Sean Hannity on the Rise or Stale?

Sean Hannity at Hannity.com

Sean Hannity seems to me to be the most ambitious guy in talk radio and on TV. His conservatism and optimism have taken him right to the top. I must say when I first heard Sean Hannity I thought, wow this guy is gunning for Rush LImbaugh's top spot, and is going to catch him in no time. He has big, big guests, always wins his arguments, and is a genuine nice guy. Then something happened - I started getting annoyed. It's not that I really disagreed with the guy, but I'm just having trouble listening to him? I don't know if it's too many charities on the go, to many books, or just that his just too nice a guy. I know, I know, this aren't really harsh criticisms, but I want to be entertained, and the entertainment value just isn't there for me. Am I wrong? Has Sean Hannity maxed out? Or could he keep climbing to the top at take out O'Reilly on TV, and Rush on the radio?

Sean Hannity  might be the only one left standing in the next 20 years, but for now, I think he's done as well as he's going to. What are your thoughts?

When I listen to Savage, I feel like I have had a good rant, without actually having to do it myself.

Stale would be the kind way to say it. Boring is a better way.

Entertainers, for the most part, should not be taken seriously.

Sadly, it often strikes me that right-thinkers are too quick to 'eat thier own', whereas Dems work together much better (albiet for a losing cause these days, thankfully).

Sean's popularity is good for everyone, regardless of his "style points". We should be happy that he has the #2 most listened to show behind Rush and not Al Franken, no?

Rush is enormously entertaining (except when talking about sports, zzzzzzzz).

Although I'm not a sports fan, I don't mind when he talks about sports. He at least seems to bring some knowledge to the conversation.

My brain hurts, though, when he starts talking about science, or about economics beyond the "cut taxes" mantra. He quickly gets in over his head.

On politics, he can't be beat.

Hannity helped with the election....now is his big chance to make some news...ala expose`

He needs to break something big....can the Flipper chit chat....he's in media-centric NY, help expose the Lib's financial lifelines and waste of our tax money.

Arts & Humanities? pBS? College Lecture Tours? Planned Parenthood? Liberal Charities? The list is endless, the trails are not hard to find....the proof can be.

OK, sexist. I guess a Republican sexist is better than just a sexist, so I'll let it go...whatever.

As PeteRNC says, let's not eat our own.

We need to consolidate and let the Dems fight among themselves.

I really can't say. What little I listen to Sean, I know way more about him than I care to know. It's hard to listen to him, Medved is my choice but can't get him when I need to be on the road, and then only when Beck is on his TV or movie kick. I've even had to switch to BO, now THAT is the bottom of the barrel.

I love Sean . I listen to him more then I do Rush. I do NOT like Hannity and Colmes, cuz I can't stand Colmes. Colmes interrupts EVERY conservative. (They need to get rid of Colmes)

you are right on.......I"m a total Repub but I just don't like Sean too much. He is just as bad an interrupter as Chris Matthews and he is good at dodging and weaving but he is not that original nor intellectual. He comes off to me as a little boy with some power

Sean, quit talking to the bleeding heart, terrorist loving jerk. he wants to treat terrorists like CSI: Miami which is what Clinton/Reno did.

I'm about to switch over to Medved.

I agree that Medved and Ingrham are the most astute and best debaters.......Sean is an interrupter and not all that bright, Ann Coulter is a good attack dog but uses one liners all the time to humiliate and not to enlighten as much.

No, I'm not kidding. I love Sean. I dislike his man on the street and Flipper is a moron, but Sean is ok. I can't stand Colmes.

Well, he may be giving the kooks a platform just so his listeners can see just how kooky they are. Savage played sound bites from the protestors the day after the inaugural, and it was really something else. I mean, these people are absolutely consumed by hatred for the President, and their reasons are just nutty. All they can do is repeat what they've heard their moronic leaders say...Bush lied, Bush is after oil, Bush is trying to ruin the country...blah blah blah. It was sickening and funny at the same time. Savage was making sure everyone knew what kind of people we are up against. I think Sean does that sometimes, too.
