one. As far as I'm concerned, Greer should be dismissed on ethical reasons alone. All he had to do was deny Michael the privelege of killing his wife. What happened to preserving life when in doubt? There is more than a little doubt here and I find it so disturbing.
